Disadvantages: The steps maybe...Nothing major at all!

...and although 5 weeks may be a bit boring in the same 4 walls as you can see above the views are stunning and the service offered must be one of the best for this type of accomodation. The only downside being the 130 steps from the Paseo Maritimo up to our apartment but even then it certainly helps you work off the calories you'll inevitably put on eating and drinking so well in this fine city. There is also a sister hostel owned by the same owners called The Apuntadores situated right in the old part of the city centre too which I have heard rave reviews for. Barcelo Cala Vinas a scenic place to please us?

Advantages: Immaculate hotel, great entertainment team, lovely location and superb food.
Disadvantages: Remoteish location, lacking room facilities and the damn bingo!

Calas de Mallorca - a familys point of view

Advantages: Sun, sea sand, nie friendly people, quiet environment, everything is cheap
Disadvantages: It rained for 3 days ; everything was so cheap I had to buy another suitcase to bring everything home!

...I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Calas de Mallorca, with my family including 3 youngsters aged between 7 and 14. As this was the first family holiday for 5 years, and the first time the boys have flown, I wanted it to be special. The travel agent was very helpful finding a holiday within our budget and with plenty for the children. So in June we found ourselves jetting out of Leeds aiport to Palma. The main problem with the outward journey was because it was a night flight, the children were up all day, all the night and cranky for the first day of the holiday. The coach journey between Palma and Calas de Mallorca took just over an hour and a half, with the travel rep complaining all the time that she was tired!!! Operating since 1994, it lists current available jobs in radio, tv and print media, recent news articles on all these forms of media and a discussion board. Now being a graduate in a degree of this field of work, the jobs board has been an interest to me for quite a while...but don't expect to find work instantly. Anything but. Copious numbers of people view these adverts (you can see how many exactly in the job listings), but don't let that deter you of course - if you're good and experienced enough then you'll come across the job for you eventually. Why, yes, something that seems so simply and basic has it's place on the World Wide Web (yes, I'm aware of the irony!), but fear not...it's not as basic as it seems! Rather than just typing in a word to discover its definition, dictionary.com does provide a far greater service. Since it's launch way back in 1995 (were websites even around then?!), it's one of the world's most popular services, as naturally many people will just type in 'dictionary.com' into their browser if they need to find the definition of a word...even if they don't know the website exists, it makes sense to have a crack at it! The website does provide a thesaurus option, translator and encyclopaedia...for anyone even contemplating steering away from Wikipedia, God forbid! But there are other quirks to the website...

It is effectively a review site where people can share their opinions and details of different topics upon different channels. The channels themselves are not like ciao so much where people write reviews about certain specific products or services, though Helium have more general topics to talk about.
