...This Disgo camcorder is a great little gadget. I saw this camcorder on the TV program 'Something for the Weekend' on BBC1. They described it a fun, cheap and easy to use camcorder. I have since brought one for myself. I have to say it's defiantly fun, cheap and easy to use! The camcorder has 60 minutes of recording time, runs on two AA batteries and has its own USB connecter integrated, this connects to any laptop or PC via the USB socket. The camcorder is approximately 15 centimetres tall and 4centimeters wide. Simple buttons and on screen prompts make it simple to use even for technophobes. The greatest value for money camcorder

...It had taken me weeks before i had found a suitable low budget camera. Lucky for me i came across this wonderful piece. I must say that if there is anyone out there looking for a basic camera and doesnt want anything too pricey or proffesional, i would definatly recomend this camcorder as it does the job well and easily. The samsung f30 records nicely and also records great sounds. Another good feature is that the camcorder is very small and therefore very portable. I could take this anywhere with out it giving me trouble. The zoom is also fantastic along with its features including a time-lapse mode which is a lot of fun. Also it comes with a cable that lets you hook it up to the tv to view your footage which is very neat. All these features surely makes this camera a must buy for the price but the looks of this camera sums...

...Having spent £££ on a Sony digicam, I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with a case to protect my investment. So, about three months ago I bought the LCS-VA5 case for £39 from a supplier link on Ciao. This compact case is made of high quality materials and provides solid padding all round. The main compartment is semi-rigid with adjustable dividers to accomodate different sizes of camcorder. There are zipped compartments on the front and sides giving plenty of space for a charger, spare batteries, spare tapes, etc. It also has a 'hidden compartment' at the bottom which adds to the padding if not being used. It has got many pre-programmed special effects which can be quite good for livening up those home movies. The battery life on the lithium ion battery that comes with it can last more than 5 hours of filming. Getting movie data from camcorder to computer

...This camcorder comes with 2 booklets. Both booklets cover many camcorders. For this reason it's hard to read. The big booklet covers the camcorder and the other the interface from camcorder to computer. The camcorder comes with a CD-Rom with software for a windows computer, and a special USB cable that one end fits the camera, the other fits the computer USB port. Installing the software is no problem. The software is a problem. All but a tiny part of the total software has to do with USB streaming video to the computer. When you follow the instructions provided in the booklet you need to wait quite awhile for the windows wizard to detect your doing something. Then a new hardware wizard comes up and it takes a couple of minutes to find the driver and then complains the driver is not approved by Microsoft. You click Load Anyway...

Samsung an average camcorder

Advantages: Compact, convienient and fantastic picture quality
Disadvantages: Unreliable and poor customer service.

...Well it looks very nice and as with all Samsung products it seems to list a heap of fancy features that are on the leading edge of technology. Reliability: I have had this camcorder for almost 6 months and am sorry to say that it has just been sent for repair for the second time due to a manufacturing fault (The LCD screen died). So I am going to say not very reliable at all but this is to be expected with leading edge technology I guess. Ease of use: At first not very. I am quite good generally with electronics but found this confusing and had to sit and read through the manual before I could use this.
