...This Disgo camcorder is a great little gadget. I saw this camcorder on the TV program 'Something for the Weekend' on BBC1. They described it a fun, cheap and easy to use camcorder. I have since brought one for myself. I have to say it's defiantly fun, cheap and easy to use! The camcorder has 60 minutes of recording time, runs on two AA batteries and has its own USB connecter integrated, this connects to any laptop or PC via the USB socket. The camcorder is approximately 15 centimetres tall and 4centimeters wide. Simple buttons and on screen prompts make it simple to use even for technophobes. A quality camcorder case

Advantages: Durable, quality materials and serious padding
Disadvantages: Only protects from light rain

...Having spent £££ on a Sony digicam, I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with a case to protect my investment. So, about three months ago I bought the LCS-VA5 case for £39 from a supplier link on Ciao. This compact case is made of high quality materials and provides solid padding all round. The main compartment is semi-rigid with adjustable dividers to accomodate different sizes of camcorder. There are zipped compartments on the front and sides giving plenty of space for a charger, spare batteries, spare tapes, etc. It also has a 'hidden compartment' at the bottom which adds to the padding if not being used. It has a large, padded carry strap and metal clips and zips which adds to its feeling of quality. The greatest value for money camcorder

...It had taken me weeks before i had found a suitable low budget camera. Lucky for me i came across this wonderful piece. I must say that if there is anyone out there looking for a basic camera and doesnt want anything too pricey or proffesional, i would definatly recomend this camcorder as it does the job well and easily. The samsung f30 records nicely and also records great sounds. Another good feature is that the camcorder is very small and therefore very portable. I could take this anywhere with out it giving me trouble. The zoom is also fantastic along with its features including a time-lapse mode which is a lot of fun. Also it comes with a cable that lets you hook it up to the tv to view your footage which is very neat. All these features surely makes this camera a must buy for the price but the looks of this camera sums...

It has got many pre-programmed special effects which can be quite good for livening up those home movies. I managed to take it out in winter weather with my friends and make a pretty funny half an hours muck about look quite professional. The battery life on the lithium ion battery that comes with it can last more than 5 hours of filming. The major flaw with this model of camera is that there isn't a fold out screen on it and you have to use the view finder. Its a bag that does what you expect

Disadvantages: Style points are lacking

...Nothing to get too excited about this. It compares to many other similar products but is noticeble in being very light weight and fits snuggly over the shoulder. Plenty of room for camcorder, cables, spare battery packs and discs / memory cards. Even then, there is sufficient room to add a slim digital camera. The style is okay but not inspiring. However, the price is good (about £13.00) for what you get and you can expect durability. Most importantly, if your camera takes a knock, then this provides a high level of shock protection. Weather protection is an important feature and I would be happy to have this on my shoulder in the rain wihout fear of the camera getting wet. However, I would'nt leave it outside of a tent etc whist camping. Security is also fine. Straps will not break. Worth a buy,...

Getting movie data from camcorder to computer

...This camcorder comes with 2 booklets. Both booklets cover many camcorders. For this reason it's hard to read. The big booklet covers the camcorder and the other the interface from camcorder to computer. The camcorder comes with a CD-Rom with software for a windows computer, and a special USB cable that one end fits the camera, the other fits the computer USB port. Installing the software is no problem. The software is a problem. All but a tiny part of the total software has to do with USB streaming video to the computer. When you follow the instructions provided in the booklet you need to wait quite awhile for the windows wizard to detect your doing something. Then a new hardware wizard comes up and it takes a couple of minutes to find the driver and then complains the driver is not approved by Microsoft. You click Load Anyway...
