Bose Sound Dock (2nd Generation)

Advantages: Incredible sound from such a small unit, good build quality
Disadvantages: Price

...I bought this unit in November this year. There are two models, the original sound dock which I think is about £199 and the second generation one (the one I bought) which was £279 from John Lewis. The second generation one is basically the same as the first except: a) it has a rechargeable battery b) it has a swing out dock c) it has an auxiliary (3.5mm) jack input If you just want a basic model, then go for the first gen one. I got the second gen one because I thought the battery was a useful addition as is the auxiliary 3.5mm input - I have mine connected to an apple airport express that streams itunes from my laptop to my bedroom although I have used it in a friends house with my ipod too. ...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't say enough good things about the Bose SoundDock

Disadvantages: can't connect to a computer, price

...figure out what they do. It also charges your iPod while it's docked, so there's no worry about it running out of battery while using the SoundDock. I think the best thing I could say about this, is that two people, after having listened to my SoundDock have literally rushed out and bought their own. ...Looking for a camera that was easy to use I came across this camera from Kodak the DX 3500 now with a Camera Dock. The 2.2 MegaPixel image chip gives 12 pictures of 1800x1200 or 48 in 900x600 using the onboard memory of 8 Megs. The 1.8 in (45.7mm) LCD screen gives a clear if small picture. The camera has a USB port, Video out NTSC/PAL, Memory card slots and a slot in its base for the Camera Dock. All the ports/slots are protected by there very neat covers. The USB and Video cables are supplied. Buttons on the back of the camera are used to select - Flash on/off/fill/red-eye. Kodak Easy Share C613 camera and G610 printer dock

...I was very impressed when my hubby bought me the G610 easy share printer dock along with the easy share C613 camera for xmas this year. He has no idea about technology and does not normally surprise me with anything like this! I used the camera straight away, fortunately he had the foresight to buy a memory card as this was the only thing not included in the package and the camera memory alone only holds about 6 pictures. It was very simple to use, press the on button, turn the dial to auto, point and shoot. The viewfinder is a decent size and it is easy to view pictures taken and delete the ones you dont want. The printer dock I tried later and again it could not be any easier. The instruction book is thick but only the first 18 pages are in English. Pictures show exactly what to do and I printed my first picture within minutes...

...I felt that I needed the Easyshare Camera Dock II to go with the purchase of my new Kodak DX4530 digital camera basically because the battery supplied with the camera was non-rechargeable. Once it's dead, it's dead and you need to go out and buy a new one. However, the camera dock is supplied with an Ni-MH rechargeable battery. The dock is attached to the mains and to your PC via the USB cable that came with the camera, and the idea is that you simply plug the camera directly into the dock and it automatically downloads your pictures onto your computer and recharges your battery. This seemed like a pretty good idea and not too expensive at £45.00.
