...Cameron Highlands is a highland region located east of Ipoh state. It is 1500m above sea level and has a cool climate, temperatures not rising above 25 degrees and not falling below 12 degrees year-round. I went to Cameron Highlands with my parents on Monday, the 8th. We stayed at Hotel Equatorial, which is one of the best hotels in Cameron. We visited many key attractions, including the strawberry farm, rose gardens, vegetable farms, tea plantations, bee farms, cactus farms and many more.
At the entrance of Equatorial Hotel, to your left, you will go down to Kea Farm, where many stalls lie in. This farm is by far, the most crowded and popular among locals and tourists. However, the traffic there is very messy and you have to be very careful. In Kea Farm, I would recommend a stall selling deep-fried oyster mushrooms, sweet potatoes...
...Fathers Guest house has the perfect location on a small hill overlooking the tiny town of Tanah Rata in the Cameron highlands. Situated outside the town, but only a 3 minute walk into it, it has fantastic views and is tranquil but still has access to any activities the town has to offer.
If you call the owners in advance letting them known when you will arrive then they will collect you from the town and save the walk up the hill with heavy bags. They also tend to be one of the touts who wander the bus drop off area and so if you arrive by bus then there is almost always someone there who you can ask to get a lift up the hill.
Driving up towards the guesthouse the first thing that is obvious is that this is a beautiful area. The views from the top go right across the town and amongst the rolling hills of the area. The Cameron highlands...
Advantages: Hill resort. Relatively inexpensive Disadvantages: Isolated. Commercialised.Soil erosion.
...The Cameron Highlands are Malaysia's best known hill resort and essentially there are three main areas, Brinchang,Tanah Rata and Ringlet. Nestling around 1500 metres above sea level the place is named after William Cameron,a Scottish born government surveyor who discovered it in 1885 and desribed it "... a fine plateau with gentle slopes, shut in by lofty mountains.."
What are the main attractions ? There are flower nurseries ,growing the likes of roses, carnations, dahlias, geraniums, fuschias, gladioli, and chrysanthemums,. You can also visit, vegetable and fruit markets, strawberry farms, several tea plantations,a 18 hole golf course, jungle paths,. a Butterfly farm and a aboriginal (orang Asli) settlement. Jungle trekking, fishing and golf are popular pastimes. There is a wide choice of accommodations ranging from de luxe resort hotels to...
Advantages: Full flavoured and reasonably priced. Disadvantages: No longer available in cans.
...Camerons Strongarm is brewed at the Lion Brewery in Hartlepool, County Durham and the company has been there for over a hundred years although their origins date back to the 16th century. In 1992 the brewery was taken over by Wolverhampton & Dudley however recently there has been speculation about a change of ownership.
Camerons Strongarm is widely available, on draught, throughout the North East of England though sadly no longer available in cans. The cannery ceased production towards the end of the 1990's and this is a great shame because the beer lost little in the canning process.
Camerons Strongarm is 4.0% proof and is referred to as Ruby Red bitter, this name appearing on the pumps in the pubs in which it is sold. Priced at about £1.70 it is not expensive in comparison to other beers on the market. Strongarm has a unique...

Review of Camerons Strongarm
Advantages: Compelling read, honest account Disadvantages: Too short, lacks an 'end'
...I'm unsure of how I first came across Rhona Cameron but either way, when I saw her book on play.com I felt I needed to buy it. I have a thing for learning more about 'out' comedians and seeing as comedians are usually very honest and open about themselves on the stage I figured the same would occur during an autobiography. This can deffinitely be said for 1979.
Rhona retells her childhood growing up in Scotland with her parents, focussing mostly on her young teenage years in 1979. This was the year a lot happened for her; her father died and she came to realise her sexuality. Her accounts are honest and compelling to read, even when she tells of her tales involving herself and young hot blooded males. When writing the book she went back to where she grew up and met with some of the said males to see what they remembered of their...
...I like to have my hair highlighted and although I love the results over time the chemicals used have weakened my hair. This results in my hair looking lifeless and dry. My trusted hairdresser recommended I try Kerastase resistance ciment anti-usure conditioner. I am already a fan of Kerastase hair products as I my salon use them and I have always been very pleased with the results.
Kerastase products.

Kerastase was first developed in 1964 by L'Oreal Paris. It is now available worldwide. There is an extensive range that includes shampoos, conditioners, and other special hair treatments. There is a product for all hair types including a range of treatments for hair problems.
Kerastase has been favourably reviewed in magazines such as Vogue. Several famous women such as Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston are...
Advantages: honest and thought provoking Disadvantages: doesn't "finish" the story
...I pick this book up in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago and it looked like the genre of book that would interest me.
I first came across Rhona Cameron when she was in "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" and I enjoyed her sense of humour in the show but would not desrcibe myself as a big fan yet reading this book has made me into more of a fan.
The synopsis of the book is that Rhona describes her journey from childhood to adulthood over the course of one year (1979) The language she uses creates a vivid picture and certainly reminded me of some points in my childhood I had forgotten.
Rhona grew up in a small Scottish town struggling to cope with her sexuality, in addition to the pressure of adolesence, the fact that she was adopted and the poor health of her father.
I was initally shocked at how honest Rhona is in this...
Advantages: Tasty, cheaper than some other bitters. A good standard "session bitter"! Disadvantages: Not available everywhere.
...We are back in Whitby now for my next beer review. This one is about a rather nice beer we found in one or two pubs around where we were staying. It had been recommended to us by the two friends we were travelling with ~ they go to Whitby quite often because of family connections. They said that if we saw it for sale, we really HAD to try some. We saw some, so we tried it?the beer in question is Strongarm Bitter!
Strongarm is brewed by Camerons Brewery, which is part of the Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries Group. Camerons began brewing in Hartlepool way back in 1872 and had many years of bad luck ~ passing from owner to owner and falling into disrepair. This situation began to improve when Wolverhampton and Dudley bought the brewery, its pubs and their brand names in 1992.
Since the re-launch onto the Beer drinking market...
Advantages: Some beautiful craft work in a historic spot Disadvantages: Can be expensive for some things
...***Background***
Cameron is a small place in Arizona, situated on Route 89 in a southern direction from Page and is just a couple of miles north of the turn off for Route 64, which takes you along towards the East Rim Drive and the South Rim of the Canyon. I wasn't sure whether to include this in my now long list of reviews of our experiences in the States but I thought that some of you out there might find it quite interesting to learn a little bit about the history of the Navajo people and some of the crafts that are on display to purchase.
Right on the edge of the Little Colorado River it is a small oasis in an otherwise desolate and barren landscape. There is very little in the way of greenery down the east rim of the canyon and the red rock stretches out for miles.

Review of Cameron, Arizona
Advantages: Easy drinking Disadvantages: Not very interesting
...When we were down in North Yorks recently, I had a fine old time sampling some of the local brews.I brought home a few bottles of various different beers, but I managed to squeeze the odd sojourn to the pub in as well and partake of some wonderful ales.
One of these beers was not exactly local in the Yorkshire sense, but it hailed from a town which is close enough to make no difference.
CAMERONS have been brewing beer at The Lion Brewery in Hartlepool since 1865. In 2002, however, the brewery was bought by Castle Eden Brewery and a new company formed.
They produce cask, keg and bottled ales and lagers, some of which are: Nimmos XXXX, Castle Eden Ale and the seasonal Knights range. There most famous ale though, is STRONGARM. It's brewed with challenge, fuggles, target and goldings hops, and with roasted crystal malt.
