...I think that Malgrat De Mar is an awesome place, I really missed out last year not going. Me and my family used to go for a month or so in the six weeks holiday and we'd meet up with my aunty who lives in Barcelona and her friends and some of the family would come over too, got a little hectic though as there were 14 people top in one flat, only 3 bedrooms lol. Malgrat is perfectly situated, and its not a far to get to eh train station. From the train station you can travel to the many more places along the coast due to it being a coastal railway. These places include places like Llorett de mar, Blanes, Canet de mar, Pineda, Calella, San Pol de mar, Arenys de mar and Tossa de mar. The beach is good to, its well kept and the sea is almost always nice apart from when the waves come but if you enjoy riding the waves in a blow up...

Tossa de Mar.. Beautiful Area, Cat Litter Beach!

Advantages: Picturesque, Hot!
Disadvantages: Quiet!

...I got back from a week in Tossa De Mar on Saturday night, it was my first visit to the area so I wasn?t altogether sure of what it would be like there, or what to expect from the holiday. The night we arrived (at about 2am) we found a bar to have a drink in, unfortunately it wasn?t serving food (just ice cream) which was a pain as we were all starving, and couldn?t seem to find anywhere to buy some food. So my first piece of advice is to make sure you have enough to eat before arriving if you?re arriving at a silly time at night. My first impressions of the resort were that it was picturesque but seemed very quiet and as the holiday went on, I discovered that this was correct. As a 26 year old, I?ve been more used to going out and getting rather tipsy (ok, I mean drunk but I didn?t want to let my Ciao halo slip too far down...

De Palmas Mars Mellow

Advantages: Great cast, De Palma's creative camerawork, and the overall sense of considered quality
Disadvantages: First half of the film is a bit dull in places, possibly too laid-back for modern-day audiences

Camp De Mar and The Hotel Villa Real

Advantages: Inexpensive to get to from UK, fab scenery, great food and lots of sunshine!
Disadvantages: Crowded beach and limited amenities in resort

...mainly Brtish and seemed to consist of families and couples like ourselves. There was never a bun fight for the sun loungers beside the pool and there was always plenty of room for everyone. Infact compared to the larger hotels at the resort ours certainly had the upper hand in that respect. The accomodation itself was very comfortable and exceptionally clean, if basic: each double room had twin beds and its own balcony. We were booked in on a bed and breakfast rate and I have to stay I've never been quite so spoilt for choice at breakfast times, there were: rolls, cold meats, cheese, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, melon, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, biscuits and much more .The breakfast was continental but there was something to suit even the most picky of eaters. Lloret de mar

Advantages: Beautiful place, appeals to all ages

...Our family visited the resort of Lloret de mar in the Costa Brava a few years ago now and I would totally recomend it to anyone. We visited in the month of May as we like it a little cooler, a little quieter but also still with a variety of things to do. During this month the average temperature is around 70 degrees C but whilst we were there it was a little hotter than this. Getting there: We flew from East Midlands airport to the main airport of Costa Brava which is Gerona. Most airports fly here so it shouldn't be a problem getting here from other parts of the country. The flying time is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes and once landing there the transfere to Lloret de mar takes about 45 minutes. Advantages: Child friendly

...I went to Malgerate De Mar last year the 2nd of June to be precise got a great deal through a London Travel agent called Gateway.I am from near Manchester but this travel agent was on the Teletext,got a fantastic deal just over a grand for myself my wife and my 4 children and insurance.We went to the hotel Ageumarra on an all inclusive basis.We thought this would be a better option with having 4 kids with us.We were expecting the meals to be average but were we in for a suprise,there was a huge selection at least 1 fish dish,1 chicken,1 pork,1 beef dish for main meals with a selection of vegatables and types of potatoes chips,mash or roast.There was evrything from risottos to callamari and paella.The sweets were equally vast in choice from fresh fruit to ice cream to jelly and trifles. Maybe a bit too camp????

Advantages: Great bottle, lasts ages, smells great, gets loads of attention

Advantages: Good story line, realistic characters, excellent show scenes
Disadvantages: High school musical is of a higher standard and more viewable

...I found this a quite an enjoyable film. Its not to be taken too seriously, its along similar lines to Fame, however in an American camp for gifted singers, actors, etc. The singing I found was very good for the most part - my favorite parts being the shows the children performed in the film. The realistic sideline story is very good also showing you a bit of an insight of what it is like to attend one of these summer camps. The love story aspect was quite good from all angles showing the complexity of relationships between heterosexual and gay relationships both from a friendship and dating angle. This is a film I would recommend to others, however I do have to admit it isn't up to the same standard as the recent High School Musical films, but none the less worth a peek.
