Toasties Anyone?!
Advantages: Works really well, lightweight and easy to set up.
Disadvantages: The grill is a disappointment.
...Having planned a short one week camping trip last April in order to try out the new Soul Pad tent we?d been given for Christmas by my extremely generous in-laws, [thank you! thank you! thank you!], my husband and I decided we?d take the opportunity to try out some new gear as well? therefore, having browsed through hundreds of online shops for the best deal, we settled on the Campingaz Camping Chef stove found at Amazon.
With a price tag wavering between £40.00 and £60.00 at most online shops, and coming in even more expensive in high street shops, I was amazed and well chuffed to come across the stove on special at Amazon for only £25.95! With one week left to go until payday, I crossed my fingers hoping that I wouldn?t miss the sale? alas, when payday came along, the stove had gone up to £49.95! I was gutted. Once again browsing...

Camping Party Grill, Ramsey move over
Advantages: Price, quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: may be a little small for extended use.
...My mother bought one of the Campingaz Part Grills from Germany on her visit earlier this year. She spent 5 minutes on the phone trying to tell us what it was and I still didn't understand what she was on about.
I was a little apprehensive as I already have a lot of camping gear including a hob type gas cooker so I wasn't sure how much use it would be for me.
At the time I know she paid 35 EUROS for it but I have seen them over here in Millets outlets for £29.99 for the hob and about £7 for the gas can. There is another model available but its between 60 and 70 quid so it gets a little to expensive without many benefits.
THE HOB AND ASSEMBLY
The instructions were fairly good, providing enough instruction to get you going but not enough to explain everything. I was a little disappointed with these and thought that some more...

Godsend at 3AM
Advantages: No going downstairs at night
Disadvantages: remembering to refreeze ice-pack every day!
...'t take as long to heat, so you have to be careful that it isn't in the warmer for the full cycle otherwise it will be too hot to give to baby.
The bottles must be chilled before putting into the coolbox.
COST.
I bought mine from mothercare and it cost me £29.99.
I have seen it in various catalogues and all at the same price....

With Q bags twill be a Q for food off your barbecue.
Advantages: Easy cooked food on the BBQ
Disadvantages: Can only be used once.
....
3. Meat and vegetarian dishes can be cooked side by side with no risk of cross contamination.
4. Locks in the flavours of your favourite food by keeping its moisture.
5. A healthy way of cooking.
^. Going camping? Make up the bags of food before you go, keep in your coolbox ready to be thrown on the barbecue for effortless cooking with no dishes.
~*~My Experiences~*~
I have only used the QBags for barbecuing so I shall give you my verdict of them for that.
This is a list of foods I have cooked on my barbecue using QBags:
Garlic Mushrooms
I just put button mushrooms in the bag with some chopped garlic, chopped parsley, salt & pepper, a little butter and a drop of olive oil.
These cooked beautifully and there was no messy pan to wash upafterwards.
Asparagus & Parma Ham
This is a lovely way of cooking...

MOOOOOOOOOOO
Advantages: Kids love them, low calorie
Disadvantages: Strawberry - *yuk, yuk*, flavour is too milky
...The sun was blazing in Brum yesterday so we decided on an impromtu day out to Sutton Park, complete with picnic rug and a coolbox brimming with sarnies, crisps, apples and anything else I could get my hands on in the 5 minutes between deciding we were going out and getting in the car. After eating our picnic and having a stroll around the park for a couple of hours we were all feeling hot and bothered and in desperate need of a cool down, cue the ice cream man. :o)
I'm dieting at the moment and remembered reading an op recently about Mini Milk and being surprised how few calories were in one, so I decided to go for one of those rather than a 'packed with fat' Cornetto. Right, I'll have a strawberry one.
oOoOo THE LOOK oOoOo
Blatantly a kiddies product, my Mini Milk came in a pastel pink wrapper showing cartoon cows...

Fantastic load lugger
Advantages: Space, comfortable driving position and fuel economy
Disadvantages: Wide turning circle
...piling on the miles the interior still appears brand new. New 2 level heated seats are an improvement too on the old model.
An added bonus for those with big families or school runs are the two jump seats you can have in the boot - we've used this for 5/6 year olds who have found it really comfortable and remarkably easy to clamber into. For this (or your dog!) there are now air conditioning units directed toward the boot. Also, the charger in the boot is handy if you have an electric coolbox.
Finally, we went for parking distance control on this one and it's worth every penny!...

I FOUND TIME TO STOP AND STARE.
Advantages: A place to stop and stare.
Disadvantages: Beware of lunch hour closing in off season.
...tourist things like postcards and cool drinks, and I would advise visitors to take a packed lunch or even a coolbox, to fully enjoy these gardens that look out to the sea. Taken on pathways through different areas of vegetation, the variety of plants and the astonishment of colour and splendour is well worth the trip and indeed the fee you paid to visit.
What I like about the park is its informity. There are seating areas where you can picnic, and places that suit both the energetic and less energetic traveller, although the paths are not really suited to disabled visitors which is a great shame. The mixture of rocks and plants is like taking a trip into another land, and I am always astounded at the brightness of tropical plants that greets me, especially in the Summer months. Succulants and orchids grow side by side in this micro climate...

Really Rather Wonderful
Advantages: remarkably fast and torquey vw engine, super economical, huge boot space, heated seats, a/c
Disadvantages: false perceptions about brandname
...on charge out of sight, or have an electic coolbox in the back without needing wires trailing from the front power socket.
Secondly its fast: the turbo diesel engine is one of the VW group's latest pump-injector designs, with 176lb/ft of torque from 1800rpm. If, like me, this doesn't mean much to you, here's an example: when I was running it in, I decided to take it out on the motorway once I'd done my first 1000 miles, and see how it went at 3500 rpm (as I'd been keeping it below 3000 rpm before that). As I crept up to 3500rpm the engine was humming beautifully and felt incredibly quiet and refined and I reckoned I must be going somewhere between 70 and 80 mph. When I looked at the speedometer I almost had a heart-attack when I realised I was driving at 110mph! Of course, in reality you don't really need this kind of speed if you don...

Chester Essentials
Advantages: great
Disadvantages: none
...Chester is a great place to go and spend a weekend, and you can even do it on the cheap. If your into your factory outlets then McArthur Glen Designer Outlet is on the doorstep housing hundreds of top name stores. Apart from that everything you need is within walking distance of the city center.
Why not coincide your trip with a visit to the Races, this can be a really cheap afternoon or evening out. Admission starts at £3/£4 in the Course Enclosure (unlike most course enclosures this offers elevated views of the entire track) and has the added bonus of being able to take your own alcohol in with you. So with the coolbox and some sandwiches packed you can join the rest of the locals and have a real good time.
In the evening Chester comes alive from your olde-worlde pubs right through to your trendy wine bars the choice is...
