I 'can, can' live without this one!

Advantages: Good illustrations
Disadvantages: The rhyme doesn't flow very easily

...This book is written by Julia Jarman and tells the story of a young Kangaroo who goes to France. During his stay he watches a sow where all of the dancers a doing the can can. On his return to Australia he misses the dancing so much that he decides to open a café where the can can is danced. He sets about holding auditions and whilst lots of the animals try out for the part, he just can?t seem to find an animal that does it well. The story is written in one big rhyme from start to finish but Ididn?t feel that it flowed as easily as some children?s book that I have read. I found that just as I was getting into a rythum, it would change and I?d be a little lost again however by the time I had read it over a few times, it came naturally and I knew where to go. ...The other day I was in my local PDSA (vets for pets) shop searching for a bargain when I came across the books , which were all stacked neatly on a couple of dust-free shelves. As I quickly skimmed through the titles , my eyes were snatched by a lilac cover with a picture of a girl standing in a snow globe , standing with her back to the reader and crossing her fingers behind her back, surrounded by silver stars in the globe. Can you really think yourself thin?

...Paul McKenna is a hypnotherapist that has become a household name by personally helping celebrities to quit smoking, lose weight etc, releasing self help books and CDs and hosting a hypnosis show, that was aired on a Saturday night, that ridiculed some audience members by hypnotising them and making them do stupid things. I have never been hypnotised and am sceptical about whether it works. Whilst watching the Paul McKenna show years ago I often wondered whether the audience were actually hypnotised or whether they were ?plants?. Can Can It Do As Well

Advantages: Girly, not hugely expensive, nice if you like sweet scents

...'Can Can' by Paris Hilton is the heiress' forth perfume entry. She based it upon a Moulin Rouge theme and the idea of cabaret; the bottle is of great elegance. The fragrance includes: Clementine flower, cassis, nectarine, wild orchid, orange blossom, musk, amber and woods. To me, the initial scent is very sweet but has a woodsy undertone, however, once it settles it is considerably less sweet and you can smell hints of the oriental edge she has tried to add as well as the citrus fruit. After an hour or so, the smell changes once again and I'd say it was more musky to which it stays until you change.
