...to the boredom. Entertainment here was a proper let down! Overall this was a poor holiday especially with the amount of money Thomson charge for coming to this property, Staff are ignorant and rude and also the general Breezes holiday experience was appauling, i will never return to a Breezes hotel again or one of their partners after this experience. As i have said this was my third time to the Dominican republic and it has put me off completely, however i did enjoy my two other holidays here at the Occidental Allegro Punta cana (Carribbean village) Bavaro, and also the Clubhotel Riu Bachata (Puerto Plata/bahia De Maimon). The Town of Es Caná in Ibiza

...Es Caná is a family resort on the East side of the island of Ibiza. It is about 30 minutes drive from the airport which is located in the South of the island near to the Capital of Ibiza Town. Es Caná has a beautiful crescent beach where there are no stones or pebbles, just lovely soft sand. The water is very clear and you can walk out quite far before it becomes too deep. There is a small harbour for fishing boats and a ferry which takes tourists to Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia or even the nearby smaller island of Formentera. Es Caná is very popular and there are a good amount of hotels and apartments to choose from. When I went this summer I stayed at the Hotel Marina Panorama which is opposite the harbour. This hotel is a Thomson Gold Hotel which means that they do not except anyone under the age of 16. There are many restaurants...

Hotel Caribe, Es Cana, Ibiza

Advantages: Lots to do, Clean, Nice food

...a bloke who was lying on a bed of nails and walking on glass one night which my younger children didnt like. The animation team were good during the day and organised football, shooting and darts games amongst other things. The bar prices were reasonable, would be a good AI hotel. Food was very nice, also was hot! although it did have the usual chips and nuggets, it also had fish, meat dishes and plenty of salads and veggies changed nightly. The desserts were gorgeous and the breakfasts were very good too. I have an awkward teenage eater and he found plenty fo things to eat. Only one grumble at breakfast, not enough yogurts!!!! The hotel itself is right in the middle of the resort of Es Cana and there was a fair with rides and trampolines for the kids and the beach was just a short walk away. Es Cana is a lovely place. ...speaking Canadians and German than anything else (and Spanish/South American)but everyone seems very friendly and the kids get along regardless of the language barrier. We went on an excellent trip to the shipwreck just off the coast. Then returned by Catamaran. A really good half day out with plenty of Rum & Coke all day long if you want it! Booked at the kiosk by the hotel pool, quite a bit cheaper than the tour operators' prices. I think it cost about US$45 each. Whether you fancy playing in the waves, relax under a swaying palm or something a little more energetic. Punta Cana has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Wow what a holiday!

...Decided to go back to the island this year, myself and my boyfriend. Stayed in this hotel whihc, my boyfriend had stayed in previously. The room was a double, with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. Ideal for us as we drove there and had a perfect view of the car below. We were half board. Food was fantastic, every component needed for a full english every morning, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice and fruit. Come dinner time there was a wide selection of food, with different food being provided each night. Special evenings consisted of an orietnal night and an italian night. Kids buffet was provided so you dont have to worry about childrens dislikes! The pool was only a walk away, with entertainers for the children during the day, If you like a bit of a drink there is a bar situated by the pool overlooking es cana bay...

...I have visited this hotel 4 times in total and it just gets better and better every time. For starters the big circular pool over looks the jade green sea and the smaller cala nova beach. The hotel has an outdoor snack bar and pool bar which serves food and drink and an entertainment stage for during the peak months. The entertainment is great and geared at all ages - the off peak months you will find the older generations at this hotel and peak months a mixture of all ages! Food is on a half board basis but you can upgrade to an all inclusive wrist band for all of your drinks including alcohol at 7 euros each per day (min 7 days). Food is superb with a massive variety. If you go say hello to Paco and Gonzalez! Ideally located a 10 minute walk from Es Cana centre....

Kipling did not just write poetry about his own period, and reading through a collection of his work is like journeying through time - there are roman legionaries, Vikings, a poem written fron the perspective of Elizabeth the first, poems of brigands, of poor men and gentry. it is a rich portrayal of England's history, even if it isn't always politically correct. If you are already a Kipling fan, it might interest you to know that much of his song like material has in fact been set to music by Peter Bellamy (now sadly deceased.)
