Here’s the op: The place we stayed was an all-inclusive resort, the Moon Palace, so some of this opinion will relate to the specific resort. We flew with My Travel, although our holiday was booked with JML. Tip for the unwary: be prepared to have your suitcases searched at Cancun airport when you arrive, and again when you leave. They don't have a scanner for baggage, other than a handheld one for carry-on luggage, so they search it all by hand instead. Including your dirty laundry on the way...

  Wii Resort For Island Sports

Advantages: Some great mini-games that really show off the MotionPlus accessory
Disadvantages: Expensive to fully kit out two remotes. One or two less compelling mini-games

Moon Palace - all inclusive luxury

Advantages: An away from it all oasis - that will cater for your every need
Disadvantages: Isolated from main resort

...located away from downtown Cancun but only a short taxi ride away - taxi's are permanentely available at the hotel. There are activities arranged, there is entertainment but this information you could get off any website. They also have a good handful of their own restaurants on site, some of these do get busy owing to the number of rooms on the complex and it may be necessary to book. The one thing the hotel lacks is a sense of where it is which comes from being isolated from the main resort - if you want to be able to wander out after dinner and promenade - your boundaries here will be the hotel, but if you are happy to be away from it all - don't worry. After all due to the differences in drinking laws in Mexico from the US, and it's close proximity - young americans can go abit wild....

...I went to Cancun in the middle of October last year for a two-week break with Thompson. The flight took us from Manchester to Cancun and was approx 9 hours. The Mexicans like their paperwork and therefore it took us around an hour or more to get out of the airport and begin the ten-minute journey to the "hotel zone" where our hotel the Royal Solaris awaited us. The hotel is all-inclusive and contained absolutely everything should you wish to stay in the complex for the entirety of the holiday. The staff were talkative, friendly and very helpful, the food was to die for. Our hotel was situated very close to the airport and just in the middle of the large "spit" of land, which separates the lovely light blue ocean the lagoon. Advantages: great fun, great multiplayer capabilities

...Wii sports resort is the next step up from the original wii sports game, only not only is it a step up its a leap forward in the fun factor. With even more sports available its difficult to get bored of this game, and very easy to get addicted to it!!!! There are 12 sports available on the game:- swordplay Wakeboarding Frisbee Archery basketball table tennis golf bowling power cruising canoeing cycling airsports. So far my favourite sports have been the wakeboarding, the frisbee and the table tennis, although i have tried all of the sports on the game and i liked everyone of them.
