Hail, the new Prince of Prints
Review of Canon S 330 Photo by
rayliu
Advantages: Fantastic printer for under £100, Excellent Borderless Photos, Speed, Quiet, Cheap Ink Catridges (Hurrah!)
Disadvantages: Design leaves a lot to be desired especially flimsy output tray, Lack of USB cable (as always), Cleaning Mode churning
....
A small matter of installing the drivers later from the supplied CD-ROM and the S330 is ready to print.
Score: 4/5
Photo Print Quality
This is where the Canon S330 Photo printer really shines. What the printer lacks in style, it makes up for in photo print quality. I am often dubious about a printers claim that it produces realistic photo prints but in the case of the S330 it is totally justifiable. The S330 Photo has a resolution of 2400dpi x 1200 dpi which may not sound like much compared to the likes of Epson and HP with 4880dpi, but dpi isn’t as important as its made out to be. The finished printed result is.
Depending on what type of paper you use to print your photo prints, the S330 produces better results, as the paper gets better. On normal paper (80 gsm copier paper), the quality is not the best you will see...

Review of Canon S 200x by
kenny_khaw
Advantages: Light, Cheap, Perfect for B&W
Disadvantages: External power, Coloured Ink
...has more blue on it than any other colour. This will make any or every single picture look blue and dull. I sorta doubted it that the ink cartridges do not separate the ink properly on the inside.
I think every colour picture it printed sucked, and the best quality does not look good as well.
Although Canon claims this printer to have 2880x720 Dpi, with vivid photo technology, it just wasn’t outstanding enough.
Taking in the paper was no problem at all, and so far there has never been a paper stuck or jams on it. It sucks in quite smoothly, prints it and vomits the paper out on the other side without having to worry at all.
This printer only accepts A4 size papers or smaller. Not recommended for large papers. The reserve section for paper is somewhat amazing. You can load at least 40-45 of 80gsm papers as reserves on the top...

The Canon i560, a hard act to follow.
Review of Canon i 560 by
jerzed
Advantages: Fast, Quiet, Economical, Stunning quality, PictBridge interface
Disadvantages: Cannot print CDs, Flimsy output tray
.../40ml of ink. Even best whisky is cheaper than this.
I spotted the Canon at PC-World about a year ago. At £119 it was dearer than a lot of offerings but faster, more versatile and most importantly the cartrige capacity was twice that of the identically priced replacements for the so-called "cheaper" models. The only consideration after print quality should be capacity, capacity, capacity. I spoke to the Canon Rep who was in the store and compared various specifications. He was very helpful and impulse buying mode took over.
Unlike the Epsons that have the print-head fixed to the carriage/cartridge holder, the Canon's head is eperate and is threfore easily replaced in the event of failure. I like this feature. Ease of service is a big plus, even in the event of a warranty claim. Epsons need to be dismantled to get at the head.

Canon Pixma MP750 - An excellent choice
Review of Canon PIXMA MP750/Multi-function Printer by
Serenfach
Advantages: Fast printing and excellent print quality
Disadvantages: None really
...Having been through a succession of cheap printers in the past, we decided that this time, if we were going to get a printer, we were going to get one that lasted the course. We wanted something with ink that didn't cost the same as the printer to replace, and actually printed more than 2 sheets before running out!
Our other specification was that as we had a digital camera, we were looking for a machine that would be able to print out all our photographs. (We have been storing them up on CD for well over a year and I was getting seriously fed up of relatives asking for photos of the children!!).
With a little advice from Which Extra to point us in the right direction, and a lot of consideration, the Canon MP750 was our final choice. The manufacturers specification is as follows:
Dimensions: (WxDxH) 48.6 cmx 47.2 cm x 31.4 cm...

Canon Digital IXUS 70
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 70 by
dbirse
Advantages: Loads Of features, Small, very good price
Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet
...Canon are very well know for there cameras and always produce very good products. This is no exception and comes with lots of features. It is a 7.1 megapixel digital camera which means the pictures that it takes are very, very good quality. Personally I think that 5 megapixels is enough for taking photos but if you are planning on doing a lot of editing and zooming in on certain parts of photos then maybe 6 or 7 megapixels is more what you are after. This fits into the second category there so if you are looking to take photos to edit and want a well know name for a camera then this could be a good option for you. It has a new technology for taking photos of people and can detect and face on the screen and set itself up so you will get the best possible picture, I will go into more detail for this later on. It also has a red eye...

Advantages: NVIDIA 7800 GTX GPU, brilliant screen, exellent sound for a laptop, looks the part
Disadvantages: Pricey
...You may have seen my review for the TOSHIBA Satellite Pro L10 only a few months back. It was a nice little laptop for £500, but it did not have the kind of power I craved for the latest gaming and multimedia applications. This is what I replaced it with..........the DELL XPS M170 Gaming Laptop.

Advantages: High picture qaulity. lots of features
Disadvantages: Small internal storage
...The Olympus FE-170 to begin is a very good camera.
REVIEW

The cam, as you can see is jam packed full of special features. Some you may find useful and some are just like-- what will I need this for. Luckily the camera comes with a handy booklet explaining in detail all of them :)
Upon opening I was overjoyed with the overall appearance and weight and design of the product. The buttons fit lovely in your hands and are easy to use. Nothing is stiff and nothing is too loose. The buttons are perfect in my opinion.
To take pictures just press the button. That is about the only feature I ever use. The macro shots work well though. They can take fairly close up good quality pictures of thing. Very useful for shooting individual items to put up pictures on the net for example.
The picture quality...

Pixma IP4000 excellent choice
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4000 by
kusarininja
Advantages: Quiet, economical, cd label printing, duplex.
Disadvantages: basic cd label software
...I have owned an IP4000 for about a year now and I have to say it's one of the best printers i have ever owned and I have owned a few in my time.
This is an exceptional machine which has given me excellant results each and everytime. I have found it very economical to run and consumable prices are not too bad either.
Printing quality is very good over a wide range of papers though i do recommend using a good quality 100gsm paper if using duplex a lot. 80gsm will work fine but in my humble opinion a thicker paper is better if you intend to print on both sides.
I have used photo papers from 180gsm to 280gsm and results have been very satisfactory. As this printer can also do borderless printing (like most of the recent canon printers) I would recommend not to use this function on plain 80gsm paper as it can bleed...

A paper trail
Review of Canon HR 101 - plain paper - 50 sheet(s) by
donf18
Advantages: Top quality print
Disadvantages: quite expensive
....
Cannon have produced a paper which pretty much covers all of the major areas you require paper for. This HR-101 paper is a high resolution paper designed specifically to get the best out of you inkjet printer. The HR equates to the terminology of High Resolution which is determined by the capabilities of your printer and of course the paper used. Using this paper with a half decent printer will produce far better results than using the normal quality of paper used for basic purposes.
Removing the paper from it's plastic envelope, (which informs you that this paper has a GSM of 106 ) you can feel the difference in texture to ordinary paper, it feels smoother and less harsh. It almost has a satin feel to it and does not have that slight bumpiness that normal paper seems to have.
Printing in the same mode as you would normally print...
