Picture Perfect? Almost!
Review of Canon IXUS 950 IS by
Plummars
Advantages: Image stabilisation, 8MP
Disadvantages: 4x Zoom is poor quality, No cover included with the camera
...jammed after returning from holiday. A quick phone call to Canon and they sent out packaging to post the camera back to them and within two weeks a fully functioning camera was returned to me. At the time, I was miffed that something had gone wrong so quickly with the camera, but as it was repaired so quickly and I've used it countless times since with no problems - I'm just delighted with it!
For those of you who do understand all the techical stuff, the Canon IXUS 950IS features are;
8.0 Megapixels
4x optical zoom with optical Image Stabilizer
Advanced DIGIC III processor
Face Detection AF/AE/FE
Red-Eye Correction
2.5" PureColor LCD
ISO 1600 and Auto ISO Shift
18 shooting modes
VGA movies and Time Lapse Movie

Conon
Review of Canon IXUS 950 IS by
frusda
Advantages: 4x zoom, image stabilization, grat macro performance,
Disadvantages: a bit bulky
...Like other digitаl cаmeras the Canon 850 IS is done for the person who doesn't wаnt to worry about shutter speeds and аpertures to get good pictures. If аuto mode doesn't do the trick the Programmed аuto accesses options like Whit Balance, EV compensation, and Metering. And if that's to much troble, there's healthy selection of Scene modes to solve every problem.
Eаease of use is reflected in the Canon SD850 IS's cleverly sculpted shell, which seems to hаve an invisible grip, and its simple control layout. That extends to features like Face Detect autofocus and its excellent image stаbilization that helps get shаrp shots at its 16x digital zoom limit and also in low light.
The Canon SD850 IS is an excellent cаmera no matter in what aspect you consider, with superior...

The Photo Enthusiast Printer
Review of Canon i 950 by
gwarwick
Advantages: Exceptional quality, fast, quiet
Disadvantages: Not suitable for everyday printing
...The Canon i950 printer is a colour bubble jet printer which came out on the market in 2003. It has been designed for digital photographers who need quality prints, fast.
The package:
1. The Canon i950 printer
2. Six ink tanks
3. Print head
4. Power cable
5. Installation CD (Win XP, 2000 & Mac OS X)
6. Bubble Jet Solution disk with software applications
7. 4” x 6” Sample pack of paper and warranties
The printer does not come with a USB cable, so it is important to get one at time of purchasing.
~Appearance~
The Canon i950 is a compact and stylish grey and silver looking printer. It measures approximately 16 inches wide which will fit into most workspaces.
~Installation~
Installation took about half an hour. Some may think that this is a long time, however its worth doing a job properly. The printer has a lot of packaging tape...

Impressive Results, Impressive Price
Review of Canon i 905D by
tastymorsel
Advantages: Fast, Sharp, Crisp Printing
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...you want to print and how you print it, one click of the button and you’re away.
Software Compatibility--------
The printer itself comes equipped with a vast array of software including; PhotoStitch, Easy-PhotoPrint, PhotoRecord (PC only), ZoomBrowserEX (PC only), Easy-WebPrint (PC with Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6 only), and ImageBrowser (Mac). I am particularly pleased that Canon have had the foresight to develop compatibility with MAC as it makes it a truly versatile printer option for die hard PC or MAC enthusiasts.
This printer will run under Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Apple MacOS 8.6 - 9.x and Apple MacOS X 10.2.1 or later.
Media Outputs---------
If you’re wondering what exactly the Canon i950D will print onto, have no fear the answer is virtually anything. The list includes; Most Matt or Glossy Photo or High Resolution...

Fits like a stylish glove
Review of Canon DCC-70 Soft case Digital photo camera by
fatboyslim
Advantages: Quality, fit, design/looks
Disadvantages: NONE
...I bought this case for my Canon Ixus 950 IS digital camera. The quality of the case is superb, soft leather with a soft lining so as not to scratch the camera/screen, the flap shuts with a substantial click from the magnetic press stud and does not pop open easily, the case complements the Ixus cameras perfectly, also the case is a lovely snug fit on the camera so as not to add any bulk. Although the case is designed just to take the camera, I can fit in the bottom of the case a small lens cloth, but for anyone who wants addition storage, i.e room for extra battery (but the batteries on the Ixus cameras are way more than adequte for a days shooting so I cannot see many people needing to have an additional battery) or an extra memory card (I cannot understand why some people need to carry an extra memory card, after all why don...

Canon Bubblejet i950 Review
Review of Canon i 950 by
geoffduke
Advantages: Quiet, Fast, easy to install, exemplary print quality, repeatable performance without fuss.
Disadvantages: A little bit pricey but it is worth the investment given the comparisons.
...are given and you get
what you expect especially with a ‘preview before
printing option’ that is independent of the
photo/drawing/what have you package you are using.
Text/Picture mix is good for documents, photos mind-
blowingly fantastic – as good if not better than a
print shop.
Size & Appearance
It is not intended to be a piece of furniture but it looks okay, it matches the footprint of my old Epson 600 and looks better with its stylish metalised top.
Overall
Overall I give the i950 5 Stars.
It is easy to install, easy to use, it is fast,
it is very quiet, the photo print quality is
exemplary and it is very good on large
documents too. The quality on foil paper,
transparencies, plain paper, matt and gloss is
outstanding every time....

Willing to spend £3700 to film a special event?
Review of Canon XL2 camcorder - Mini DV by
benraiben
Advantages: Great for special events
Disadvantages: It is far too pricey.
...itself, is a little too small for serious monitoring, but the colour viewfinder is good, and compensates well.
As the manual states: Having analogue in/outputs, FireWire and USB means there's a good connectivity, plus there's effective analogue-DV-analogue pass-through. I was rather impressed with the stereo audio quality from the onboard microphone, and felt that the controls, sharpness, phase and black levels of the picture are professional features worth having, making it a great piece of equipment for filming at events like weddings, parties and so on.
However, although the Canon may have better audio, colour reproduction is less natural than that from the Sony TRV950 , which also offers better still images (plus a built-in flash), and is also kinder on the bank balance. So, after weighing up which of these final pointers you find...

Canon Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan FB630U by
ShaunK
Advantages: Good software, small, slim
Disadvantages: None
...The first things that you notice about the Canon FB630Ui scanner are the striking blue colour of the lid, and the diminutive size. Set up is pretty straightforward provided you know how to install software - the manual is not as helpful as it should be. The scanner itself takes power via the USB port so there's less leads to trail. Scanning a document is reasonably quick, and the one touch button to launch the relevant software is very useful. Supplied software is pretty comprehensive also. For a simple, inexpensive scanner, the Canon FB630Ui is hard to beat....
