Excellent Printer From Canon

Advantages: Excellent Print Quality, Fast Printing, Reasonable Price

...before you buy' and check out the quality of the printing your new printer is capable of. My Opinion I have been using this printer for about two weeks now and have to say I am very impressed. Firstly it is very nice to look at, it is mainly black and very curvacious with a silver line around the top and the Canon logo on the front in silver also. The operational buttons are placed on the curved front which I like, and I am very please with the overall look, which I think is fairly important as it sits directly in front of me all day. You can also close the front up which makes it look very neat and tidy when not in use. The fact that this printer has two paper sources is also very handy as you can load each one up with up to 150 sheets of paper and selct your paper source from the PC, this is handy if you print on two different...

Canon PIXMA Ip3600 (Printer)

Advantages: Easy to use, affordable and fast
Disadvantages: No disadvantages were noticed

...I use the printer at work for various projects and it is superb. The color quality is excellent. It prints pictures and photos better than any printer I have used. The printing speed is fast and high quality. The printer is easy to use and easy to order supplies for. It is very reliable, I hardly have any paper jams with it and when I do it is very easily fixed. In the past I have used printers where when the toner runs out it is difficult to replace or order the correct replacement but not with this printer. Replacing items is extremely easy. This printer is a great value for the money considering the toners etc are not expensive as with a lot of other photo printers etc. I would recommend this printer to anyone....

Canon MP 460 printer

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: poor photo prints

...to print over 50 different photos. All of them were left looking like everyone had freckels and skin tones were next to useless. Definatly not ones you want to show anyone. Even when put through a cleaning cycle there was no difference. On the bright side, when you printed text using only black ink it was crisp and very clear right down to no 8 font size. Apart from the nice looking screen area it has nothing to excite me. After using the machine for a week I have took it back to the shop, why, because of the banding, lack of colour depth and a sqeek on the slide rail when the cartridges are going across. So not really impressed with this one. I would stay clear and pay more for a good printer. Canon has failed on this one I think....

Review of Canon Pixma MP460

Canon MP620 All in one Printer

Advantages: Excellent Phot prints, excellent scanning, wireless capability
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky, wireless can be tricky to set up

...I bought this printer a few months ago to replace an old hp all in one which had lasted for a long time and sadly the print quality had diminished. With a large amount of options on the market I shopped around and came across the Canon MP620. It seemed to have all the features I was after including scanning, printing, card reader, photocopyer and wireless networking. Please note there are 2 other similar models in the range and as far as I know the MP610 is older and not wireless but slightly cheaper. Alternatively the MP630, which is more expensive is also not wireless but is faster in producing more prints per minute. So far, since using it I can report that the MP620 is an excellent all round printer. Great quality prints and excellent scanning makes it perfect for my needs. The wireless networking took a little time to setup...

Canon MP610 multifunction printer

Advantages: No seperate scanner unit. Seperate ink cartridges.
Disadvantages: you have buy your own bluetooth dongle.

...with it. After that was done I set about connecting the printer. Easy enough, only two leads, one power and one usb. Switched it on and it was recognised straight away. At the front of the unit, on the top, is a little square when lifted shows the colour screen and other function buttons for using it when not having the computer on. To understand all the buttons that are there you need to read the instructions as they are only marked with icons, some of which are new to me. Just under that you have the paper exit opening. Nothing wrong with that. To the right of that flap is a little door that hides the memory card slots. You can reach the slots ok on this model even with chuncky fingers. Beneath that is the USB slot for pluging in a Bluetooth dongle and turning it into a bluetooth unit. Now the fun bit. Lifting the lid and fitting...

Canon or a Brother ?

Advantages: Good print Quality

...This review is for the Canon Pixma IP4700. Setup --------- This printer comes inside a box which is heavily packaged and first off all you get the power cable. The cable is wrapped with this tie back but the problem is that when you unwind the cable you notice how it wants to try and curl back up again so you do need to try and straighten it out as soon as you can. You receive the disc which has the drivers on which you need to install on the computer otherwise you have no way of printing items off without it. There is nothing else inside the box besides the cartridges which are easy to insert and use. The disc is good because it is so simple to install the items onto the computer and this takes about a minute to do. You do not get a connection to the computer though so you do need to purchase one yourself and many websites...

Canon mp220 - good printer but unreliable

Disadvantages: unreliable and not durable

...was decent - the ability to scan and photocopy as well as print was a bonus. The quality of prints was good although not excellent as far as photo quality is concerned. The MP220 was also capable of borderless printing which is an advantage that many other printers do not have. The printer takes one colour cartridge and one black one (the numbers 40 and 41 are the high capacity cartridges). All in all although when the printer worked it was half decent, the reliability and durability issues make it, in my opinion, not a worthwhile purchase....

The Canon i250 printer

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: no catching tray

...For general use, the Canon i250 is not a bad little printer. The quality is of quite a high standard for a cheap printer, added to the fact, the cartidges are cheap too, and easy to insert, and it uses a USB for connecting, meaning it is almost no work to set up, you have every reason to give it a try. I have had this printer a couple of months, and I am very pleased with it. It even looks nice. With a 600 x 600 dpi for B&W and 4800 x 1200 dpi for colour, it is very capable of photo quality, giving sharp, clear pictures. It will print a black and white page in around 5 seconds, about 8-9 pages per minute, so not too shabby at all. I bought this printer, because I wanted simplicity and ease of use. I only needed something that would print my text documents, and that is exactly what I got. But if I should want to print photos anytime...
