Canon DC10 - a reasonable camcorder

Canon 20D

Advantages: Well balanced, good quality images, great dial wheel

The camera is very well built with strong controls and buttons. Surprisingly it is not heavy which helps balance out the camera nicely. The menu functions are very easy to use with simple sections with the help of the dial wheel. The dial wheel is a my favourite feature on this camera. It allows you to move easily through the menu and importantly through your photographs. You can navigate through your captured photographs with the slight turn of the dial wheel and it was this featured that interested me towards this camera. Dyson DC20, First Impressions Fabulous.

Advantages: Highly effective, good range of tools, quiet.
Disadvantages: Can't store on end.

...First impressions are Fabulous. We have 3 cats and anywhere up to 5 children running around the house (wide is a childminder) so there is mess, but we do try to keep the carpets clean. As such we vacuum frequently and I was impressed with the upright Hoover we had - until the wheel fell off. I had always thought of dysons being overpriced and overhyped. I picked this up for £160 along with a free set of Dyson tools, so that took care of the cost problem. However, having now used the DC20 I would pay around £210 for it. Out of the box it felt like a good quality piece of kit. Has a decent volume container for the dirt (unlike many other cleaners of similar dimensions) and most of the tools fit on the cleaner easily and firmly. Advantages: Image Quality, Feel and Ergonomics

...The Canon 20D is the fourth DSLR of the xxD line by Canon, which now contains 6 cameras. In my opinion the 20D is one of the best, for a number of reasons. The 8mp sensor allows prints to be made at A3 size or more, while reducing noise in the images. It also features a Magnesium Alloy body which feels very solid, and adds to the impression that this camera is more expensive than it actually is - it can be found very cheaply now from eBay or professional camera dealers. The 5 frames per second is more than enough for shooting action sequences, from children's school sports days to F1 and airshows. The images the 20D produces are of very high quality, with comparitavely low noise at high ISO presenting perfectly useable shots up to ISO 800.
