Advantages: Small, tough, simple and fast to use
Disadvantages: A little expensive

...and I am still pleased with my purchase. Summary I'm realling enjoying using the Canon and it lives in my pocket most of the time now, before my camera would always be in a jacket pocket or a bag somewhere. It's not the cheapest of compact digital cameras and I have no idea if it is significantly better than others, but it's a real improvement over previous cameras for me and it seems to suit my needs. Of course if you are going to do some serious photography then please read some information from somebody that knows about these things :-) (also posted on dooyoo)...

Canon IXUS 95 IS: The best amateur digital camera on the market

Advantages: Very high quality pictures for both print and web work.
Disadvantages: The bundled software that comes with it has a very Fisherprice feel about it.

...After reading many reviews on Amazon and amateur camera sites about the different types of hobbyist level digital cameras, I decided to buy one of these. The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual. When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS -nice little camera

Advantages: Nice little pocket camera with all the necessary features
Disadvantages: Can't really think of anything

...I am not an expert on digital cameras and this is just the second one I bought. So I cannot really compare the Ixus 80 with other cameras. Nevertheless, I really like it. Looks The Lxus 80 comes in Classic Silver, Caramel, Chocolate and Candy Pink in an aluminium body. It is small enough to fit in a pocket and can be tacken anywhere with no problems. As far as I can say it is very reliable and does brilliant pictures for a normal user. Features It works with 8 megapixels .The 3x zoom works for all the general snapshot moments. It comes with an Image Stabilization (IS moniker) to reduce camera shake. As far as I know this is not standard on all cameras yet, but becomes more normal in newer models. The lens is glass, so it?s definitely an advantage towards cameras with a plastic lens. You can certainly see that in the quality...

...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most products of this type, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product. This case was bought in Curry's for £20 Overall I would recommend this case if you want to keep your camera clean and scratch free....

... Canon DCC-90 Soft Case - my review Canon DCC-90 is the official soft case for the Canon camera models S2, S3 and S5. There isn't really too much to say about this soft case but I'll do my best. I own a Canon digital camera S5 IS and since the size of this camera is quite weird (not as big as Reflex cameras but neither small enough to fit in common camera cases) I found very hard to find a proper case for it. What stopped me from buying the original case by Canon was it's price. As a matter of fact the cost is £14.55 at the lowest (on amazon.co.uk) while generally can be purchased around £17-25 everywhere else. It is a 7.1 megapixel digital camera which means the pictures that it takes are very, very good quality. Personally I think that 5 megapixels is enough for taking photos but if you are planning on doing a lot of editing and zooming in on certain parts of photos then maybe 6 or 7 megapixels is more what you are after.
