...I bought Canon Power Shot A70 from US a year ago. Now I am in UK and one day suddenly found my Canon LCD is just showing some horizontal lines instead of any picture output. I was sooo disappointed with this. Tried a lot to fix it but nothing happened. ...The Canon Digital IXUS 75 is a 7.1 megapixel pocket sized digital camera, as soon as i recieved this camera i was very impressed with the build quality, it feels very solid to handle and looks like an expensive camera. The 3inch LCD screen is superb although there is no viewfinder this is not a problem for most people. Battery life is excellent, i have taken 200-250 shots on a 1hr charge. There is a fully automatic mode, good for people who want to just point and click and it works very well indeed and there are several manual options for more adventurous photographers out there, one very cool feature is the portrait mode which softens skin tones giving you nice portrait snaps, the camera has red eye correction so that you can fix red eye but only in playback mode, still a nice function though, overall i would say that this one... ...The canon range are great and this is one of the best i have used for the price. The big screen is grreat and is really clear so don't worry about the sunlight onit. The auto focus makes it so much better than other camera like it. Also the canon sotware is amazing all you have to do is usb your camera into the computer and the press one button on the back and the computer will look at your camera and only upload pics that havn't been uploaded and it will also put them in folders for you!!! The camera is also really simply to use, there are not lots of buttons all over it, but if you do want to do more creativie work, like everything b+w expect only colour that is also avalible in both stilll and video mode... This camera is amazing for capturing the most important moments in life, its has 10 mega pixels alowing it to take crips pictures of life time moments. Having a flash drive proves very useful as pictures can be transferred to your computer and viewed. Havingbought it at £220it was a bargain and has been working ever since its purchase. ...thought it was going to be. Next time I buy a camera off t'internet I'm going to look up the dimensions and get a ruler and draw them on a bit of paper to help me make my decision. I might even get some card and make a mock up of the camera (am I sad?). Weight Average I suppose but then it is made of stainless steel and not plastic. I have however put the camera in my pocket when wearing shorts before now and felt them pulling down on that side but maybe I'm just being picky and should do my shorts up tighter. Instruction Manual It is good, as its quite pictorial too but mine came in French, not Canons fault but Pixmania's (I would personally advise anyone not to use this online shop). However wherever you purchase your Ixus from you can be safe in the knowledge that an electronic version is available in many languages from the Canon... Read review

...I bought this camera when it was new over 2 years ago now. I is still as reliable as when first bought. Picture quality is excellent and ease of use superb. This is one of the best digital compact cameras i have used an although was over £200 when new can be bought at a fraction of the cost now. Screen on rear is adequate size but the newer version (Ixus 60 and above) have all the same features but a larger screen. If you are looking for a camera where picture quality is of most importance then for the money i feel you cant do much better than this particular camera or one from the same range depending on your budget. Only downside is that the red-eye reduction can occasionally be a bit hit or miss, or maybe its the way i use it... Read review

...I needed a replacement for my fuji digital camera and the IXUS seemed to fit the bill exactly. I was a bit put off by the price at first but obtained one from the Cannon outlet store on ebay at about £100 cheaper than the RRP. Having used the camera for several months now I can say that even at the recommended price it would have been good value. Pictures are first class, with much more detail than my old fuji. There is enough manual control for most although more experienced photographers may be looking for more manual settings. However for a point and shoot camera there are more than enough options. The controls are well set out and the screen is a delight. Many digitals now have done away with a viewfinder, however this was a must have feature for me and is a welcome inclusion. I am especially impressed with the quality of pictures... Read review
