As I in the media market however both the Ixus digital 300 and the "old" Ixus Dígital side by side watched, closed my decision rapid for the benefit of the old model. While the old Ixus has the size of a cigarette packet, the Ixus reminds digital 300 more of a miniature camera. The 300er increased in all three sizes. In addition to gets the by far bigger emphasis. And natural the price: As I which digital Ixus bought for 1000, would cost the digital Ixus 300 1500 DM. That was me too much. In such a way, one is reminded in the case of the circle of friends with the Ixus again and again how practical the small size is nevertheless... Read review

...I did a LOT of research before I bought a digital camera. I narrowed it down to the Cybershot, and the Canon IXUS, and I chose the IXUS because it looker nicer. I'm glad I made the choice. The first thing you notice about the camera is that it would be something you can show off to your friends. The second thing you notice is the size. It's so SMALL. It easily fits into your pocket and is perfect for holidays. I went to Hong Kong with it recently - and I took so many photos with it, merely due to the fact that it was easy to take anywhere - whether it be climbing up Victoria Peak (a mountain in Hong Kong) - or going out clubbing. ...in football are good subjects for this. The IXUS 400 even tries to do an impersonation of a camcorder. You'll get up to 3 minutes of movie action, with sound too, which you can send as a file attachment by email. My son who lives away loved the ones of our pets ! But this does use up the memory so upload them to the computer if you want to keep them. You can of course replay the clip before this stage, as you can the stills, until you get what you want. This is the beauty and economy of digital if this is your first. No more wasted paper photos because you can delete what you don't want or better still review it immediately after taking it. It comes with a 32 MB flash card which is big enough for most short term situations. These memory cards, if you've never come across them before, store the image in digital form. ...I have recently purchased my first digital camera, and after choosing the Canon Ixus 500, I am certainly not disappointed. The camera has a compact, stylish and ergonomic design. It feels solid to hold but is also light enough to carry around easily. Setting up the camera for the first time was reassuring straightforward. The goods were exactly as described and very well packaged. I was up and running within minutes! Picture quality is absolutely excellent. 5MP provides super detailed images. I particularly like the panoramic option which has enabled me to get some superb wide angle shots on holiday. Video mode in 640x480 (upto 3.5 mins) is also pretty impressive so this camera can be used affectively for both photo and video. Less to carry!!!!! Its sleek ultra-compact style makes it not just practical but also good to look at. Friends will admire the camera pointing at them; blessed by its magnificence. Spec:- With 2.1 million pixel CCD it allows images of up to 1600x1200. 2x zoom lens with high resolution allowing wide-angle shots (telephoto) and good zoom. 10 second self-timer. ...Having seen the results of previous Canon digital IXUS models from family members it was time for me to get one. The new 500 model seemed like a good model to choose. Sure enough having used the camera for some time I can see why the Canon's come so highly recommended. The features are there for advanced users, but it is easy to for first time users like myself to use the camera. Having recently gone on holiday and taking loads of photographs of great scenery, as well as a few close up photos of wild life, the camera held up to expectations. The panoramic picture taker is really handy and the program that comes with the camera for stitching the photos together is incredible. ...button away. I must admit, compared to my Sony T10, i prefer the shape of the T10. This camera is more heavier and a bit thicker but nevertheless still a really good camera. The image on here is more clearer than the Sony T10. For those that want a slim camera, i advise to buy the Sony series or the Canon Digital IXUS I Zoom which is so cute! This camera is amazing for capturing the most important moments in life, its has 10 mega pixels alowing it to take crips pictures of life time moments.
