Reviews of canon eos
Nearly the best ever !
Review of Canon - Canon by
MarcusPerkins
Advantages: Huge Spec, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: No built in flash
...I have built up my camera kit over a period of years on a very tight budget whilst trying to raise a family. I brought my EOS600 3 years ago for £180 with a cheap Sigma 35-80 lens. I read lots of reviews in magazines and decided that for the spec, no other budget used AF SLR comes close.
This was the EOS 1 of its day, when Minolta and Canon were battling for supremacy in the new AF market.
5fps motorwind, Predictive AF, Depth mode , Program Mode, Shutter Priority, Aperature Priority, Full Manual, Partial Metering, Multi Segment and Manual Metering are some of the main features this camera has.
I have now upgraded my lenses to a Sigma 100-300 and a Canon 28-80 USM. The results are excellent and the USM lens works as well as on the the very latest EOS cameras.
The only real draw back for me is the lack of a cheap off camera Hot shoe...

Canon EOS 30D
Review of Canon EOS 30D by
Nazuku
Advantages: Multi-featured
Disadvantages: None
...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need.
In the Box
EOS 30D body
Wide strap
Battery Charger
Power Cord
Battery Pack BP-511A
Interface cable
Video cable
Software CD ROM

Best You can get for
Review of Canon EOS 300 by
Sreejan_nair
Advantages: Maximum features, size, service
Disadvantages: canon zoom lens are costly (80-200mm)
...Before purchasing a camera, i had brought a magazine that would help me in getting an immediate insight of all the cameras and its title is "Which camera" and you could get it at any newsagent. Cost us £2.75 its worth buying before u make a purchase. its got all the features and which buy section.
Later i got canon and nikon as the best 2 SLRs. I went to dixon, link, curry and atleast 10-15 shops in totenham court road. But the best i found was at Global camers at Harrow-on the hill.
I purchased Canon eos 300 for £265 and the features of it are great.
It weighs less than other cameras. It has 7 focus points, 5 different modes(potrait, landscape, closeup etc.)Also manual featureslike aperture and focal settings.
For more details go to canon web site and u will get 3 page specifications. This eos 300 has won the best camera award...

Canon EOS 1000FN
Review of Canon - Canon by
sjlambert
Advantages: Suitable for beginners and more creative photographers
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...I bought a Canon EOS 1000FN over 5-years ago when I was a keen photographer. I have used it for landscapes, some portraits and wildlife with fantastic results.
I still have the camera but, as I do very little photography now, cannot justify upgrading it to a newer model in the EOS family.
The good thing about the low end and mid-range EOS models is that they can be used easily by a complete beginnner thanks to the Green Screen and special program (portrait, landscape, macro) settings and, as you become more comfortable and competent, you can switch to the more advanced program or even the manual settings to allow you to become more creative.
The build quality is very good and prices are reasonable with second hand lenses and accessories always available in high street photography outlets.
The auto focus is quick, especially with USM...

Good improvement from Canon SLR
Review of Canon EOS 400D by
ifulhasef
Advantages: 10.1 mega pixels, user friendly control menu, fast camera
Disadvantages: Output JPEG file is not the best one
...I has been waiting for a long time for SLR camera from Canon until Canon EOS 400D was introducing. After series of EOS 350D, I think canon will improve its SLR camera to be a best one. My curios of 400D must be satisfied with to try this camera lot.
Advantages
How I am surprises when I knew this SLR have 10.1 mega pixels, in my feeling this SLR will be a king in SLR. A newbie of digital camera, certainly first time read a specification and of course 10.1 mega pixels will be an attraction to buy it.
Buying SLR canon can be separately with its lens, so there is alternative for byers want to buy body only or with its default lens. It make benefit for a byers who has many lens.
All I know, control of menu from 400D is very .. very ... user-friendly even though for a user that never use Canon camera yet. Composition of 400D control menu...

Canon 400d review by hrk786
Review of Canon EOS 400D by
hrk786
Advantages: 10.1 mega pixels!!
Disadvantages: cant think of any
...FEATURES!!!
Replacing the world's best selling DSLR was always going to be a challenge, but it's certainly not one that canon has taken half-heartedly. Not only does the Canon EOS 400D raise the pixels count of Canon's entry-level DSLR to 10 million pixels, but it also inherits the same nine-point AF system used in the high-end EOS 30D and 5D and, for the first time, features a three-stage dust prevention/reduction system.
There has also been a significant increase in the newcomer's burst depth, allowing up to 27 of the highest quality JPEGs to be recorded in succession.
On top of this is an all inclusive ISO 100-1600 range, Picture Styles mode to produce print-ready JPEGs and RAW capture for those looking to get the best from the camera.
To ensure the camera caters for all user levels the PASM shooting modes (Program, Aperture...

Canon EOS30V DATE
Review of Canon EOS30V DATE by
Bellboy05
Advantages: see below
Disadvantages: see below
...came upon this camera by accident. I was buying a spare camera for my wife who wants to take up photography. I was using a EOS1V. Then, I decide to shift to all manual. I am current using F3HP + FM3A.
On every weekend, I like to go plane spotting. It is difficult not to use auto-focus camera for this purpose. This camera then become my tool! It has logged more miles than my Nikon now. I am seriously wondering, with the good experience of this 300v, should I purhcase the new EOS30V. I forgot to mention, I hate digital camera.
300V has many good advantages. It is light and ergonomic to hold (I have big hand, even without the battery grip, I still told this camera well) The kit lens, though look cheap and ugly, is actually quite good for general photography. Canon did a good job at packaging this 30v and put a rather futuristic look...

The best advanced amatuer SLR on the market
Review of Canon EOS 30 by
emla
Advantages: Full SLR capabilities, but also idiot proof
Disadvantages: Not the EOS 3
...) that is not quite the uncomfortable size and weight of the pro-end SLRs in the Canon range.
The only complaint I'd have is that it's not as fast as the higher end EOS cameras, but that's not much of any argument given that this is aimed at a bit lower in the market. It's certainly a sensible place to start if you're looking to progress your SLR photography but aren't ready to commit your cash to one of the more expensive models. In it's price range, this one is excellent value for money and a great work horse.
For anyone new to the Canon EOS system/SLR photography in general, it's worth pointing out that this is a type of camera takes separate lenses and there are an enourmous range available. Also, it's not worth choosing this over - say - the EOS 300, which is much cheaper and easier to use, if you're just thinking of dipping your toes in the water...

Good Advanced Amateur Camera
Review of Canon EOS 50E QD by
mlheintz
Advantages: Full Photographic Control, Eye-Controlled Focus
Disadvantages: Can't use IR films
...he Canon EOS 50E QD is a retro-style 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) camera. I purchased mine in January 1999 and have had great results.
This camera supports all EOS lenses and has the standard EOS command dial that offers users a choice of shooting modes. For beginners, this camera offers fully automatic, portrait, landscape, macro and sport modes. In these modes, the camera chooses the best combination of aperature and shutter. For more advanced users, the camera offers program, shutter priority, aperature priority and fully manual shooting modes. Additionally, the camera has a depth of field mode which allows users to pick two points in the frame for the area of focus. The camera also offers a quartz-date function for date printing on the photo, but I choose not to use this.
I have had great success with this camera. I bought...

Canon 300D
Review of Canon EOS 300D by
PaulineLees
Advantages: Easy to handle, aquaint yourself with and easy to use. Lenses compatible with higher models.
Disadvantages: I can't fault it!
...This camera is an excellent DSLR for any beginner or amatuer. I bought this when Photography was just a hobby, now on a degree course I still find it exceptional. A little more camera to hold on to compared with the 2 newer models, which I personally prefer.
As previously stated it is compatible with all canon EF lenses, so if you wish to update in the future you can carry your lenses with you!
I personally love my camera and despite being updated twice since my purchase it has held its value wonderfully. Canon offer an endless supply of accessories for their cameras, most reasonably priced for plenty of experimentation and fun. I cannot fault my experience so far with canon.
I do not claim to be a prefessional so please read some of the other reviews. I just offer my personal opinion. Canon was leading in this type of camera when I...
