Canon EOS 350D - He He !!!
Review of Canon EOS 350D by
a4angus
Advantages: Compact, fast, quality images
Disadvantages: Poor screen view in sunlight
...that can be comfortably held be small handed folk (like me).
Eye diaoptric adjustment (allows eye sight defect correction so you can use the camera without your glasses - additional correcting eye cups can be bought if the range of adjustment is not enough for your eye.
Very fast startup and processing.
Compehensive software suite with camera.
Feature rich - boasts many advanced options allowing complete picture control.
Can take standard Canon EOS lenses (note: the focal length is 1.8 times more on a digital compared to a standard film camera, but still eminently useable. This means you 28-80mm behaves like a 50-140mm lens).
High 8 megapixel resolution giving very sharp quality pictures.

Canon EOS IX 7 - APS Comes Of Age
Review of Canon EOS IX 7 by
BNibbles
Advantages: Flexibility of 35mm SLR with APS facilities
Disadvantages: Pricy if you are only interested in the APS aspect. Lenses slightly bulkier than the Nikon and Minolta SLR APS's.
...The Canon IX-7 is one of a fairly rare breed, that is to say, it’s a single-lens reflex (SLR) camera whilst also being an APS camera, with all the usual abilities such as three picture sizes that the film format possesses. For the uninitiated, there’s Classic (your usual 4:3 sized print), HDTV, (a wide-screen print using the whole negative) and Panorama, (which is really a strip from the middle of the HDTV print blown up to the same height as the other two, making it about 10” long)
Minolta and Nikon are also in the same market, and if you are starting from scratch, you may want to check these out as well, for the simple reason that they have a range of dedicated, and, it has to be said, daintier interchangeable lenses. The Canon, however, uses the same EOS fitting lenses as its 35mm counterparts, which makes them...

"Canon EOS400D" a jewel in a compact black box
Review of Canon EOS 400D by
bensalem
Advantages: Compact, .Hidh speed shooting. high resolution images.TVOUT connect...
Disadvantages: still be expansive
...I have got the opportunity to buy a wonderful digital camera from my relative working abroad in FRANCE. The" Canon EOS400D" is a pretty black box, lightweight of about 500grams ,compact and seems to be robust, with an 1.8/55 lens. The E-TTL II window displays you all informations about focal and distances. I was gone picking some landscapes and portrait views, lens and views are clean and it seems that that the EOS cameras had an integrated cleaning system that keeps its lens and micro electronics dustless and spotless automatically on each power on.
An 2.5" LCD screen displays rich and well saturated images that allows you to enjoy and share instantly your picked views.
Let the Camera work by itself with a high speed shootings of about 3 photos / second and continuous 25 to 27 sights in one shoot click.
The EOS400d I bought...

Canon EOS 1DS 11.1 Megapixel Digital SLR
Review of Canon EOS 1Ds by
Orrr83
Advantages: Full Frame sensor, (Practically) Indestructable, Weatherproof, Clean Images
Disadvantages: Expensive, Heavy, Now superceded
...The 1Ds is built to take the worst a professional photographer can throw at it and more, and still keep on going. Physically the camera weighs around 1.5kg without a lens, being made out of magnesium alloy and steel, thats understandable, and like canons other EOS 1 series the camera is heavily waterproofed, speaking to a photographer once who once, accidently of course, dropped his 1Ds into a river, retrieved it immediatly he found his lens damaged, but the camera shrugged it off, no marks or water damage. But what really makes people excited about this camera is it's CMOS sensor, using less power than a CCD, battery life is excellent, around 600-700 images. At just over 11 Megapixels the camera's resolution is among the highest on the market, almost 4 times the resolution of Nikons D1. The physical size of the sensor is the same...

Canon EOS 350D!
Review of Canon EOS 350D by
Flatcat
Advantages: Body, images, Quality, Functions, Price
Disadvantages: Kit Lens
...are in focus and look great! There isn't much more to say on quality other than the saturation is good and the camera is good at deciphering shutter speeds and aperture, so give a good true to life photo.
Overall I would say this camera is suited to amateur photographer and maybe semi pro's who want something nice and portable. Or those on a photography course for A-level and even beginning of a degree course. To conclude this is a great camera, good lens and a large range of accessories can be bough separately to improve its uses.
Another Great Product from Canon

Canon EOS 400D
Review of Canon EOS 400D by
montmorillonite
Advantages: Low cost entry to Digital SLR photography. Compatible with all Canon Ef and Ef-s lenses
Disadvantages: Manual exposure fiddly, Kit lens good for cost, but not high-quality
...Review EOS 400d
The canon 400D is a good camera - for the price it's a great camera. It's relatively compact; lightweight; comes with an adequate lens; has programmed settings for novices - like portrait and landscape modes; but also offers manual control of apertures, shutter speeds, white balance, ISO… so that the more experienced photographers can have fun and be a little more creative. One item to note if you are upgrading from a digital compact is that you have to use the viewfinder. The screen on the back of the camera only shows exposure information, and allows you to view photographs you have already taken. It does not let you view the scene you are about to photograph. In my opinion this is a good thing because it forces you to hold the camera properly - up against your face where it can be held steadily, instead of at arms...

Canon EOS30V DATE
Review of Canon EOS30V DATE by
Bellboy05
Advantages: see below
Disadvantages: see below
...came upon this camera by accident. I was buying a spare camera for my wife who wants to take up photography. I was using a EOS1V. Then, I decide to shift to all manual. I am current using F3HP + FM3A.
On every weekend, I like to go plane spotting. It is difficult not to use auto-focus camera for this purpose. This camera then become my tool! It has logged more miles than my Nikon now. I am seriously wondering, with the good experience of this 300v, should I purhcase the new EOS30V. I forgot to mention, I hate digital camera.
300V has many good advantages. It is light and ergonomic to hold (I have big hand, even without the battery grip, I still told this camera well) The kit lens, though look cheap and ugly, is actually quite good for general photography. Canon did a good job at packaging this 30v and put a rather futuristic look...

A slightly less explosive Canon.
Review of Canon EOS 1000D by
thebigc1690
Advantages: Typically good Canon images.
Disadvantages: Poor flash and feels a bit flimsy.
...Canon along with Nikon have for years been known as the kings of camera`s but with things changing rapidly in the DSLR market Canon had to think fast. All of Canons recent releases have been at the expensive end of the market and they have been rapidly losing ground to the likes of Nikon and the new kids on the block (Sony). The release of the Canon EOS 1000D in June this year (2008)was an attempt to get back in the entry level market and whilst I think it should have the desired effect I am still not convinced they have done enough to tempt people away from the less expensive Sony option.
Many people myself included thought that the new Canon would just be a fresher version of the Canon EOS 400D and the only stand out feature available on this 1000D that the 400 did not offer was a live view, so were Canon trying to pull the wool...

EOS 10D - the Day that Digital Replaced 35mm
Review of Canon EOS 10D by
Ormazd
Advantages: Image quality, handling, speed of operation, flexibility of controls, build quality, extensive system, exceptional long exposures
Disadvantages: No memory card included (that's how far I am reaching on this one...)
...Canon's EOS 10D was released in February 2003 to unanimous praise from the industry and the press - it improved on its predecessor, the immensely popular EOS D60 and reaffirmed Canon's lead in the D-SLR arena in the face of new competition from Nikon's D100 and Fuji's S2 Pro. Even now, 18 months later, the 10D still stands astride the D-SLR market like a colossus.
What makes the 10D such a popular choice? It's tough magnesium alloy body and chunky feel instantly win over the 'proper' camera afficionados - no lightweight plastic here! The 10D feels rugged and weighty even before you put a lens on. In operation, the fact that it is digital is almost invisible. Ignore the screen on the rear and you could be forgiven for thinking that this was another Canon EOS 35mm camera. AF is fast and the AI focus mode that tracks a subject is very...
