Canon Laser Shot LBP 2900

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable and produces high quality prints
Disadvantages: The odd paper jam

...Whilst talking to a friend a few months back, I mentioned I needed to buy a new printer as my old one had ceased working. My friend recommended the Canon Laser Shot LBP 2900 Printer, As that is what he had been using and said it was reasonably cheap to buy and did a good job. So the next day I went onto Amazon, Paid my £54.50 and waited for it to arrive. Upon its arrival, I promptly went about setting it up, Now I was impressed it was small and compact and looked stylish with its monochrome finish. For £54.50 for a reliable laser printer I thought great and thanked my friend for his recommendation. However, There was one minor problem, Now and then the paper gets jammed, This has happened with every printer I have ever used at sometime though, So I don't really see it as a big deal. ZAP! - Canon's LBP 1120

Advantages: Prints whole sheets in just seconds. Looks very modern and sleek. Little noise.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.

Canon in general have always served me well, being one of the only firms to charge a fair price for ink cartridges, my first printer, an Epson I found I had to shell out 20 quid just for a cartridge! Good Hardware, Bad Software

...If you take a look at Canon LBP2900 you will see that this printer mimic HP LaserJet 1020 and HP LaserJet 1022, not only in the design but it take the SAME cartridge (Q2612A or 12A for short)....The seller tell me that and I saw that with my eyes The top cover should have a sensor to tell you that the cover is closed so if you forget to open it the papers will not accumulate under the cover.. And if we compare it to HP LaserJet 1022 you will find that LBP2900 have no tray cover which prevent the papers from dusts (Canon LBP3000 have a tray cover). LBP2900 produce good quality prints but this printer is an example for the product that you hate because of its software... Canon Fire Off A Good Printer

Review of Canon LBP 800

Great for the money and size.

Advantages: Colour, compact compared to other laser and fits on desktop, laser.
Disadvantages: Still quite large compared to an ink jet.

Laser printers are better than inkjets because they give a crisp and professional look to word documents and spreadsheets. The Laser Printer that speaks

Advantages: easy to set up and run. Uses PC's own memory
Disadvantages: toner cartridges may be tricky to find

Lay Out More For Cheaper Prints

Advantages: Low running cost per page of print - not fussy about paper, and toner approx. £35 p.a.
Disadvantages: Slightly dearer to buy and only monochrome.

Canon Powershot - Above Average

Advantages: Nice for a small camera, Good settings, Nice overall camera
Disadvantages: Noise @ Low light, Batterys recognised as empty

..., the powershot is very easy to use, its nice to hold and your hand is positioned well for all types of use, the screen is clear and a non digital viewfinder makes it very nice to use although this is not as accurate as you would expect, it has a button on the front which seems a bit out of place but im pretty sure its supposed to evaluate white balance, This camera hasn't been advertised as a very durable camera or a waterproof one, but a few light splashes of rain didn't do it any harm and it has held together after a few bumps, it does show paint scratches though, its case is a hard plastic and is quite seamless, Canon have done a good job at designing this camera, it boasts as a camera that is compact enough for a pocket and also has the usability of a bridge camera, the small bump on the left gives you great grip and gives space for two AA...

A slightly less explosive Canon.

Advantages: Typically good Canon images.
Disadvantages: Poor flash and feels a bit flimsy.

...Canon along with Nikon have for years been known as the kings of camera`s but with things changing rapidly in the DSLR market Canon had to think fast. All of Canons recent releases have been at the expensive end of the market and they have been rapidly losing ground to the likes of Nikon and the new kids on the block (Sony). The release of the Canon EOS 1000D in June this year (2008)was an attempt to get back in the entry level market and whilst I think it should have the desired effect I am still not convinced they have done enough to tempt people away from the less expensive Sony option.
