Canon Laser Shot LBP 2900

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable and produces high quality prints
Disadvantages: The odd paper jam

...Whilst talking to a friend a few months back, I mentioned I needed to buy a new printer as my old one had ceased working. My friend recommended the Canon Laser Shot LBP 2900 Printer, As that is what he had been using and said it was reasonably cheap to buy and did a good job. So the next day I went onto Amazon, Paid my £54.50 and waited for it to arrive. Upon its arrival, I promptly went about setting it up, Now I was impressed it was small and compact and looked stylish with its monochrome finish. For £54.50 for a reliable laser printer I thought great and thanked my friend for his recommendation. However, There was one minor problem, Now and then the paper gets jammed, This has happened with every printer I have ever used at sometime though, So I don't really see it as a big deal. ZAP! - Canon's LBP 1120

Advantages: Prints whole sheets in just seconds. Looks very modern and sleek. Little noise.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.

Having only bought two printers prior to getting the Canon LBP 1120 I wasn't entirely sure where to start, to combat my uncertainty I decided to shop around, seeking the finest price possible. Canon in general have always served me well, being one of the only firms to charge a fair price for ink cartridges, my first printer, an Epson I found I had to shell out 20 quid just for a cartridge! Great for the money and size.

Advantages: Colour, compact compared to other laser and fits on desktop, laser.
Disadvantages: Still quite large compared to an ink jet.

...I bought one of these babies because I hate inkjets and love laser. This was the only one I could really afford which was small enough to fit on my desktop and had colour. Laser printers are better than inkjets because they give a crisp and professional look to word documents and spreadsheets. Even with a fine quality inject it still looks home-made unless it is on hideously expensive paper. Therefore the LBP 5000 it makes my assignments look great. There is always a slight shininess to the text and pictures which sends shivers down my spine with excitement. It is generally understood that lasers are far better value for money on a long-term basis. When you replace cartridges in an injet they can cost £15 plus for each colour. Canon Fire Off A Good Printer

Advantages: Quiet, easy to use, reliable

'Cause you Canon....

Advantages: Good brand, good quality photo prints at speed, good value ink.
Disadvantages: Was pricey but is coming down now.

...and an Overview To conclude, I believe that Canon's claim that this is an "advanced A3+ printer for high-speed, high-quality document, photo & graphic output" is a wholly true reflection of the product itself and although pricey (now £329.00 from Canon direct but about £225 on eBay) is definately worth the money for a high standard of photo lab quality prints with, in my experience, good natural colours in photos and clear text for more everyday print purposes. Interestingly, the costs for standard A4 prints are 2.2p for black/white and 5.9p for colour which compares very favourably to printers in a similar price bracket, most of which do not have the larger sized option of the IX5000....

The Hypoallergenic toner has been specially formulated for sensitive skin and contains aloe vera to soothe the skin. It will apparently sweep away the last traces of make up so that skin is clean and ready for moisturising. It is frangrance and lanolin free and dermatologically tested so i am ready for something very gentle as promised. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING... Lay Out More For Cheaper Prints

Advantages: Low running cost per page of print - not fussy about paper, and toner approx. £35 p.a.
Disadvantages: Slightly dearer to buy and only monochrome.
