Advantages: Small, Easy to move around!
Disadvantages: Slow printer if you print a lot!

...The Canon Pixma was the first printer I ever bought. I used it to print my school projects and mainly my report papers. It works great but not as fast as laser printers. Sometimes after you're done printing you have to wait a couple of seconds for the ink to dry out. The printer uses a standard canon ink cartridge, it's very small so you have to constantly change it every so often if you are always using it. I highly recommend a Laser printer if you need to print many documents and a laser printer is well suited in a fast-paced, working environment. But if you're just a student like I am you can use the Pixma IP1500, It does the job well. ALSO the Canon Pixma is also good for printing coloured photos, and envelopes, ETC. Advantages: fantastic quality photos

...After buying a Sony digital camera 6 months ago, it soon became apparent that my old and dated Epson printer was not up to the job. The search began for a quality printer capable of producing A4 photo's, but also being able to act as an everyday printer for letters, documents etc. After a good look round and using all the usual research methods, it came down to a choice between an Epson and a Canon. I chose the Canon mainly because I had a few problems with blocked jets on my old Epson printer and Canon equipment always strikes me as being high quality product. Advantages: Separate and removable print head

...I bought mine from PC World and within 25 mins of unpacking it was set up and running, Windows ME and using the parallel connection. No problems at all everything went according to the manual and worked first time. Prior to buying this I used an Epson color stylus 760, it finally clogged up completely and was suffering badly from cable slap and I'd had to replace the on/off switch with one from my junk box. Comparing prints from the same image the Canon is a little better but not that much, in a portrait the skin tones are smoother and individual hairs are sharper. In the past I've compared prints from my Epson to 5 and 6 colour "photo" printers and was amazed to see very little difference. ...I deliberated long and hard over which printer to buy as the cost of the replacement cartridges is such a major factor. i didn't need a fancy printer, just one that could print out family snapshots and cope with the demands of two young children wanting to print out every piece of art work they do!! The Canon Pixma IP2000 meets all our needs and gives great quality too. It comes with a sample pack of photo paper which I used and the picture quality was second to none. The printer is extremely quiet so does not wake the whole house if you feel the need to print in the middle of the night!! A useful feature of the printer is that the front feed tray folds up and encloses the printer, there by protecting the inside from dust, and it is compact and very smart looking! ...has to be pulled around a roller, heavier stock is not appropriate for that. Each tray can accepts approximately 150 sheets of paper so when the same stock is loaded into both trays, You can also select continuous autofeed to switch from one tray to the other automatically for print jobs of up to 300 pages, isn't it cool? Canon PIXMA iP6600D does print on to DVD/CD (Only when purchase in Europe). I have heard that the DVD/CD print option is not in the printer models that are sold in U.S Now is the Ink! Pixma IP6600D use 6 ink cartridges compare to other printer which usually only 4. For this printer Canon added high intensity photo cyan and photo magenta to the conventional four inks, to increase the accuracy of color values. ...For me Canon always means top class products (even though I've just bought an Olympus camera) and I am not disappointed with this printer. Its high speed quality printing - 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, 20ppm black and 14ppm colour - is excellent and 4" x 6" borderless prints in 50 seconds is very good too. It also has FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering)technology. Cartridges (separate black and colour) are cheap compared to some and are easily changed. The software that comes with the printer is good with programs for easy web printing (Windows) photo prints ( Windows and Macintosh) and also PhotoRecord (Windows) where you can create fun photo albums with a click of the mouse The printer operates very quietly which is a bonus and there is also a front paper loader. ...Canon Pixma ip4000 I have recently purchased the new canon Pixma ip4000, following the demise of my Epson cx3200. I decided not to buy another Epson , because all the ones I have had have been either, noisy, unreliable and prone to paper jams. The quality of the Epson print, seems unrivalled in the home printer market, however I was no longer prepared to put up with the constant paper jamming and unreliability. I was immediately struck by the canon Pixma ip4000, when I saw it had a horizontal paper feed cassette, which raised my spirits and I thought , this is the answer to all those paper jam nightmares I was having with the old Epson. The Pixma ip4000 also has a conventional vertical paper feed which means you can have photo paper in one and plain paper in the other, switching between the two as you need them. I like this a lot...
