...This review is for the Canon Pixma IP4700. Setup --------- This printer comes inside a box which is heavily packaged and first off all you get the power cable. The cable is wrapped with this tie back but the problem is that when you unwind the cable you notice how it wants to try and curl back up again so you do need to try and straighten it out as soon as you can. You receive the disc which has the drivers on which you need to install on the computer otherwise you have no way of printing items off without it. There is nothing else inside the box besides the cartridges which are easy to insert and use. The disc is good because it is so simple to install the items onto the computer and this takes about a minute to do. You do not get a connection to the computer though so you do need to purchase one yourself and many websites...

Canon Pixma MP750 - An excellent choice

Advantages: Fast printing and excellent print quality

...Having been through a succession of cheap printers in the past, we decided that this time, if we were going to get a printer, we were going to get one that lasted the course. We wanted something with ink that didn't cost the same as the printer to replace, and actually printed more than 2 sheets before running out! Canon Pixma MP600

Advantages: High quality printing, quiet and looks good
Disadvantages: Expensive ink, as always

...ugly in an industrial way but that was a popular style a few years back. It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable. At a snifter under £100 the Canon Pixma MP600 packs a lot of quality into an attractively designed package. Ignoring any pointless fax functionality it concentrates...

Canon PIXMA iP3600 - Fabulous printer. Can't get better.

Advantages: Easy to use. Clear print. Asthetically pleasing.
Disadvantages: Takes a little while to 'warm up' when turning it on.

...This product has turned out to be the best printer I have owned! It has a very 'user friendly' approach. Making it easy to get the end result you wanted. It is an excellent price for a very good product. The images are always clear and the print speed is good. It does take a little while to turn on, but once it has it has very little disadvantages. It has a nice overall look to it, and isn't an overly big model. I have printed using a variety of papers, ( from high quality glossy photo paper, to plain white paper) and have always been more than pleased with the result The printer also is very frugal with the usage of ink. A little goes a long way. I would highly recommend the Canon PIXMA....

  Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one

Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability
Disadvantages: could be litle smaller

.... Just think for a second and ask yourself a question. How would it be to have a scanner, printer and photocopy machine in one device? I had like this about year ago and it is not comfortable. You occupy only USB ports, have more cables behind and less room for anything on a desk. Cannon came across with Pixma mp460. This quite medium sizes device is brilliant and quality breath taking. Printed a number of pictures with it on an Ilford glossy photo paper and could not believe that they look so great. Printed previously some pictures from Snappy Snaps and there was absolutely no difference. First what I can truly tell is that all information's I give you come from my experience only. The Canon PIXMA IP1800 and the end of the world

Advantages: Cheap and replaceable. Attractive and efficient technology.
Disadvantages: Ink costs more than the machine. Potential ecological mayhem.

...My new Canon PIXMA IP1800 replaces my Canon PIXMA IP1600 so the planet may be doomed and It could be my fault. My Canon PIXMA IP1600 had nothing wrong with it. It wasn't broken. The pictures spilled out on glossy paper at A4 ready for framing. The text was crisp and black. I'd had it for a year or so. It was cheap yet efficient and as good as any printer I'd ever owned. It had no tray to catch paper coming out but otherwise was printing perfectly and I've been delighted with it. This is partly why I bought the Canon PIXMA IP1800 which is also excellent. But why bother? They're almost the same machine! The ink is running out on my old printer and, bizarrely, new cartridges would cost more than a brand new one. My wife was furious. She looked at the packets of ink cartridges with a shop assistant because she didn't believe me...

Advantages: great looking printouts, very attractive design, quick prints, low prices
Disadvantages: does not include a paper output tray

The Canon iP2500 does not include a paper output tray, some users may find this a nuisance as they will need to catch their prints as the printjob finishes to prevent them falling onto the floor/desk. Connects to the PC via USB interface, is compatible with Windows/Mac. This printer comes with a Creative CD and a pack of matte paper (quite a few sheets in the pack). For the price I have seen this for, it's definitely worth buying....
