Canon Powershot SX200 IS
Advantages: Lots of zoom, lots of pixels, sturdy
Disadvantages: No internal memory, flash pops up whether you want it to or not
...I bought this camera recently as I purchased a Canon EOS1000D DSLR and I wanted a compact digital with a large zoom for the times when I didn't feel like lugging the DSLR and all it's accessories around with me.
I'd looked around at other models, and I know that there are many other cameras that offer a much higher zoom, but I finally settled on this one for a number of reasons.
a) 12 million pixels. This is more than I'll probably ever need as it's very rare that I print anything above 8x10 but it was an upgrade on my previous digital compact.
b) 12x optical zoom. This is more than adequate for general photography, any more and I think you do probably need a tripod.
c) NB-5L Li-Ion Battery. This is just a personal preference but I prefer the rechargeable Li-Ion batteries. It's fairly cheap to buy a couple of spares and I...

Canon Powershot - Above Average
Advantages: Nice for a small camera, Good settings, Nice overall camera
Disadvantages: Noise @ Low light, Batterys recognised as empty
...,
the powershot is very easy to use, its nice to hold and your hand is positioned well for all types of use, the screen is clear and a non digital viewfinder makes it very nice to use although this is not as accurate as you would expect, it has a button on the front which seems a bit out of place but im pretty sure its supposed to evaluate white balance,
This camera hasn't been advertised as a very durable camera or a waterproof one, but a few light splashes of rain didn't do it any harm and it has held together after a few bumps, it does show paint scratches though, its case is a hard plastic and is quite seamless,
Canon have done a good job at designing this camera, it boasts as a camera that is compact enough for a pocket and also has the usability of a bridge camera, the small bump on the left gives you great grip and gives space for two AA...

Canon Ixus 100 IS - Small and oh so stylish
Advantages: Small, Stylish, Auto modes work well, Image Stabilization
Disadvantages: HD Video capability is disappointing
...The Canon Ixus 100 IS is the successor to the Ixus 85 IS model, now with 12.1 megapixels instead of the old 10. The 2.5" screen is retained, as is the optical viewfinder and the 3x zoom capability, but the Ixus 100 IS is packed with new features.
Video can now be recorded in HD (720p format) and an HDMI port has been added for viewing your pics on the latest HD televisions. The 100 IS also gets a new DIGIC 4 processor, Autofocus Tracking and Auto Scene Detection!
The dimensions have changed in proportion, being a whole millimetre wider than its predecessor, another millimetre taller, but 2mm slimmer with an incredible depth of only 18.4mm. The weight stays about the same at less than 130g and, being similar in size to an iPod, it is very easy to carry around in your shirt pocket/handbag. Indeed, the similarity with the iPod doesn...

Yes, I Love Canon Powershot A480 !
Advantages: small, light, great pictures, easy to use, attractive, super cheap
Disadvantages: low battery power, lens-error
...I have always been a fan of Canon digital cameras.
Before i use Canon for personal digital camera, i had used Sony for several years until my friend introduced me to Canon IXUS which takes amazing pictures. And since that, i have never gone back to Sony.
As we all know Canon digital cameras capture great pictures and very easy to use.
When I first found Canon Powershot A480 [the red one] on the internet, i found it very cheap among the other digital cameras. I quickly read the features, of course, im not a professional photographer myself, so I just read that it basic features such as:
1. it is a 10.0-megapixel digital camera
2. it has 3.3x optical zoom and capable to print large size images beautifully
3. DIGIC III Image processor [certifies you take sharp images]
4.15 shooting modes with 12 special scene modes
5.High-quality 2.5-inch...

Powershot from a canon.
Advantages: Affordable, excellent functions and easy to use.
Disadvantages: I will get back to you!
...As many of you will know from reading some of my earlier reviews, I am a very keen amateur photographer. Recently during a very steep learning curve I was given the opportunity to use the Canon Powershot S5 IS for a week and I was so impressed with it I bought one days later.
Although I am very much an amateur there is enough functions on this camera to suit basic professional needs too. The camera is so versatile it can be used for the most basic functions such as making family albums or taking holiday snaps right through to the uses of a semi pro or amateur photographer like myself for doing photo shoots or for photographing sporting events and the likes.
░ The important features░
12x optical zoom lens with Ultrasonic Motor (USM) and UD lens
Optical Image Stabilizer
8.0 Megapixel CCD
DIGIC III...

Canon PowerShot G10 review
Advantages: autofocus, big screen, face detection, 14,7 megapixel, image processor, image stabilisation
Disadvantages: chunky, not very stylish, not as portable as other cameras
...I recently bought one of these at an expensive price. I shall explain some features and my feedback to this item below.
The 14.7-megapixel G10 replaces the PowerShot G9 at the top end of the clever compact space. It's a chunky beast of a camera, as you'll see in your pictures, but still smaller than a dSLR with comparable power and flexibity. The G-series are designed to be the back-up cameras you can keep in your pocket if you don't want to bust out the dSLR, and the G10 certainly packs a lot into its relatively compact frame.
The G10 includes all the whistles, bells and accordions you'd expect: optical image stabilisation, face detection and various scene and colour modes. These include panorama stitch assist, portrait, landscape, and aquarium. The larger-than-most 1/1.7-inch sensor is teamed with Canon's new DIGIC 4 image...

Canon Powershot SX110 IS
Advantages: Lots of features
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...Design
The Canon Powershot SX110 IS is a pretty big camera compared to some on the market. It is around 11cm by 7cm and feels quite large in your hands, although this does make it feel sturdy and strongly built. Despite the size, it fits into your hands rather smoothly and is fairly comfortable to hold. It weighs in at around 300g which is quite heavy but once again makes it feel strong. It is too large to keep it comfortably in your pocket and so the wrist strap comes in handy. (A neck strap would be a nice addition though). I was told you can also purchase a pouch for it to clip on to your belt. You can get to the buttons, pop up flash light and battery space easily and they are all well made and strong. The battery space holds two AA battery's and they are easy to change compared to some cameras which are fiddly or the battery...

Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS -nice little camera
Advantages: Nice little pocket camera with all the necessary features
Disadvantages: Can't really think of anything
...of the pictures.
The pixel count is 8 million pixels. Means it is at the end of the current list of IXUS? when it comes to resolution. Processing is done by Canon's DIGIC III processor. JPEGs are done at approximately 2-5 MB closed and 22.9 MB open. The maximum speed is 1.3 frames per second.
The IXUS 80 comes with an optical viewfinder, which offers a real image zoom view. The 2.5 inch LCD screen is just perfect for any arm-length shoots.
Furthermore you get Face Detection Technology Red-Eye Correction,18 Shooting Modes, Creative movie options
Battery The battery is very reliable. It did not cause me any problems.
Overall this is a nice little camera for the right price. It does last a while, looks nice and has everything you need as a hobby photograper....

A Canon that lacks firepower.
Advantages: Easy to use, well built and looks good (in silver at least)!
Disadvantages: Poor image quality in some lights and not great value for money.
...Canon has been producing great quality cameras since Jesus was a lad, both in the compact digital and the DSLR market. Their cameras regularly combine great looks with awesome technology and performance and the Canon IXUS 980 IS follows that pattern, well as long as you buy it in silver it does because the black version just isn't as good looking by far.
This point and shoot digital camera has a huge 14.7 megapixels and it uses Canon's latest DIGIC 4 processor, it allows simple automatic operation or can be used on almost full manual controls giving the user a real opportunity to take their photography to another level.
Unlike most digital point and shoots this offering from Canon has a full metal body rather than the cheap plastic we have all had to become used to, it feels great in the hand even for a professional like me who is...
