Canon Powershot - Above Average
Advantages: Nice for a small camera, Good settings, Nice overall camera
Disadvantages: Noise @ Low light, Batterys recognised as empty
...,
the powershot is very easy to use, its nice to hold and your hand is positioned well for all types of use, the screen is clear and a non digital viewfinder makes it very nice to use although this is not as accurate as you would expect, it has a button on the front which seems a bit out of place but im pretty sure its supposed to evaluate white balance,
This camera hasn't been advertised as a very durable camera or a waterproof one, but a few light splashes of rain didn't do it any harm and it has held together after a few bumps, it does show paint scratches though, its case is a hard plastic and is quite seamless,
Canon have done a good job at designing this camera, it boasts as a camera that is compact enough for a pocket and also has the usability of a bridge camera, the small bump on the left gives you great grip and gives space for two AA...

Canon Powershot SX200 IS
Advantages: Lots of zoom, lots of pixels, sturdy
Disadvantages: No internal memory, flash pops up whether you want it to or not
...find it less fiddly when you are taking photos and need a quick battery change.
d) SD-HC memory cards. I already have several of these for my DSLR which is convenient and means any of my cards can be used in both of my cameras.
e) HD video capability of 1280x720. This wasn't majorly important but with the memory cards being so cheap then it's a bonus to have the capability of recording video. Quite good when you are on holiday or at a family gathering and want to record some video but don't want the hassle of a separate camcorder.
Finally, I took advantage of a Canon promotion which gave £40 cashback on this particular model. I'd already decided on this camera so the cashback was a nice bonus. All in all, it cost £234.55 including delivery from Jessops.com.
After a few weeks of use I'm finding that I really like this camera...

Powershot from a canon.
Advantages: Affordable, excellent functions and easy to use.
Disadvantages: I will get back to you!
...As many of you will know from reading some of my earlier reviews, I am a very keen amateur photographer. Recently during a very steep learning curve I was given the opportunity to use the Canon Powershot S5 IS for a week and I was so impressed with it I bought one days later.
Although I am very much an amateur there is enough functions on this camera to suit basic professional needs too. The camera is so versatile it can be used for the most basic functions such as making family albums or taking holiday snaps right through to the uses of a semi pro or amateur photographer like myself for doing photo shoots or for photographing sporting events and the likes.
░ The important features░
12x optical zoom lens with Ultrasonic Motor (USM) and UD lens

Canon PowerShot G10 review
Advantages: autofocus, big screen, face detection, 14,7 megapixel, image processor, image stabilisation
Disadvantages: chunky, not very stylish, not as portable as other cameras
...I recently bought one of these at an expensive price. I shall explain some features and my feedback to this item below.
The 14.7-megapixel G10 replaces the PowerShot G9 at the top end of the clever compact space. It's a chunky beast of a camera, as you'll see in your pictures, but still smaller than a dSLR with comparable power and flexibity. The G-series are designed to be the back-up cameras you can keep in your pocket if you don't want to bust out the dSLR, and the G10 certainly packs a lot into its relatively compact frame.
The G10 includes all the whistles, bells and accordions you'd expect: optical image stabilisation, face detection and various scene and colour modes. These include panorama stitch assist, portrait, landscape, and aquarium. The larger-than-most 1/1.7-inch sensor is teamed with Canon's new DIGIC 4 image...

Yes, I Love Canon Powershot A480 !
Advantages: small, light, great pictures, easy to use, attractive, super cheap
Disadvantages: low battery power, lens-error
...I have always been a fan of Canon digital cameras.
Before i use Canon for personal digital camera, i had used Sony for several years until my friend introduced me to Canon IXUS which takes amazing pictures. And since that, i have never gone back to Sony.
As we all know Canon digital cameras capture great pictures and very easy to use.
When I first found Canon Powershot A480 [the red one] on the internet, i found it very cheap among the other digital cameras. I quickly read the features, of course, im not a professional photographer myself, so I just read that it basic features such as:
1. it is a 10.0-megapixel digital camera
2. it has 3.3x optical zoom and capable to print large size images beautifully
3. DIGIC III Image processor [certifies you take sharp images]
4.15 shooting modes with 12 special scene modes
5.High-quality 2.5-inch...

Canon Powershot SX110 IS
Advantages: Lots of features
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...Design
The Canon Powershot SX110 IS is a pretty big camera compared to some on the market. It is around 11cm by 7cm and feels quite large in your hands, although this does make it feel sturdy and strongly built. Despite the size, it fits into your hands rather smoothly and is fairly comfortable to hold. It weighs in at around 300g which is quite heavy but once again makes it feel strong. It is too large to keep it comfortably in your pocket and so the wrist strap comes in handy. (A neck strap would be a nice addition though). I was told you can also purchase a pouch for it to clip on to your belt. You can get to the buttons, pop up flash light and battery space easily and they are all well made and strong. The battery space holds two AA battery's and they are easy to change compared to some cameras which are fiddly or the battery...

Canon Powershot A580
Advantages: Small, easy to use, great quality photos.
Disadvantages: Memory card needs to be bought separately.
...I got this for christmas off my mum and dad, and I love it! Its a great camera and a good price. 8megapixels is alot for a camera of this price!!!
The camera is small, and so very easy to hold, great for if you are using just the one hand to take the pictures. Its very easy to use, with a small rotating button on top to change the "type of picture" you are wanting to take, whether its portrait , landscape, kids/animals, night etc.
The camera has a built in flash and a huge digital screen meaning you can view your pictures in great quality before even putting them near a computer.
You can also edit the pictures previous to putting them onto the computer, you can fix red eye, rotate, change composition. Which is great if your printing the pics straight from the camera.
You do need to get an SD memory card of quite a high...

Canon Powershot SX1 IS Not as good as I expected
Advantages: a point and shoot 20x lens, reasonably good LCD screen
Disadvantages: image quality not great, pretty useless viewfinder, can be overly complicated to setup, CD manual
...The Canon Powershot SX1 IS seems to offer the impossible, read the reviews and it seems image quality is great, the lens has an amazing range of 28-560mm, its image stabilised, its got high quality move mode, ...
Having taken about 500 pictures with it so far I am not that impressed.
Take the camera out of the box charge some batteries add an SD card and see what you have got.
The lens diameter is miniscule when compared to an SLR , nothing unexpected or revolutionary there then, so don't expect superb image quality especially in low light.
Read the manual, er it looks ever so complicated, so lets try taking some pictures as I have already charged a set of batteries.
There is the regulation set of modes, (P,Tv,Av,M,C) plus movie and a set of specials. So lets try Av (aperture priority) and shoot a squirrel in a reasonably well lit...

Canon Ixus / Elph SD 700 IS
Advantages: Good quality Photos, Image Stabilizer, Compact, Large Screen
Disadvantages: Price
...The first thing you will notice about this ixus when you pick it up is its weight, its no the lightest, but its not too heavey either. The weight shows how well built it is and is due to its primarly metal casing. Another thing you will notice is the huuge 2.5" LCD screen which makes veiwing photos very easy!!!
This model featurs a 6 Mega Pixel sensor and this produces great quality photos and the clever image stabilizer reduces the chances of blur if the camera is moving when the phot is taken. Other important things include good battery life, SD memory Card (1GB card costing around £35 will hold 378 photos on maximum quality). The zoom is pretty good on this camera too with 4 X digital zoom.
So to sumerize this camera offers great quality photos, solid build quality and a very compact design.
The only disadvantage I have foun...

Canon by name, average by nature!
Advantages: Good face detection, very robust and a good looker.
Disadvantages: Motion Detection Technology not all it is cracked up to be and other small niggles!
...Canon are a huge name in the world of photography and they have produced some very fine cameras, including some excellent top end DSLR`s. I have never been their biggest fan when it comes to point and shoot cameras and I almost always find something lacking in theirs when compared with the Cyber shots and Samsungs of this world so when I was handed the Canon Powershot A480 and asked to put it through its paces and give an opinion on it, I have to admit I did not expect to be blown away by it.
Firstly I should say that aesthetically it will satisfy the needs of many as it can be bought in four colours, silver, black, blue or deep red, so that is the ?my camera looks better than yours? taken care of but is it any good?
It has a ten megapixel capability, a 3.3X optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD screen, so it is pretty much on a par...
