Recently during a very steep learning curve I was given the opportunity to use the Canon Powershot S5 IS for a week and I was so impressed with it I bought one days later. Although I am very much an amateur there is enough functions on this camera to suit basic professional needs too. ...Bought the camera just over a year ago when my wife gave birth to twins. I was a keen photographer, but always on film before as I felt digital still had some way to go. The Kyocera has a 5MP resolution and gives truly staggering picutres for a camera of this size. I would say that the results are comparable to 35mm film at sizes up to 10x8 inches and far superior to my APS canon IXUS, which I no longer use, in fact I no longer use film!! Crisp Pictures with excellent colour rendition, low noise and good quality. The camera has a range of compression and resolution options, but with memory prices coming down, I take everything at the best possible quality. I have had no problems with the battery life or general reliability/operation of the camera. Build quality is extremely good, but you would expect that from the same company... Read review

...Well, I can only speak as I find, and this has to be one of the smoothest internet purchases I have made in a long time. I made the purchase before reading what others thought of this company, and immediately blocked my credit card payment thinking I was going to be the victim of a scam. How wrong could I be (payment now sent). Camera (Canon S5 Powershot) ordered very late on Saturday evening and arrived safely via UPS on the following Wednesday morning. Camera is in A1 new unused condition, complete with all accessories and then even sent me a mains adaptor (even though this camera works off AA batteries!). Yes, the warranty is perhaps an issue, but for the huge costs savings it is worth taking a chance. ...If you want the quality and features of an slr with the ease of use of a compact then this is the camera for you. the 8 megapixel resolution helps produce fantastic quality pictures which seems to be the norm with canons highly regarded DIGIC III image processor and lens based optical image stabilisation system. the lens has 10x zoom which i find is ideal for any medium range shooting. the S5 has a 2.5" 207k screen that can flip out from the back of the camera, it is bright with extremely good contrast, ideal for viewing photos after taking them. the S5 has a very clever face detection scheme which allws the camera to focus on the faces producing top notch photos, i had never previously experienceed this feature but i found it to be a huge hit. the price is not cheap, you'll pay upwards of £220 for the camera but quality is worth paying... ...Having owned several Samsung branded MP3 players over the years, I really enjoyed them so I decided to upgrade from their K5 mp3 player. I found this well built and very reliable (hardly ever crashed) and loved the portable slide out speaker. When the S5 was released a year later, also with slide out speaker, I thought this upgrade had to be a must. I was right. I decided to go for more storage from a 2gb to an 8gb. The 8gb actually costs less than the 2gb K5 cost! This player has everything the K5 missed and the few faults that the K5 had have been ironed out. The S5 now has album art, a prettier screen, video playback and bluetooth. Fair enough the screen doesn't go as dark as the K5's did, meaning it no longer becomes a seamless part of the front of the player, but it still looks stylish none of the less. The menus are more... ...A fantastic small camera with every feature you could imagine. The price is very reasonable and many features are included in cameras costing twice as much. It is very easy to ue and has pre-set settings for any type of photo you wish to take, including black and white and sunsets. Make sure you charge the battery in the cradle supplied for a good 5/6 hours before using. The software provided is easy to use and set up on your PC as long as you have a basic PC knowledge (mainly follow the options) Make sure you get a decent size memory card as the 64Mb card that comes with the S5i does not hold too many pictures. If you are going to do any video's then a 512Mb will get you about 30mins worth or 1000 photo's.... Read review

...I have had an olympus digi camera for a couple of years now and was getting fed up with it as it was slow and bulky so after some research i found this camera. It is new to the market and perect for what i was after. -quick start up time -very short lag time between photo taking and display -huge screen on the back -5miillion pixels -extremely small in size -lightweight -tons of features and effects! -long battery life what more could i ask for? It can record video and sound and it is so compact! Pentax have removed the little viewfinder which means they can allow for a bigger lcd screen which is fantastic for watching your photos back on. ...I have had this mp3 player for just about a year now and i must admit it is possibly the best mp3 player that ihave every purchased. It has a stylish look and i'm ofter complimented on how cool my mp3 player is and asked where i bought it. The mp3 is easy to use device which uses a touch pad. For me using this is not a problem however of others this may not be the case especially for those that are heavy handed. Overall transferring mp3's from the PC is generally very simple and very suitable for those who have never had experience with using she devices. The sound quality is outstanding and allows several sound settings for different music styles. The battery live is good and does not require batteries.... Read review
