Canon Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan FB630U by
ShaunK
Advantages: Good software, small, slim
Disadvantages: None
...The first things that you notice about the Canon FB630Ui scanner are the striking blue colour of the lid, and the diminutive size. Set up is pretty straightforward provided you know how to install software - the manual is not as helpful as it should be. The scanner itself takes power via the USB port so there's less leads to trail. Scanning a document is reasonably quick, and the one touch button to launch the relevant software is very useful. Supplied software is pretty comprehensive also. For a simple, inexpensive scanner, the Canon FB630Ui is hard to beat....

Cannon BJC-4200
Review of Canon BJC-4200 by
daverodhouse
Advantages: Efficient
Disadvantages: out of date
...The Cannon BJC 4200 was a fairly good printer in its time. Now a days as newer models have been produced, it is falling well below standards. The quality of the print out is not particularly high quality and tends to be fairly slow. The ink cartridges need to be replaced regularly, which could be a problem if you have a large document to print out. However newer models from cannon are up to date and meet all modern specifications. I wouldn’t recommend this printer to you, instead go for a newer model....

Irreverent, addictive but not a purists football game
Review of Sensible World of Soccer (PC) by
Morgenhund
Advantages: Simple, low specs, irreverent
Disadvantages: a lightweight in comparison with today's games
...Having lived off Sensi, and played leagues with friends during my A Levels, I got Sensi World of Soccer, for the added management aspect. The management aspect is quite lightweight, and it would be rude to try and compare this game to Premier Manager 3 or CM2 (the best management sims of the day). Part of the enjoyment of SWOS is the stupidity factor. Where else can you cynically tackle the hell out of your mate's players, until it ends up as six-a-side, or play a team of nursing home grannies against the local kebab shop menu? Admittedly the game is not graphically outstanding (Fifa 96 was a better contemporary) but the game has buckets of playability, and silliness to boot. I still dust it off now and again and have a quick twiddle, but sadly it can't compete with other footie titles....

You'll never walk alone.
Review of Sensible World of Soccer (PC) by
kylecoare
Advantages: Fast soccer action, Management aspect
Disadvantages: poor graphics
...SENSIBLE WORLD OF SOCCER
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
So the football season is well and truly back, what better way to celebrate this than with the best soccer game that has been released.
Nope im not talking about Pro Evolution Soccer, nore am i mentioning the Fifa games, no instead i am going to write about Sensible world of soccer.
Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS) was released in the early 1990's by Sensible software (Creaters of cannon fodder).
It was the latest version of the Sensible soccer range, that at the time was classed as one of the top football titles available.
When it was released the first of the Fifa series had just been released on the Megadrive, and as usual everyone bought that game as it contained lovely graphics, but little did they know they were missing out on an absolute scortcher of a game.
GAMEPLAY...

canon ixus cameria
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 430 by
agermanman
Advantages: good quality photos
Disadvantages: none really
...IXUS digital the Canon 430 the third Camera of the "little" Canon generation is here . The dimensions and the reception quality make also this Digi - Camera again to an all around great product. A Digitalzoom rounds off the Drei. The handling of the Camera is simple and just as the easy is the software of Canon. Whether one needs 4 Megapixel, must decide each for, enlarge performs good services to that. I had yet no problems with the rechargeable batteries in contrast to other Cameras.
With the ID-photo-Print, picture print out become for passport pictures or application purposes the children game: simply connect and print out the portrait without the need for a PC at a Canon Card photo Printer, whose use is by the way also prerequisite for the Movie-Print-mode. A newly developed Print/Share-key drives all functions for simple...

Canon AE1
Review of Canon - Canon by
Moonraker
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Against todays cameras it may seem big
...The AE1 is now well past its prime as far as a lot of the shops are concerned.
It can still take the best of photographs though.
It is a super camera with two modes, programme mode and shutter priority mode.
This camera is very good for an inexperienced photographer or as a first camera.
You can set the camera on programme and it will do it all for you without you having to worry about anything.
It takes a 35 mm film.
This camera can be fitted with a motor drive taking up to 4 frames a second or a small motor drive that can take up to 2 frames a second.
It is still obtainable from Jessops the camera shop which is found in most towns.
Although because it is a Canon it is still very much sought after. Often it is found second hand although most people having an AE1 will hang on to it....

Great Buy
Review of Cannon Cambridge by
nigelward1
Advantages: double oven
Disadvantages: none
...This is my second Cannon Cooker and that will tell you how pleased I am with this make. The Cannon Cambridge has the benefit if a large oven and then a small oven separtely which is also the grill. This is really useful when cooking for a large number of people or just cooking roast dinner when the potatoes when need to be cooked at a different temperature to the meat. Both ovens are self cleaning, I did not really believe this but all you have to do is put the oven on at gas mark 9 for two hours and hey presto! just wipe over the surfaces and it is clean. Overall I would reconmend Cannon Cookers and especially this recent model "The Cambridge"...

Canon 300D
Review of Canon EOS 300D by
PaulineLees
Advantages: Easy to handle, aquaint yourself with and easy to use. Lenses compatible with higher models.
Disadvantages: I can't fault it!
...This camera is an excellent DSLR for any beginner or amatuer. I bought this when Photography was just a hobby, now on a degree course I still find it exceptional. A little more camera to hold on to compared with the 2 newer models, which I personally prefer.
As previously stated it is compatible with all canon EF lenses, so if you wish to update in the future you can carry your lenses with you!
I personally love my camera and despite being updated twice since my purchase it has held its value wonderfully. Canon offer an endless supply of accessories for their cameras, most reasonably priced for plenty of experimentation and fun. I cannot fault my experience so far with canon.
I do not claim to be a prefessional so please read some of the other reviews. I just offer my personal opinion. Canon was leading in this type of camera when I...

paintball for the cheap
Review of Quake III Arena (PC) by
sovereignhill
Advantages: adrenaline city
Disadvantages: e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e for the whole shabang
...intranet + quake III + workmates = no work done! fantastic multiplayer game that is only beaten by sensi soccer tournament on my old Amiga (I shall wipe the dust off it tonight). One of the few games that even people who are no good at it keep coming back for more - always a sign of a brilliant game. Get about 7 people in a small room, throw a couple of rocket launchers and shoot those blimmin eyeballs on legs in the sky. The free for all kick ass tournaments are more fun than capture the flag for a quick fix, but the team work stuff certainly adds life to a well worn genre....

Essence of Love & Passion
Review of Giorgio Armani Sensi Eau De Parfum by
WhiteChocolatePraline
Advantages: Sweet, velvety fragrance
Disadvantages: None
...Sensi came to me as a present and has been one of my favourite perfumes since.
This fragrance was created by Albert Morillas for Giorgio Armani in 2002. Its motto “I feel therefore I am” describes a real woman - full of sensuality, energy, passion, and vulnerable emotions hidden behind self-confidence, coolness and equanimity. It’s mysterious and full of wisdom. A true modern classic.
The perfume comes in a creamy gold box with a protective layer inside it. A beautiful crystal bottle that resembles a petal contains a wonderful amber-coloured perfume.
The first notes are sparkling and fresh smells of lime and acacia, full of sunshine, velvety depth and warmth. The heart of the perfume is jasmine and the last but yet unforgettable accord is a powdery mixture of palisander wood, sweet vanilla and mimosa.
I think, Sensi is more...
