Canon Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan FB630U by
ShaunK
Advantages: Good software, small, slim
Disadvantages: None
...The first things that you notice about the Canon FB630Ui scanner are the striking blue colour of the lid, and the diminutive size. Set up is pretty straightforward provided you know how to install software - the manual is not as helpful as it should be. The scanner itself takes power via the USB port so there's less leads to trail. Scanning a document is reasonably quick, and the one touch button to launch the relevant software is very useful. Supplied software is pretty comprehensive also. For a simple, inexpensive scanner, the Canon FB630Ui is hard to beat....

Cannon BJC-4200
Review of Canon BJC-4200 by
daverodhouse
Advantages: Efficient
Disadvantages: out of date
...The Cannon BJC 4200 was a fairly good printer in its time. Now a days as newer models have been produced, it is falling well below standards. The quality of the print out is not particularly high quality and tends to be fairly slow. The ink cartridges need to be replaced regularly, which could be a problem if you have a large document to print out. However newer models from cannon are up to date and meet all modern specifications. I wouldn’t recommend this printer to you, instead go for a newer model....

canon ixus cameria
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 430 by
agermanman
Advantages: good quality photos
Disadvantages: none really
...IXUS digital the Canon 430 the third Camera of the "little" Canon generation is here . The dimensions and the reception quality make also this Digi - Camera again to an all around great product. A Digitalzoom rounds off the Drei. The handling of the Camera is simple and just as the easy is the software of Canon. Whether one needs 4 Megapixel, must decide each for, enlarge performs good services to that. I had yet no problems with the rechargeable batteries in contrast to other Cameras.
With the ID-photo-Print, picture print out become for passport pictures or application purposes the children game: simply connect and print out the portrait without the need for a PC at a Canon Card photo Printer, whose use is by the way also prerequisite for the Movie-Print-mode. A newly developed Print/Share-key drives all functions for simple...

Sexy Black and Beautiful
Review of Pentax Z20 by
Bigbaz
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: No depth of field preview
...The Z20 was the third model to be introduced in the Pentax Z series of SLR cameras to be supplied fitted with a power zoom lens. Originally costing around the £450 mark when first introduced in 1994 it can now be picked up for as little as £180.
The camera when new was matched against the Canon EOS 500 and the Minolta 5xi, where it faired rather badly in the specialist press. This was rather unfair as neither could complete in terms of specification.
What really upset the press was the inclusion of the power zoom lenses supplied with the camera. Basically this was a lens where you twist the body of the lens and a motor takes over and adjusts the lens to the required focal length, and this was said to make battery life unacceptable. Personally I like this lens. Really it doesn't have to be a problem because any of the multitude...

Canon AE1
Review of Canon - Canon by
Moonraker
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Against todays cameras it may seem big
...The AE1 is now well past its prime as far as a lot of the shops are concerned.
It can still take the best of photographs though.
It is a super camera with two modes, programme mode and shutter priority mode.
This camera is very good for an inexperienced photographer or as a first camera.
You can set the camera on programme and it will do it all for you without you having to worry about anything.
It takes a 35 mm film.
This camera can be fitted with a motor drive taking up to 4 frames a second or a small motor drive that can take up to 2 frames a second.
It is still obtainable from Jessops the camera shop which is found in most towns.
Although because it is a Canon it is still very much sought after. Often it is found second hand although most people having an AE1 will hang on to it....

Great Buy
Review of Cannon Cambridge by
nigelward1
Advantages: double oven
Disadvantages: none
...This is my second Cannon Cooker and that will tell you how pleased I am with this make. The Cannon Cambridge has the benefit if a large oven and then a small oven separtely which is also the grill. This is really useful when cooking for a large number of people or just cooking roast dinner when the potatoes when need to be cooked at a different temperature to the meat. Both ovens are self cleaning, I did not really believe this but all you have to do is put the oven on at gas mark 9 for two hours and hey presto! just wipe over the surfaces and it is clean. Overall I would reconmend Cannon Cookers and especially this recent model "The Cambridge"...

Shopping for a Camera? Worth a quick look!
Review of shopping4cameras.com, online camera store by
whitehall1
Advantages: Good Prices, Great Delivery
Disadvantages: Limited Information, Variable Product Range
...on the product and obtain further details (as set out above for point and shoot digital cameras). However, I was disappointed to note for some SLRs there is almost no further information. If I were to spend £500+ on a digital SLR, I would expect much more information before deciding to buy.
The camera prices range from £399 for a Nikon D50 (black - body only) to £2,900.04 for a Nikon DX2 Digital body (can I have three please????) and there are currently 22 in the selection. For lenses the prices range from £3.73 for an Adapter Ring for a Nikon Coolpix 5000 to £1,449 for a Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8 L USM Image Stabiliser. There are 99 products in the lenses selection.

Canon 300D
Review of Canon EOS 300D by
PaulineLees
Advantages: Easy to handle, aquaint yourself with and easy to use. Lenses compatible with higher models.
Disadvantages: I can't fault it!
...This camera is an excellent DSLR for any beginner or amatuer. I bought this when Photography was just a hobby, now on a degree course I still find it exceptional. A little more camera to hold on to compared with the 2 newer models, which I personally prefer.
As previously stated it is compatible with all canon EF lenses, so if you wish to update in the future you can carry your lenses with you!
I personally love my camera and despite being updated twice since my purchase it has held its value wonderfully. Canon offer an endless supply of accessories for their cameras, most reasonably priced for plenty of experimentation and fun. I cannot fault my experience so far with canon.
I do not claim to be a prefessional so please read some of the other reviews. I just offer my personal opinion. Canon was leading in this type of camera when I...

Nearly the best ever !
Review of Canon - Canon by
MarcusPerkins
Advantages: Huge Spec, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: No built in flash
...I have built up my camera kit over a period of years on a very tight budget whilst trying to raise a family. I brought my EOS600 3 years ago for £180 with a cheap Sigma 35-80 lens. I read lots of reviews in magazines and decided that for the spec, no other budget used AF SLR comes close.
This was the EOS 1 of its day, when Minolta and Canon were battling for supremacy in the new AF market.
5fps motorwind, Predictive AF, Depth mode , Program Mode, Shutter Priority, Aperature Priority, Full Manual, Partial Metering, Multi Segment and Manual Metering are some of the main features this camera has.
I have now upgraded my lenses to a Sigma 100-300 and a Canon 28-80 USM. The results are excellent and the USM lens works as well as on the the very latest EOS cameras.
The only real draw back for me is the lack of a cheap off camera Hot shoe...

Canon Ip1500
Review of Canon PIXMA IP1500 by
alan181082e
Advantages: cheap ink, fast printing, quiet mode
Disadvantages: If not in quiet mode then it can be quite noisy
...The canon ip1500 is probably the best printer i have had, It is smart looks good and unlike other cheap models out there it works perfectly fine, This printer is a fast printer and has several features like head cleaning and low ink warning. The ink for this printer unlike some others on the market is also cheap so you cant go wrong with buying a canon ip1500 cheap printer which does a good job and cheap ink which lasts a while. Its fast reliable and cheap. This printer retails at about £40 and the ink i used to buy from a site called choice stationary and i pay about £3 for my ink. Black and colour.
I have had my printer now for about 2 years and i have not had one problem with it at all. I use it all the time for printing documents and work related stuff. basically if you want a standard printer from printing documents etc and want...
