But quite often, it will be the soundtrack. With a few exceptions, most movies are accompanied by a memorable soundtrack which, more often then not, is a big hit. The Movies

Advantages: different game
Disadvantages: gets rather repetitive

...The Movies by Lionhead Studios, looks promising from the outside, from the nice design and the eye-catching screenshots on the back, as well as the description, which makes this game sound fantastic. Unfortunately, this isnt the full story, and making your "Own Movie" does seem to be a " box office flop" When you launch 'The Movies' for the first time, you have the choice to go from early on to 2000, onwards. The timescale is rather slow, which gives a sense of boredum, as it leads to you being easily bored. As the game focusses time ( year) on the quality, and actions available in your movies, the limited features in say the 1930's are poor, and really make the game dull. So, maybe I am being too harsh, on The Movies? I am not! MOVIE MAKING: So, I will agree here, the sound of making your own movies sounds exciting...

Garfield: The Movie

Advantages: Great for pet owners and lovers of the original comic strip
Disadvantages: Kids will love it more

Bee Movie

Advantages: Very cute, pretty world, funny jokes, appeals to all ages
Disadvantages: Non sensical

...As a fan of animated animal movies such as Happy Feet and Finding Nemo, I was pleased to see adverts for Bee Movie - it just looked so cute, of course I had to give it a try! In case you couldn't guess from the title, Bee Movie is based around, well, bees. More specifically, it is about a young bee called Barry who just can't decide what he wants to do with his life. It is traditional for all of the bees to only work in one job for their entire life, and he just can't choose which area is right for him. He decides to give pollen collecting a go, however whilst out collecting pollen he gets trapped in the rain and ends up inside a human house where everybody tries to kill him - with the exception of a woman called Vanessa who saves his life. And, somewhat oddly, he ends up falling in love with her. He begins to visit her frequently...

Advantages: Some funny bits

...There can't be too many people that need introducing to TV's most dysfunctional TV family but just in case there is I will begin by saying that they are an animated family that live in Springfield, somewhere in the United States. Mother to their three children, is bright blue haired Marge, father is the slob like Homer whilst the three children are Bart, Lisa and baby Maggie. The Simpson's cartoons have been screened regularly in the UK on both Sky One and Channel 4. Over 400 individual episodes of these 25 minute long cartoons have been made and this number is still rising. A full length movie version is something that had been in the pipeline for quite a few years. Unlike most animated cartoons the Simpsons are not entirely aimed at children, they have a huge adult fan base and their use of witty double entendres make them work...

...I recently managed to fill up my 80GB Hard drive with all sorts of rubbish and needed some CD's to store my information on. Usually I would buy them from Tesco's, but as I was In a hurry I popped into my local computer retailer (Northbridge Computers in Lowestoft) to see what he had available. All he had on this occassion was TDK CD-R80 discs. There was single CD's in cases, boxs of ten in cases and spindles of twenty-five and one hundred. I plummeted for the spindle of twenty-five as I wasn't rich enough at the time to buy the big fat one hundred spindle. ***Product*** The disc's themselves are light blue with a silver swirl on it. TDK CD-R80 is clearly stamped on it. There is plenty of room to write on them and they can store up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes recording time. They are ideal for backing up files, pictures, photos...

I didn't think it would become one of my favourite animations and I was correct, however it was quite enjoyable. The movie is very colourful from start to finsish, always good in a movie I feel. Of course the movie is mainly aimed at kids and the bright colours help to keep their interest, but I felt that most of the jokes were audible...

The Simpsons Movie - Disappointing

Advantages: Well made - entertaining.
Disadvantages: Too long.

...Springfield in order to save the inhabitants from certain death. 'The Simpsons Movie' is, in reality, an extended episode of The Simpsons. There are no surprises, except perhaps that Homer is stupider and far more selfish than usual - and, for those fans who have kept up with the Simpsons all these years, there are some action scenes reminiscent of older episodes. As a fan of The Simpsons, I, like almost everyone else, can happily watch rerun after rerun and still laugh at all the silliness - however, watching this movie once is about all I will ever be able to stomach. As you will have guessed - I didn't like it. Gasp, shock, horror - yes, you heard me right, I simply did not like this far too long version of The Simpsons. Why? For beginners, the pleasure in watching the antics of The Simpsons lies fully in its brief yet well...
