As far as I am concerned what I look for is a good atmosphere, a good menu selection, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, but mainly it needs to be a restaurant that I want to visit again, and again. This is certainly the case with Verdes Ristorante and Pizzeria which has been a popular family run restaurant in Lancaster for many years. The restaurant is situated in the centre of town in Church Street, it's open seven days a week from 11.30am to 10.30pm for meals or just a tea or coffee. Hotel Monte Verde

Advantages: Very Clean
Disadvantages: Awful Food, Noisy, Far way from Palma Airport

...In October 2006 I went on an all-inclusive holiday for one week to Porto Cristo on the east coast of Majorca (Mallorca). I stayed in a hotel called the Monte Verde. It cost me £169 and I will now share my experiences of this hotel with you. The Monte Verde Hotel was built in 1969 and was fully refurbished during the winter of 2000. The Monte Verde has a total of 140 rooms that are built over 7 floors. When I pulled up to The Monte Verde I was not very impressed with the look of the hotel, it looked like a block of flats and was similar to some of the housing around Porto Cristo, which looked a bit basic and old fashioned. However The Monte Verde is only a 2 star hotel so I was not expecting too much. The Cape of great hotel!

Advantages: Great location
Disadvantages: Not that family friendly

...The Radisson SAS Waterfront was a great hotel situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, with views of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain. The hotel was just on the edge of the town centre. Most hotels are located around the Victoria and Alfred waterfront complex and, as such, have particularly steep prices. The Radisson was walking distance to the V&A waterfront but did not suffer from extortionate prices (our room came in at about £70 a night). It had a sizeable car park and was well situated for driving down the coast of Cape Town. At the time of booking, we were not offered a choice on rooms so ended up with a basic room only. Cape Town, the place to be

Advantages: Great Scenery, Value for money, Pristine beaches

...Cape town is an aersome place. i love it so much and would highly recommend anyone visit it. From pristine wite beaches, the awesome mountan and the V&A waterfront, this is the place to be! It is also very cheap whe nyou are coming over from the united states or europe bercause of the exchange rate. a beer costs around $1 - $1.50. Cape town is relatively safe compared to most south africa ncities, especially johannesburg, mostly due to the huge tourist industry. cape town is pretty small and easy to travel around. there is no trains or decent bus service, but you can hire a car for really cheap, and the are tour buses in the city. i highly recommend going there www.explorecapetown.co.za...

Cape of Good Holidays!

Advantages: Beautiful veiws and gorgeous weather! Very cheap with exchange rate!
Disadvantages: Expensive flights, not safe at night!

Advantages: Lovely place, nice people, cheap shopping, good food
Disadvantages: You may run out of things to do

...Ooh.. what a lovely place. I was in Cape Town for the Millennium celebrations, and I had also been there four years before. It was an unforgettable experience. The hotel organised a huge banquet with special plates that say the Vineyard 1999-2000. We were allowed to take these home, as well as the specially embroidered serviettes. The people were lovely there, always saying nice things and complimenting you. The hotel was stunning - we got to stay in the Mountain View suite, and the views were breathtaking. To do, there was a big selection. We went in to town a few times, and there was lots to do there. Shopping, and all very cheap! Another day we visited the beaches and went for a swim and there are many more activities to take part in, but I admit it could get a little boring. Beautiful Cape Town

Advantages: The most beautiful city in the world, the view of Table mountain from the ocean

...This review actually starts in Johannesburg but most of the time was spent in Cape Town and that is why I have chosen to categorize it under "Cape Town" I landed in Johannesburg (also know as Jo?burg) on the 31st of January 1999. The first few days were a bit amputated due to the fact that KLM, together with the Norwegian airline company Braathens, managed to send my luggage to Aberdeen, in Scotland, instead of sending it to Johannesburg. It took them 4 days to locate it and deliver it to me. I don?t think that Johannesburg has that much to offer to tourists. The Kruger Park is not that far from the city and many use this city as a starting point for safaris. I have to admit that I didn?t go on a safari during my stay in South Africa. I only stayed in Joburg for two days before moving on to Cape Town. Cape Town is in my opinion...

the western cape - well worth a visit

Advantages: stunning scenery, quite cheap, dolphins, no jet lag
Disadvantages: very very touristy in places,can be dangerous

...(they're farmed so you don't eat the ones you see), kinda a cross between squid and chicken (why does everything taste of chicken??) and apparently they are setting up cage diving with crocs so you will be able to see wht they are like in the water...could be quite interesting. My favourite trip out of plett had to be the one to cape town, the city had such a buzz about it and i wish i could have stayed longer, 3 days wasn't really enough, especially after an 8 hour coach ride to get there. there was only one reason why i originally went to cape town - for my, as i like to call it , great white shark snorkel - i actually did this 2 hours out of cape town in gansbaai, the same place that channel 5 did the celebrity shark dive, during some kind of shark week they had. It did cost 900rand (and that was with a discount)plus 200rand...
