Capo Bay Hotel, Protaras

Advantages: fantastic 4* hotel
Disadvantages: don't go there in the week that they close!

...We have just returned from our honeymoon in Cyprus. We stayed at the Capo Bay Hotel, which stands on the Fig Tree Bay in the resort of Protaras. It is one hours drive from Larnaca Airport. (I will reveiw Protaras as a resort separately. This review is solely on the Capo Bay Hotel). The hotel was fantastic. It is 4star hotel and the service and facilities are great. The Capo Bay hotel has 225 rooms over 4 floors and was built in 1985. It offers a gymnasium with massage and jacuzzi, tennis, scuba diving, pool, 2 swimming pools (1 heated) and 4 different restaurants to eat in, including 1 beside the pool. We paid £1500 for two weeks Bed & Breakfast. This was for an inland view room, but because we were on our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a seaview room. Fab find of hotel

Advantages: standard, staff, location to Colosseum
Disadvantages: price maybe too high for some

...Well where can i start with the Capo d'africa hotel? It is lovely and a great choice of hotel so I'll start with the basics and work my way along! The hotel: The hotel itself is a 4 star superior hotel located near to the Colosseum in Rome actually on via capo d'africa. It is a relatively small hotel but, for the location (it is down a quiet narrow side road) it is actually what i would class a a larger size hotel as it does have facilities besides just rooms and takes up a fair bit of space on the street! The hotel is very modern and 'art deco' style and looks very upmarket both inside and out. This hotel would be great for honeymooners and couples as very good standard and also I don't think you'd get very many children here either (we spotted a couple with 2 children in the breakfast room one morning but they were older) I...

Escape to a different world for a few hours

Advantages: a rare look into "this thing of ours" from the inside
Disadvantages: is all the information completely accurate

...agents throughout the US with their undercover work and the book describes how many difficulties Pistone faced just staying alive although as he admits himself his personal life suffered greatly as a result. As Pistone becomes more known in mafia circles he becomes more useful to his capo(captain) "Sonny Black" Napolitano who even proposes him for full membership into the mafia. The book details all the scams and discusions in great detail and having watched the film the film first i was pleased that it doesnt over glorify certain situations and over dramatise as only films can especially when the book goes against some of the incidents portrayed in the film. The book itself is one of the most enjoyable books i have ever read and i found it very difficult to put it down once i had started it. Its an absolute must for anyone interested in...

The Amalfi Coast -----Is this the best scenic route in Europe???

Advantages: Breathtakingly beautiful.
Disadvantages: The road is not one for the feint of heart

...the box is that, the bottle itself is a pain to pack (especially as it is glass) but the box protects the bottle and the rectangular shape means it is easy to pack. Actually carrying the bottle around with you when you go out is not practical. However you can buy empty spray bottles from places like Boots which are not glass and are much smaller. The perfume comes in a clear glass bottle, again with a silver CK logo on the front. The bottle is not very interesting, in fact I think it is actually quite boring! The bottle comes with a screw capo and a sprayer. This is my favourite bit about the perfume. It means that if you are taking it on holiday in a suitcase, you can prevent any leakage by placing the screw tap on. ...Five minutes down the road from Ayia Napa is the town of Protoras. This is a fab town with quite a nightlife of it's own. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from including the Only Fools and Horses bar which we loved. They are all reasonably priced aswell and everything is in walking distance. This resort is great for families too and has a lovely beach to sunbathe on in the day. If you want to venture out to Ayia Napa, it will cost you about a fiver in a cab. A great hotel to stay at is the Capo Bay hotel which is located right on the beach and is very luxurious. A little pricey but well worth the money. (Our friends stayed there and we were very jealous to say the least) And the diving is great.
