Disadvantages: Feels like a cattle pen. In the middle of a housing estate.

...Southsea Leisure Park is where I stayed last Friday night with my wife and two stepchildren and firstly I would like to state that "LEISURE PARK" is not what I would call it and I find it misleading. The website states that certain facilities such as swimming pool, golf, fishing, children's play area, and others are onsite or nearby, but fails to tell you exactly which facilities are onsite and which ones are not. I first booked this site a month ago and found the booking service by telephone very easy. You can also book online at "Southsealeisurepark.com" but you will have to wait for a response. At the time of booking the person who took my call was helpful and polite. As I was only giving short notice of my visit I was asked to pay on arrival which was surprising but useful as I didn't have to hunt down my credit card. We left...

My favourite park!

Advantages: Lots of space and things to see and do
Disadvantages: None

...at the park: If like me you actually live quite close to the park but, just slightly too far to walk in a reasonable time, or live no where near there is parking available. There is a charge for this which is £1 per car and this is for as long as you want! I think this is very reasonable when compared to other parks in the region such as Tatton which charge more than double that! Overall opinion: I think Wythenshawe park is a great place for everybody - myself and my husband have walked our dogs many times in the park and the huge open fields mean there is always lots of space and even though there might be lots of visitors it never feels too busy. The playground keeps children happy for hours and the range of other things to see and do mean you could easily spend a whole day here. I would always recommend this park to anybody as I am...

...is very accessible! It is behind a lot of houses at one end, so for many it is simply an out of the back door park. FOr others though it may be quite a hike, and a car would be best. Thankfully there is a little car park within the park so it is not a problem. There are also a few cycle routes that take you straight into the park too. Thankfully, you can get to this glorious park in many ways so should be suitable for all, especially since they recently lauched a bus service that runs round the streets and picks people up to take them there during Summer! One thing that makes the park good is its amount of amenities. There is the car park, which does make traveling a lot easier. For those unfamiliar with the format of the 'Theme' games, they are basically simulation games where you have to make as much money as you can!] In theme park world, this involves starting a theme park from scratch and building it as you like - designing the format. You also have to hire scientists and spend money on research and, every now and again (depending on your investment levels) they will come up with a new idea for a ride/shop/restaurant for your park. You have to correctly judge what your crowd will like/dislike and how much they will be willing to pay to gain entry to your park. ...I have lived in Dover my whole life and Connaught Park is the only park in Dover. Since moving in with my girlfriend and her two dogs, two years ago, I have found myself to be quite a regular visitor to Connaught Park as its a lovely place to walk the dog or to just chill on a summers day. History Connaught Park was the first park to ever be built in Dover and dates back to Victorian times. Connaught Park was first opened on 1st May 1883, although it was actually formally opened on the 14th of July 1884 by the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. ...On a recent visit to Didim, a resort close to Bodrum in Turkey, eldest son, who had been there for a couple of months, insisted that we HAD to go to the water park. Not being a great fan, I agreed reluctantly, imagining all kinds of horrors...huge queues to get on any of the slides, cramped areas, and dirty pools. However, who am I to refuse? himself, being a fan of them wanted to go along as well, so the two of them eventually dragged me away from the pool, and off we went. Getting there... This was really simple, in that there is a courtesy coach which takes you from the centre of the town, passes Apollo and after 15 minutes, deposits you at the park. One thing to remember, though, whilst they are keen to get you to the park, at the end of the day, the coaches are VERY infrequent and have to be paid for, if you can...

Advantages: reasonable priced, rides located near to each other, good disabled access

For example, the park is now shut until the New Year and it opens again mid February for a couple of weeks 10am - 5pm. From here the park has longer opening hours, averaging 9.30am - 7pm but in the height of summer it opens until 9pm. PARKING THE CAR Thorpe Park has a massive car park which is within the grounds of the park so parking is not a problem! It was also free which was nice! Solway Holiday Park

...I have just come back from a week in the Lakes and have decided to try and have a go at reviewing the place we stayed. Solway Holiday Park is situated in Silloth Cumbria (about 22 miles west of Carlisle) which is small village with a population of around 3000. If you want a town with lots going on then Silloth is not for you, it has a lovely large green and a great sea view although it is not a beach. It also has cafes and the odd take away along with some little shops and of course a Spar (everywhere seems to have a Spar). Near the green is amusements which also sells refreshments. The park itself was quite easy to find I got the directions from greenflag. As we drove in through the entrance the reception was quite well sign posted, when we booked we were told booking in time was 4pm (which I thought was a bit late but...
