.... It is made entirely of plastic but does feel well made. It attaches to the wheel unit via a clip mechanism and so does hold it very securley in place. The attachement has rubber pads to prevfent marking on a table, but I still would not recommend using it on a best table. It secures on the table with a large pastic screw mechanism and will ensure the unit is not going to slip. PEDALS: The pedal unit is fairly light and initially makes you think its not well made and a cheap part of the whole unit. However the pedals themeselve are very well designed with a strong spring mechanism to give you the real sense of using pedals in a car and the accelerator ahs a aluminium finish, giving it a nice overall look. The surrounding plastic of the base is what makes it look cheap, I think this is more because it is just in a white colour...

Car Fever or Car Bore? You Decide

Advantages: It passed the 2 and a half hour flight
Disadvantages: Doesn't really do what it says on the tin, rambles off on a tangent too often

...It would seem that being a presenter on Top Gear is a guarantee towards getting a few book deals and it seems a newspaper column. We've all become used to Jeremy Clarkson's compilations of his newspaper columns and now it seems that James May has jumped onto that bandwagon. Unlike his prior books this is simply a collection of his motoring articles from his regular column in the Telegraph. It's a recognized format now and May complies 304 pages of his ramblings on cars and subjects related with cars. He covers all manner of topics from his own perceptions of the worst parts of the Audi R8 to the benefits of owning a Fiat Panda. While the collection of articles are in a similar vein to Clarkson's, even following his co presenters 3-4 pages per article it just didn't appeal to me anywhere near as much. ...This is a funny old product because, of course, it's not really much more than a circular piece of plastic, yet it feels so good! The Wii Wheel is a driving wheel for use with Wii games that, erm, require you to drive. The way it works is you insert the Wii remote into it (it fits very snug), and then use the whole thing to drive. The Wii remote is not included in the purchase. There is a 'B' button on the back of the wheel, operatable with your left pointy finger. The wheel cost me £6.99 on sopto.net and is the same price in Game stores around the country. My Car has Four Wheels!

Advantages: Looks good, very comfortable seats, smooth drive
Disadvantages: A bit too much plastic, problems early on, small glove compartment

.... As I got mine so early, those extras would have inflated the price. DRIVING The drive is very smooth and it's a very comfortable drive. The front seats are 'bucketed' seats which you find in sports cars to stop you sliding to the sides. The seats can be easily adjusted in various ways. i.e. slide back - forward, back rest tilt, and height. The steering wheel can also be adjusted (forwards, backwards, up, down). Only thing is that it does take a fraction of second to get going from lifting the clutch and pressing the accelerator, as if there were a 'delay'. It is only for a fraction of a second so it's nothing major and one can get used to it quite quickly but it's most likely due to the car being not too powerful. I have the 1.2 version but I read that even the 1.4 flavour isn't that powerful. Don't know about the Diesel versions...

...We are all quite fond of eating biscuits in my household. In fact we tend to go through quite a lot in the space of a week often as a result of packed lunches for all of us and an after school snack for the children. I tend to try and buy slightly more healthy versions for example serial bars however occasionally if I see a special offer on at the local supermarket I will tend to buy a slightly more indulgent biscuit pack. Catherine Wheel were formed in 1990 and are probably best described (during their early days) as shoegaze-oriented indie-rock with a supreme ear for melody and an uncharacteristically (for the genre) strong and present vocalist in Rob Dickinson. Despite being pigeonholed with other bands of this sub-genre such as My Bloody Valentine, they probably owed more to the reto-indie groups of the time such as House of Love.
