A perfect racket for Nadal worshippers and club players alike

Advantages: A lot of power and a large sweet spot
Disadvantages: Paintwork etc prome to being chipped away easily

...Provided you have reasonably powerful legs and arms, and basic core strength this racket will treat you very well. It will deliver for you countless inside-out forhand winners and vicious down the line drives with great satisfaction and little effort. However, you do need strength to use this racket - and proper technique is a necessity if you plan on using any babolat. Countless times my friends attempt to use my Aero Pro Drive without proper tennis coaching and find balls spinning hopelessly over the court fencing! This racket has massive power at its disposal but to release it without a lot of effort on your behalf you must have a consistent and effective technique in both bread and butter baseline swings. If you feel that this is the racket for you, i would recommend trying it (or any similar Babolat model) first to make sure you...

Review of Babolat AeroPro Drive + Tennis Racket

Very smooth and weighty racket, you need arms like Nadal!

Advantages: spin, power, good strings and style
Disadvantages: heavy racket

...Okay, I don't officially own this racket but I ordered a few tennis rackets on trial and the Babolat AeroPro Plus is one of them. As used by Rafael Nadal. I found it personally a bit on the heavy side ( about 11.1oz strung). Nevertheless this racket does feel good especially when used for various spin shots and baseline shots. I found it especially good for slice serving, it really gives a nice kick and due to the longer length of the racket it enabled me to reach a bit further when I am stretching and greatly benefits on my serve. In my opinion this is a head heavy racket combined this with the cortex filter system (reduces vibration) and aero frame design it gives a better feel of the ball and enhances maneuverability meaning that more power can be generated. It has a nice size head at 100sq.in. which gives a nice sized sweet...

Carbon Fibre, light weight.. Lighter wallet too.

Advantages: Lightweight, high quality tripod.
Disadvantages: Expensive.

...Manfrotto have long had a reputation amongst professional and serious amateur photographers for making high quality items for the photographic and film production industry. Their range is huge, and includes things that many people have never even though of, but someone, somewhere has created a need for. Manfrotto have numerous product ranges, covering tripods for many varied purposes, and one of these ranges is the 'Carbon No 1' range, which currently consists of 5 tripods, and one monopod, the tube sections of which are made from carbon fibre, and the metal fittings largely magnesium alloy. The choice of materials has reduced the weight of these camera supports by approximately 30% when compared to a similar item made from aluminium alloy. The legs are 'unfinished' carbon fibre, so you can still see the 'weave' pattern...

Tresemme Fibre Putty

Advantages: Brilliant, with a cracking smell
Disadvantages: Can leave a stick residue on your hands

...Here's a little styling beauty. From the good people at Tresemme, this is their "Create" Fibre Putty. Available in all good stockists, and some rubbish ones as well...actually, probably only good ones! This hair product comes in a 150ml/129g transparent tub, complete with black screw lid. Being made by Tresemme, you would expect the standard of this product to be almost second to none, and on first impressions it certainly is. Upon opening the tub, the first thing that strikes you is the delicious smell. It's a sweet, fruity kind of smell which I can't quite put my finger on, but it's something I'm a big fan of. Over time, naturally the smell deteriorates, but it still lingers the further you get through the white putty. According to the tub, the product "creates and holds lasting messed up effect," which I think sums it up...

Wilson Ksix-one tour tennes racket

Advantages: Good control racket
Disadvantages: Heavy racket

...Roger Federer's racket for the tour, the one he has been using from the Australian Open 2007 onwards. The racket comes from Wilson. When I play with this racket, I found that the racket swings through just a bit quicker than the nSix One Tour (the old style racket). It gave the impression of being a bit more aerodynamic through the air, both for groundstrokes and serves, thus adding power. The string bed seeemed to give more bite on the ball which gave more potential for spin & control. Conclusion: If you have the ability to cope with a heavy racket, then you will definately get more power and control from your game. Would suit all advanced players or extreme hard hitters. Wilson are always my racket of choice from the first time I pickd up the original pro staff tour (Sampras's racket of choice)...

Prince tennis racket

Advantages: A large amount of control and a good price
Disadvantages: Not much power

...I have been waiting for Ciao to add this tennis racket to their catalogue for ages and at last they have. I am a keen tennis player and I like to think that I am very good. I play for about six to eight hours per week depending on the weather. I play in competitions and have coaching sessions throughout the week. I will justify my reasons for using this tennis racket in the paragraphs that follow this one. ---Power--- This racket has a very low power rating. This means you have to generate much of your power yourself, through your technique and the natural power you posses. The benifit of have a low level of power, is that you can really strike through the ball without much fear that it will go out of the court. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable when playing as I know that I have a larger margin for error to play with...

Tesco Fruit and plenty of fibre

Advantages: A cereal that is full of fibre
Disadvantages: nothing major

...I have to admit that fibre cereals would not be my Number One choice, but there are certain times that a matter has to be addressed and I scuttle off to Tesco in search of relief. Yes, you read correctly, relief! I am sure that I am not the only person that suffers from constipation. So if the pipes start to seize up then it is time to set the wheels in motion. A 750g box of Tesco Fruit and Fibre cereal costs around £1.50, so if I am going to spend that much then I want to see results! Tesco have done a good job marketing this cereal product, the picture on the box makes it look delicious. The top section of the box is in a shade of dark purple, rather regal! The words Tesco Fruit and Fibre stand out in white lettering. Below that is what looks to be a rather extravagant breakfast table, a bowl of Tesco Fruit and Fibre...

Head Metallix 4 = Pretty good!

Advantages: Great spin, good strokes all round, decent serves and volleys. Good all-round racket.
Disadvantages: 107sq inch headsize, possibly too big? Not too much control on volleys. but that is all!

...Iv'e had this racket for approx 6 months. Was moving from a Babolat Aeropro drive (original), only because I just don't think the Babolat is particularly suited to my game (And the strings broke!). I'm a steady player, not brilliant but still play well. I bought it from the Tennis Warehouse website in the US. I had it custom strung with Head Sonic Pro 17 gauge string at 60lbs. I didn't know much about the strings or the tension but enough to kinda know what I was doing after reading many reviews! At first I found the racket hard to get used to, shots spraying all over the shop and just pretty poor play! However, I think this was down to my ability at the time and the change between rackets. I decided to keep playing with it anyway, (I didnt have much choice as the Babolat was being re-strung anyway). After few days of hitting my strokes...

ANYONE FOR MONKEY TENNIS?

Advantages: Fun, Easy to pick up
Disadvantages: None of note

...Tennis; not a sport I particularly enjoy watching, and certainly not a sport I?ve ever considered donning my finest Fred Perry and participating in, so any console game based on the racket sport was always going to face an uphill task trying to engage me. Sega Superstar Tennis nearly didn?t deliver; I first played it last year, but getting beaten twice in quick succession and not being bothered to read the instructions and learn the controls meant I tossed it aside after half an hour of random joypad jiggery. Luckily, somebody I know started to extol its virtues as a good, fun and engaging game ? so I thought I?d better slip it back into the Xbox 360?s disk drive for a second outing. And I have to say I?m glad I did; five minutes browsing the instruction booklet and familiarizing myself with the games controls and I was away, lobbing...

Virtua Tennis 2009

Advantages: Mini-games, Trophy Collecting Opportunity
Disadvantages: Online, Graphics, Career Mode, Stumbling

...rankings and have yet to lose a match - that is why the game is so boring. It takes forever to reach number 1 but if your willing to stick at it, even someone who has never played a tennis game before (maybe even a games console) can do it. The other aspect of Career mode is training. You can train by either playing the mini-games (the best thing in the whole game) or by going to the tennis academy where you are taught by Tim Henman. You can also buy new equpiment through your career, but to unlock it you must win a sponsorship match each year, which is important. The only way you can lose at this game is if you lose your sponsorship match and therefore can't buy a new racket. - Mini-Games - You can play these either by yourself or against a friend (on the same console). These game are by far the high-point of the game...
