Casio Casio...where for art though Casio?
Advantages: Small, easey to use good opperating system.
Disadvantages: Not enough storage!
...I own two devices(cassiopeia A11 and uniden unipro pc100) both running windows ce version 2.0. And after a couple of years I still find myself using an old Sharp OZ9500 for daily use as a personal organizer. I think the concept of a personal organizer requires that the OS be easy to use and the applications likewise.
That's not to say this OS isn't useful, but as a personal organizer OS its packed with too many features that are unnecessary. My first device the A11 I bought with the hope of being able to surf the web without having to lug around a notebook computer. Now its understandable that the browser provided has to be slimmed down to accomodate the lack of memory in these devices, but with all the advancements in the web these days it has pretty well reduced the browser to being able to look at web pages in near text mode...

Casio Calculator
Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

Casio fx-83EX is a great school calculator!
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
...will be some useful functions on these type of calculators (like solving quadratic equation and drawing out graph transformations etc.) that you cannot do on the Casio fx-83EX. But even now, at university, i still keep this calculator as it is so easy to use and has useful functions that you sometimes don't even get on the very expensive calculators!
I would definitely recommend this product!
Another last note is to say that to be honest, you don't even need to bother with the instruction manual as it is so simple to use and it is a commonly used calculator in schools so the teachers are bound to know how to do everything!...

Great Screen, but a bit chunky
Advantages: Great Screen, swappable battery
Disadvantages: Chunky, limited expansion to Compact Flash
...The Casio E125 is the latest evolution of their Cassiopeia range of Pocket PCs, and feature improvements on the already rather good E-115
The first thing you notice about the Cassiopeia is the screen with excellent resolution and colour depth. AFAIK it is the only pocket PC with a 16bit screen (64K colours) the Compaq and HP offerings being only 12 bit (4096 colours) which makes a difference if you want to view photo type images. It doesn't perform quite as well outdoors as the Compaq IPaqs screen but still viewable with some shading.
So what's the damage? #379+vat from Dabs direct. So the E-125 had better be more than a pretty face.
As stated before the E-125 is an evolution of the previous model, and the packaging hasn't really changed, so it's still quite a large pocket PC, comparable to the HP Journadas, and not as slim...

Casio the wonder calculator!
Advantages: Reliable, Long battery life and very handy!
Disadvantages: Long mathmatical equation inputting not so good.
...This Casio calculator has been at my side for approximately at least 5years now, and is in more demand now than previous use. I have used this calculator in 3 main areas.
1. General GCSE
2. Chemistry and Biology A-level and now
3. Chemistry degree (first year only so far?)
GCSE:
Harking back to the good ole days (why are they called the good ole days? Someone please tell me why!) My calculator joined me in my quest of maths at the tender age of 13, where the most advanced calculations it was asked to do was to deal with are such aspects as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, powers and bracketed equations. These are the basics of most maths until a level maths, and on these small calculations it doesn?t fail. One would think that if it did it wouldn?t really be a good calculator! (By the way...

A great way to get a Pocket PC
Advantages: built in compact flash port
Disadvantages: can feel bulky for a "pocket pc"
...The Casio E-125 may feel slightly bulky in the pockect but that doesnt affect its quality. It has a nice screen and lots of neat features. Forget the pocket pc part of it first and think of the machine itself it has a built in compact flash port. Which already in my opinion put it one step over the compaq ipaqs. This machine with its 32mb of memory is a dream to work with and comes with a usb docking cradle which is so simple to use. It comes with a soft carry case whihc is great for protecting the screen from scratching but isnt very good at anything else. The stylus for writing is great to use even for a left hander like me the hand writing recognition was able to pick up even my scrawling and very well at that!...

Casio MX8V is as easy as 1 2 3!
Advantages: Robust, reliable with big keys
Disadvantages: No complicated functions.
...When I was at school we had to have scientific calculators- you know the sort, loads of buttons and functions that you could never remember how to use. My children now both have these types floating around inside their schoolbags somewhere but whenever I needed to use a calculator I could never find one! Eventually I tired of trying to use the calculator on my PC or phone and decided to buy myself a proper calculator.
The choice of calculators everywhere seemed overwhelming but when I thought about it I really didn't need anything too complicated. I just needed a basic machine for working out my finances etc. I had a look in the Argos catalogue and decided to opt for the Casio MX8V. I had owned Casio calculators in the past and been happy with them and it looked nice and simple! It cost about £5 when I bought it in 2007 and I have...
