Casio Exilim EX-S770 - Poor camera quality, overpriced

Advantages: Nice design
Disadvantages: Bad photo quality, overpriced

...phone it was still decent but obviously not of the same quality. On the EX-S700, the image was slightly out of focus even though I had all the right settings on and took it with a steady hand and it made my friend look stupidly shiny, which there was no way she looked like that in person. This camera seems to like to make everyone look like they've been polished and rough, which I doubt anyone wants to have in their family album, especially when they don't even look like that in the first place. The camera turns on too easily - never put this camera in your pocket. When the camera turns on, the lens comes out, which in a pocket... well, not good news. The amount of times I've heard a nasty crunch and thought the lens has crushed into pieces, but luckily it hasn't (yet). I don't put it in my pocket anymore, or in a special camera case...

Casio EXILIM "ZOOM!" EX-Z1050

Advantages: Inane amount of pixels, Easy to handle size, 2.6" display
Disadvantages: Graning in darker areas, No memory card supplied

...Overview: The camera overall exceeds my expectations as a consumer device, here Casio have gone to great lengths to incorporate the latest technology into a small, lightweight and durable piece of equipment. This camera is truly pocketsize, and yet, nothing is compromised by it being yet smaller than the previous models. With the falling prices of technology, having waited for the release of this newer improved, and above all cheaper version of the camera was well worth it. The camera offers an above all superb 10.1 Mega Pixel resolution, resulting in excellent quality imagery, and a range of different settings, meaning that the camera can be applied to any situation to capture the best image possible at almost any desired resolution. Image: With any digital camera, the major selling point, for me, and many prospective...

Review of Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1050

I <3 my Casio Exilim EX-Z700

Advantages: Battery life, picture quality, easy and quick to use, many features, reliable.
Disadvantages: Bright flash, large file sizes.

...The Casio Exilim EX-Z700 is a fantastic camera with very few weaknesses. It is suitably compact and not noticeably heavy yet the screen size is not compromised; the LCD display is usefully large. In addition, the design of the zoom button is incredibly quick and easy to use as well as zooming long distances. There are many different 'best shot' styles including 'backlight' and 'monochrome'. Nevertheless using the automatic 'portrait' function produces good quality photographs for an amateur photographer. It is very easy to flick through the photos stored on the camera and with the flick of a button they are displayed on a calendar to show when they were taken. There are many settings to play around with on the menu, including self timers, sounds etc. Overall the camera is simple to use and rarely needs referal to the instructions...

CASIO EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1050

Advantages: Great design and overall look, excellent image quality
Disadvantages: None so far

...This casio Exilim zoom ex-z1050 is a very high standard camera i found that it was very easy to use although i did find it difficult at first to use as i didnt read the instructions and just cracked on you must read the instructions first. The overall look of this camera is very slick and smart i liked the design as it is very simple and good,Whilst talking about the design i will just like to add that the image screen is a good size as it is not to small. The image quality on this camera is great with a 10.1 megepixel camera you cant go wrong, youre pictures look like somthing from a magazine or a real photograpy. I also found with this camera it resists damages fromg things such as dropping it or splashing it with water. i over all think that this camera i a very good camera for youre money it has great aspects and great...

Casio Exilim zoom ex-z120

Advantages: Excellent value, size and features
Disadvantages: Screen could be larger

..., language, sleep, autopoweroff, rec/play, USB, video out, format, reset. To navigate around there is up, down, left, right and enter keys. As you can tell there are what someone might think are excessive amounts of options. But don't let them overwhelm you, as you use the camera you can experiment with different features at a time. This is all providing you are not a camera expert, then of course I'm sure you would enjoy the vast array of options. If your like me and your not, Casio have handily provided a wheel with yet more options. However these are much easier. You just turn the wheel, which slides easily and safely clicks into place. The wheel includes: a general photo taking mode, voice record, film record, manual exposure, shutter speed AE, aperture AE (the latter 3 I have yet to understand), easy record mode and best shot. It is best...

Casio Exilim Ex-S500, Excellent Camera

Advantages: Robust, easy to use, looks great, large high quality screen, Best Shot scenarios
Disadvantages: Could come with SD card / protective case

...- and the picture is generally decent! This might be because of the anti-shake function it has - It has 3x optical zoom - a must if you intend to zoom in on objects (optical zoom is better than digital zoom) - You can navigate to photos taken by the day/month/year you took them. It provides a calendar which you can click on - and it provides a snapshot of the first picture on each day that you took. - It records video pretty well - There are 33 common scenarios (Best Shot), which you can pick, and it will automatically set up the camera for that scenario, e.g. portrait picture, flowers, candlelight portrait - The camera is extremely robust. I've dropped this while walking, and it's still working as well today as the day I got it. I've also managed to jam the lens - turning it on and turning it back off unjammed the lens (great work Casio...

Review of Casio EXILIM CARD EX-S500

Casio Exilim EX-Z11

Advantages: Small, stylish, easy to use
Disadvantages: No direct upload to PC

...I bought this camera a couple of weeks back and am absolutely delighted with it. Being a complete and utter camera novice I certainly wasn't interested in scrolling through a plethora of technically clever functions to be able to take a decent picture. I just wanted something reasonably simple I could point, press and rely upon after the cheap Praktika I'd been given some time ago as a birthday present kept letting me down by delivering blurred images. This Casio Exilim fits the bill beautifully. It is small, stylish and so easy to use a child could do it. I have tested it out by rattling off a series of shots in varying situations (overcast rainy day, sunshine streaming in through a back-lit window, TV on in a dark room etc.....it even captured the image on the TV and smoke coming out of an ashtray!) and it has delivered each...

Casio Exilim EX-Z120 - A Grab?

Advantages: Value for money. Big LDC screen. User friendly. Variety photographing mode.
Disadvantages: Small view finder. Eat up the battery pretty quickly.

...compared to the old casio I had before was the ability for it to do voice recording. You can just record the voice, or even better, record MPEG movie with voice. The volume is adjustable and so far it has not disappointed me too badly. The quality is OK considering it is not a digital camcorder but nevertheless, I would say it gives a fair quality for a movie. The look of the camera is slick and elegant by its own standard. Not too big and bulky but not too slim and easily lost. It is just at about the right, standard size. The camera is not that heavy and I have yet to test it's durability but based on my experience with casio camera before, i am reassured of the durability of this camera. The only slight downpoint that I notice so far is the use of batteries. It seemed that this camera use up a bit more than the old casio I had. But I...

Review of Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z120

Casio exilim zoom EX-Z1050

Advantages: EASE OF USE
Disadvantages: LACK OF DIRECT CHARGING

...Those looking for a no-nonsense digital camera that doesn't slack on quality won't go far wrong with the EX-Z1050, in my opinion it's one of the best pick up and shoot portables around today and for the price is an absolute bargain.I bought mine to take on holiday and cannot fault it's ease of use and features.Small points such as the lack of direct charging (its a pain that you have to take the battery out to charge it up) or a carry case in the box (bit mean)aren't enough to put you off from the excellent combination of performance and usability, and this camera should appeal to a wide range of photographers. The family had great fun with all the features and gimmics this camera has to offer. What more can I say digital cameras are king and this is one of the best for the money....

Casio EXILIM EX-z500

Advantages: Slim, stylish, large LCD screen, good image performance
Disadvantages: Inconvenient docking station, AVI movie mode

...As a non-camera using techie, I was shopping around for something fairly simple, fairly slick, fairly small and very functional. I got all of that in spades. I was looking at the Pentax Optio S range, the Cannon IXUS range, the Fuji Z1 and Z2 and the Sony Cyber-Shot cameras also. I didn't even think of looking at Casio. They make calculators, don't they? After reading about the Exilim range being very competitive in the slim camera stakes, I had a look at the S500 and the Z500. Both excellent cameras... and reasonable prices too. It was the size of the LCD screen that swung me towards the Z500 though. 2.7"! Massive, when you see it. Anyway, on to the review. I bought the z500 a week ago, with a 512Mb SD card and a carrying case. Initially, after just playing around with it for a few minutes and taking test photos of my feet...
