...Im a first time buyer of a digital camara and i came across the Casio Exilim Z4 and because of the looks, features and the good reviews i decided to buy it. When i got it, it didnt disapoint me because the size was small and compact and also it was very easy to use, considering it was my first digital camara. Althought the 10MB built in memory does look a bit low, you can add extra SD cards so it wasnt a problem. I got this camara for around £254, and i think it was worth every penny as i found it very good and easy to use. The design is also very stylish and you would find a 2 inch LCD screen which mays viewing a lot more easier and the buttons are easy to press and basically well layed out. The Energizer Battery Charger

...I had been intending to purchase a battery charger for quite a while. In fact I had even dropped hints to certain family members around Christmas time, but to no avail. I was recently reminded of this missing piece of equipment in my life when I rediscovered the PC lead to my digital camera. Remembering that a pair of standard batteries lasted for only about 30 photos in this camera I decided that it was certainly time to invest in a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries. I purchased an Energizer CHDCW8 ? 4 battery charger from Argos for just £9.99. This decision was based on several factors, the most important of which was the price and what I considered to be the best value for money. ...Ok, I got one of these a Christmas present this year (2004), and from the start I loved it. The best thing about it is that the renge of feature, the white balance, the zoom feature. Before I continue, a pure digital camera (not optical zoom), is ok but then I preffer to have the ability to have the optical zoom. From the box, Zoom optique 3X, is excellent, even when you go into the digital zoom with 4X. The flash, is sometimes abit anoying, as you think you don't need it but the the camera things it does. The software it comes with (Photo Loader 2.1 and Photohands 1.0). Not the best, the then the best thing is that you don't need to the software, simply plus the camera into it's cradle, plug into the UBS port, and you can copy the images off it, as it sees it as a removable unit (which it is). As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAA batteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries. It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. ...The Uniross x-press 300 is a good charger which supports a range of different battery sizes. I bought this charger last year because I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard so made more sense getting rechargeable batteries rather than spending money on normal batteries every few weeks. I went with Uniross as they make decent rechargeable batteries and are well known for it. This x-press 300 charges AAA, AA & 9V size batteries. It lets you charge 2 or 4 AA/AAA and one 9V batteries of the same type at the same time. It's suitable for AA, AAA and 9V (PP3) NiCd and NiH batteries. To use AAA batteries you simply flip down a little holder within the charger and it will hold the AAA batteries to charge. It doesn't require lengthy reading of the manual before you figure out its basic functions. It is the slimmest camera with a 3x optical zoom. Just about the size of your credit card. That would mean it is also lightweight... The body is made of a metal alloy which is durable. It has withstood some shocks from dropping. The major advantage is battery power savings due to a new technological breakthrough by Casio. It is very user-friendly. If you have basic understanding of how menus work on a PC / Web TV, then you are most able to handle this camera's functions. There are 21 auto settings for different scenes (night, bad weather etc) for the average user... At least you do not have to fiddle much...

Small and Stylish

Advantages: Small, stylish, lightweight, long battery, easy to use, easy to connect to a PC.
Disadvantages: Not great video quality, not very strong, some settings are slightly strange.

...I orginally bought the Exilim Z3, and was very impressed with its size, quality and price. When I managed to break that, I upgraded to the Z4, and am still impressed with the size and quality for the price. The picture quality (4mp) is very impressive, and the quality remains when zooming. The camera itself is very lightweight, and can easily fit into a pocket. The battery life is long, and recharging is very imple, the camera simply slips into its cradle, and recharges itself. This cradle is also used to attach the camera to a PC via USB. I found that the picture quality isn't great compared to similar models made by Sony (although these models are more expensive). Although its not made to be the most durable kit, I thought that Casio could have done a little better in ensuring more srength around the zoom. The plastic cracks...

Awesome, compact camrea with huge LCD

...This little camrea by Casio is outstanding. My favorite part is the Massive 2" LCD screen, and how nicely it is built into the design, leaving just enough room for hte controls. the sound effects are pretty cute, allowing the user to set different ones for when the camra starts up, focuses (at half-shutter) and takes the picture. the half-shutter sound has become very useful to me (i have it set as a frog, ribbiting) because it gets my subjects to turn and look at the camrea, just in time for the picture, however, not expecting it to be a picture (such as when one says "cheese"), and therefore nto having plastic smiles platered on their faces. The zoom function while viewing pictures is very useful, and especiually nice noin the large LCD. i keep have the problem that it zooms into peoples' chests (which makes sense, because they are...
