I was more than a little surprised!

Advantages: Good looking, easy to use and very good image quality.

Casio EXILIM: Usefull? Fun? Worthwhile?

Advantages: Nice design, and good quality pictures
Disadvantages: Hard to use interface, and trouble with pc connection

...It is a very lightweight camera for me, and i love the sleek design. The camera quality is realtively good compared to older exilim digital cameras, and with a larg high resolution screen it gives a modern theme to the camera. However, I am one who regularly uploads my photos onto the computer, and although it gives you instructions on how to do so. the camera would not connect to my pc. I took it back to the store, and they tried connecting it to their dispay computer. this failed. However, i still had a warrantee on it, and they replaced it with a camera which now works perfectly well. I am still not 100% satisfied with thi camera choice becuase there are not many settings on this camera which enable you to drastically change the camera photo. Furthermore, for technology newbies, this camera deems very difficult to use...

...Those looking for a no-nonsense digital camera that doesn't slack on quality won't go far wrong with the EX-Z1050, in my opinion it's one of the best pick up and shoot portables around today and for the price is an absolute bargain.I bought mine to take on holiday and cannot fault it's ease of use and features.Small points such as the lack of direct charging (its a pain that you have to take the battery out to charge it up) or a carry case in the box (bit mean)aren't enough to put you off from the excellent combination of performance and usability, and this camera should appeal to a wide range of photographers.The family had great fun with all the features and gimmics this camera has to offer.What more can I say digital cameras are king and this is one of the best for the money....

...I just bought this camera not so long ago. After playing around and testing out the camera for a while now, I must say it is up to my expectation. Featuring 7.2 megapixels with 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, this camera promise a quality standard picture. The digital zoom is again not very useful but the optical zoom is superb. The viewfinder is a bit on the smaller scale and not very useful but the LCD screen is huge (2.0") and allow you to make the best adjustment and catch the right angle you need. The only thing is to prevent fingerprints and smudges to ruin it - as usual, the common culprit. The buttons and keypad are all comfortable and easy to handle. ...Let me start off by saying, WOW. Who would have guessed that something so compact and relatively cheap for a good camera, could produce top quality and professional looking photographs. As well as the usual point and snap photograph, there are also 38 settings for all variety of options like portrait, scenery, pets, sports, black and white, fireworks, all with individual shutter speeds and colours to give excellent results. The zoom is fantastic and still produces great shots when in absolute full zoom. Also the macro focus setting is amazing, you have to see it to believe it. There are so many snapshot setting that i haven't tried all of them yet and i have had this camera for nearly 6 months.
