...My husband is naturally careless and clumsy.He is famous for forgetting to remove his watch before showering!. , So when i wanted to gift a watch to him , I was very particular about the reliability of the product. Since he is prone to allergy , I had to be careful about the watch straps too while choosing. Casio G shock watch has a 'tough' look and that is the type my husband loves. The case and strap are made of plastic, I chose black colour, though there are grey and i think blue also to choose from. The display is large,clear and striking and has a light blue coloured light. There are buttons on the sides of the watch to adjust the time, day and date settings ,dispalay light and also the world time which is a great advantage if you are travelling!!. It has a daily alarm and also birthday/anniversary reminders...

Advantages: Very good quality graphic calculator
Disadvantages: Speed of 'graph' calculations and lots needed to learn to use it

It seems to be the standard calculator to use now at AS and A level, as I know other sixth forms other than my college who now solely sell these to their students. The look and layout : - The Casio fx-9750G is a quite chunky calculator with dimesnsion of 178mm x 89mm x 21mm, as one might expect of a graphic calculator, but it is not unnattractive to the eye. It comes in an assortment of colours, mine being green, but all (that I know of) have a white cover and front surface. The calculator has some attractive, if pointless, curves in its body, but to be honest, when choosing a calculator I don't think look should have a great deal of influence. ...took the added liberty of photographing moving cars to test shutter speed. This was pretty damn good and the cars, although moving fairly fast, were still clear and defined. A good start. Design. Apple Iphone 3G 8GB

Advantages: A great piece of hardware with unlimited possiblilities.

...I have been a customer of O2 for many years now and so after resisting as long as I could I finally gave in and got the Apple Iphone 3G on contract. I have to say I have no regrets! The Iphone 3G is a completley touchscreen phone with internet capabilities. Not only can the phone connect to wifi signals it is also permanently connected via your network provider, all the while you have signal anyway! I find that the speed of the internet on this phone is sufficient for what I use it for (train times, facebook, emails etc), it get's a bit faster when connected to wifi rather then your network providers internet but to be honest I find the normal 3G speed is fine for me. The great thing about the phone is the applications you can add; the phone can be completly tailored to you and becomes unique for everyone! There are plenty of free apps...

Apple iPhone 3G is simply amazing

Advantages: Push email, iPod function, app store, wireless connectivity, free on O2 contract
Disadvantages: 2MP camera, not able to send MMS, battery life is not as good as it could be.

...When the first iPhone came out, I was not even aware of it until I saw the large queues outside of mobile phone stores. When I read about it I was completely underwhelmed and forgot about it. Then the iPhone 3G came out. This time I was aware of it but I was tied to another contract so I tried to avoid seeing it so as not to get it on impulse. Then a colleague got one... The iPhone 3G is simply fantastic: *I have my personal and work emails pushed to the phone. This saves me lots of time each day as now I check emails while walking home. *The touch screen is very clear and bright and feels good to the touch. ...to type something is surprisingly easy to use & within a few weeks, I began using my thumbs to type. The keyboard can also be changed to suit other languages. I have stuck on an InvisibleShield to prevent it from getting scratched, without having to keep it in a case, as it is quite delicate. I have been very careful with it & it has worked very well for me. Now for the the flaws.... With the Youtube feature, sometimes it does not connect to the internet even when Safari browser is in working order. The 3G symbol must be apparant for it to connect whereas with Safari, only the signal must be sufficient. This is quite annoying, as the 3G symbol is unapparant quite often. Can't really fault the AppStore, only that some of the applications that look really good are quite pricey :( Maps can't always connect to the internet, but...
