Casio Exilim EX-S770 - Poor camera quality, overpriced

Advantages: Nice design
Disadvantages: Bad photo quality, overpriced

...supposed to be an SLR or a top of the range digital camera, but there are far cheaper cameras that'd take better acceptable pictures than this. Almost every person that has been in a photo taken by this camera has commented that the camera makes you look rough and a lot worse than if you looked in a mirror. This is not an exaggeration or people just being vain or paranoid - this camera honestly doesn't do anyone justice. I took the same photo 3 times, one with this camera, one with my camera phone (S500i) and one with Sony Cybershot DSC-T30. The DSC-T30 isn't much more expensive than this camera, but has amazing picture quality and sometimes the photos get mistaken to that taken with an SLR. The picture I took was of a friend and in the DSC-T30 picture, the image was sharp, realistic colours and was a generally nice pretty picture. On the camera...

...I purchased my Casio duty free at the airport in Oct 05 for a reasonable price, I had asked which camera offered a combination of both useable features and a high quality image for an affordable price, this was the camera the sales person suggested. The camera itself is tiny, easily fitting into the palm of a hand. It boasts a 5 MP image capture which in my experience is more than enough for a general camera user and easy to use features. ...took the added liberty of photographing moving cars to test shutter speed. This was pretty damn good and the cars, although moving fairly fast, were still clear and defined. A good start. Design. ...using the (S to D) button. This is so useful in exams and means that you don't have to remember what your fractions are in decimal forms (at least not for the calculator paper anyway...) I reckon this calculator is pretty robust as I am quite rubbish at looking after my possessions and this is always rattling around in my bag and hasn't broken as of yet. However my brother also has one and has managed to break his screen by stabbing it with a compass... so as long as you don't do something stupid like that I am sure it will be fine! All in all, this is a brilliant calculator for pre GCSE and GCSE maths as it includes everything you will need. If you are planning on going on to further level maths in A level or similar then I would recommend also getting a more complex (and unfortunately a lot more expensive) graphical calculator as there...

The Ultimate Digital Camera: EXILIM S2

...Let me just cut to the chase. Their needs no introduction- the Casio Exilim S2 is the ultimate camera. The EX S2 has got to be the best digital camera ever produced- unless you compare it with cameras of triple the price! I'm not saying that it overcomes the latest technology of all cameras. It is just an amazing camera that suits its price. You will not find a better camera that is cheaper than this one, unless you are looking at a used one. Proffesional photographers...look for another camera. This is obviously NOT a camera for proffesionals, as it does not withhold enough pixels to suite their needs. So as i just said- LOOK AWAY. ...The Casio fx-992s is a scientific calculator, just so you know what I am talking about. From Casio's current range of scientific calculators, I think this is the best of them all. The next step up is the graphical calculators. The calculator itself cost me about £15 when I bought it about 3 years ago. It is still in good condition and works great. Quite good value for money. Before getting onto the functions of the calculator one thing you do notice about this calculator is its size. It is not a pocket calculator, since it must accomodate all the electronics for a scientific calculator. It's depth with the lid on the back is just 13mm or just 9mm without, which beats pretty much any other calculator around and it fits quite nicely in my pencil case. The Other dimensions are about the same as other calculators as it must fit atleast...
