Official Wii Component Video Cable
Advantages: Far better picture than standard composite, better looking games
Disadvantages: Expensive, Only needed for larger screens 32" or greater
...After the release of the little white bundle of joy on the 8/12/2006 people were given a composite cable to show off their new shinny new console.
AV enthusiasts all know a composite signal is the poor quality option for showing video on their TV's - what people really want is RGB or Component video input.
As console manufactures are out to make a profit they usually bundle the cheapest and most compatible option with the console and then release upgrades to that product for people who need or want it. Nintendo understand this and have released two video upgrade options - the Wii RGB cable or the Wii Component cable.
Lets get things straight from the off, The Nintendo Wii is not a High Definition Console, What this cable does offer is a enhanced image resolution of 480p.
I finally got hold of the component video cable after...

Casio Calculator
Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

Wii component cable- Well worth the money
Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle.
Disadvantages: quite expensive for a simple console improvement
...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii.
Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle.
With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined. It gets rid of the hassle of having to turn the contrast back down after playing on the Wii and improves the overall gaming experiance. Another bonus is that on your HD TV, this cable plugs into...

The GAMEware component cable spices up the Wii's HD graphics.
Advantages: Improves the graphical quality of games, Cheaper than the official cable.
Disadvantages: I suppose some people will unfairly compare the Wii and the 360/PS3 graphics and be disappointed?
...Having previously played my Wii on a regular old television I was more than happy with the graphics in game. However upon moving house and purchasing a Samsung LCD TV which is HD compatible, I figured buying a component cable couldn?t hurt and I had heard good things about its effect upon games. I did not have the money at the time to purchase the official Nintendo one, and when talking about it with the kind and helpful assistants in GAME, they assured me theirs was just as good and a fraction of the price. I had never been let down by them before so I bought it and went home straight away to see the effect it would have, especially on games with already spectacular graphics like Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.
Difference in Picture Quality
Being unsure of the effect it would have, I performed a blind test with a friend...

Casio the wonder calculator!
Advantages: Reliable, Long battery life and very handy!
Disadvantages: Long mathmatical equation inputting not so good.
...This Casio calculator has been at my side for approximately at least 5years now, and is in more demand now than previous use. I have used this calculator in 3 main areas.
1. General GCSE
2. Chemistry and Biology A-level and now
3. Chemistry degree (first year only so far?)
GCSE:
Harking back to the good ole days (why are they called the good ole days? Someone please tell me why!) My calculator joined me in my quest of maths at the tender age of 13, where the most advanced calculations it was asked to do was to deal with are such aspects as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, powers and bracketed equations. These are the basics of most maths until a level maths, and on these small calculations it doesn?t fail. One would think that if it did it wouldn?t really be a good calculator! (By the way...

Casio fx-83EX is a great school calculator!
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
...will be some useful functions on these type of calculators (like solving quadratic equation and drawing out graph transformations etc.) that you cannot do on the Casio fx-83EX. But even now, at university, i still keep this calculator as it is so easy to use and has useful functions that you sometimes don't even get on the very expensive calculators!
I would definitely recommend this product!
Another last note is to say that to be honest, you don't even need to bother with the instruction manual as it is so simple to use and it is a commonly used calculator in schools so the teachers are bound to know how to do everything!...

Casio MX8V is as easy as 1 2 3!
Advantages: Robust, reliable with big keys
Disadvantages: No complicated functions.
...When I was at school we had to have scientific calculators- you know the sort, loads of buttons and functions that you could never remember how to use. My children now both have these types floating around inside their schoolbags somewhere but whenever I needed to use a calculator I could never find one! Eventually I tired of trying to use the calculator on my PC or phone and decided to buy myself a proper calculator.
The choice of calculators everywhere seemed overwhelming but when I thought about it I really didn't need anything too complicated. I just needed a basic machine for working out my finances etc. I had a look in the Argos catalogue and decided to opt for the Casio MX8V. I had owned Casio calculators in the past and been happy with them and it looked nice and simple! It cost about £5 when I bought it in 2007 and I have...

The casio calc
Advantages: Very good quality graphic calculator
Disadvantages: Speed of 'graph' calculations and lots needed to learn to use it
...The Casio fx-9750G is the calculator I now use at college. It seems to be the standard calculator to use now at AS and A level, as I know other sixth forms other than my college who now solely sell these to their students.
The look and layout : -
The Casio fx-9750G is a quite chunky calculator with dimesnsion of 178mm x 89mm x 21mm, as one might expect of a graphic calculator, but it is not unnattractive to the eye. It comes in an assortment of colours, mine being green, but all (that I know of) have a white cover and front surface. The calculator has some attractive, if pointless, curves in its body, but to be honest, when choosing a calculator I don't think look should have a great deal of influence. The layout of the calculator is very good. The screen, dimensions 36mm x 62mm, give ample room to carry out calculations and is...

Casio FX 85 ES
Advantages: The new casio natural display and solar power
Disadvantages: I'll explain in the review
...Ok the Casio FX 85 ES is simply put the best calculator available on the market that can be used in exams. Casio have recently been working with the Joint Examination board to ensure it's new "student" calculators do not break the rules-so no worries there students!
So this natural display-what is it? Basically it allows you to type on the screen as if you were writing it in your book, for example squares roots are real on there and you can do fractions properly. I find it incredibly easy to use and it has gained me an A so far in my A-levels (i'm not that clever honest).
Personally i wouldn't read the instructions-merely use them for reference and work everything out on your own-it's easy enough.
The calculator boasts all the normal functions including memory storage, radians degrees and gradians functions...

Casio G shock Watch,for toughness,durability and comfort
Advantages: shock resistant,water proof,durable
Disadvantages: might not be suitable for evening/formal wear, slightly expensive
...My husband is naturally careless and clumsy. He is famous for forgetting to remove his watch before showering!. , So when i wanted to gift a watch to him ,
I was very particular about the reliability of the product. Since he is prone to allergy , I had to be careful about the watch straps too while choosing.
Casio G shock watch has a 'tough' look and that is the type my husband loves.
The case and strap are made of plastic, I chose black colour, though there are
grey and i think blue also to choose from. The display is large, clear and striking and has a light blue coloured light. There are buttons on the sides of the watch to adjust the time, day and date settings ,dispalay light and also the world time which is a great advantage if you are travelling!!. It has a daily alarm and also birthday/anniversary reminders...
