Dual Power Casio Calc

Advantages: Large buttons, and well layed out Scientific section
Disadvantages: Costly calculator, hard to set up

...A twin powered Scientific calculator, excellent for the school or work. Includes the standard set up of keys, from 1 to 9, +,-,x,/. This calculator includes a scientific section that caters for all eventualities. With 'square' and 'square root'; 'sin, cos, tan' and all the other buttons you expect on such a calculator. So all in all it is a very well equip calculator. Reliability, well mine has never gone wrong. I've had it 7 years. Worked wonders, has seen me through GCSE and A Level. The screen is a nice color and easily readable. I know of several of my friends who have this same calculator, they report no problems either. It is very reliable, unlikely to go wrong. Also the twin power assures you that it will never 'die' on you in times of need. The light needed for the solar power is very small, a reasonably dark room would...

Casio Calculator

Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of

...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price). The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus. The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys. This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

Casio the wonder calculator!

Advantages: Reliable, Long battery life and very handy!
Disadvantages: Long mathmatical equation inputting not so good.

...This Casio calculator has been at my side for approximately at least 5years now, and is in more demand now than previous use. I have used this calculator in 3 main areas. 1. General GCSE 2. Chemistry and Biology A-level and now 3. Chemistry degree (first year only so far?) GCSE: Harking back to the good ole days (why are they called the good ole days? Someone please tell me why!) My calculator joined me in my quest of maths at the tender age of 13, where the most advanced calculations it was asked to do was to deal with are such aspects as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, powers and bracketed equations. These are the basics of most maths until a level maths, and on these small calculations it doesn?t fail. One would think that if it did it wouldn?t really be a good calculator! (By the way...

Casio fx-83EX is a great school calculator!

Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review

...hard or stab at them to get them to work which is always a positive and they don't accidently press when you only touch them lightly which is also a good thing. The button faces are actually very ergonomic as your finger seems to fit onto them very nicely and they have a sort of 'soft touch' feel to them. The buttons themselves are mainly black or navy with bold white writing which are easily readable which is useful. This calculator can carry out all the tasks that you will need for a GCSE Maths exam including standard form ( the X 10 to the power of x button) and basic trigonometry questions involving cos, tan and sin and also the inverse of these functions! Another REALLY great feature which is available on this calculator and not on some other similar models is the fact that you can easily convert decimals to fractions and vice versa by...

Casio MX8V is as easy as 1 2 3!

Advantages: Robust, reliable with big keys
Disadvantages: No complicated functions.

...When I was at school we had to have scientific calculators- you know the sort, loads of buttons and functions that you could never remember how to use. My children now both have these types floating around inside their schoolbags somewhere but whenever I needed to use a calculator I could never find one! Eventually I tired of trying to use the calculator on my PC or phone and decided to buy myself a proper calculator. The choice of calculators everywhere seemed overwhelming but when I thought about it I really didn't need anything too complicated. I just needed a basic machine for working out my finances etc. I had a look in the Argos catalogue and decided to opt for the Casio MX8V. I had owned Casio calculators in the past and been happy with them and it looked nice and simple! It cost about £5 when I bought it in 2007 and I have...

Casio FX 85 ES

Advantages: The new casio natural display and solar power
Disadvantages: I'll explain in the review

...Ok the Casio FX 85 ES is simply put the best calculator available on the market that can be used in exams. Casio have recently been working with the Joint Examination board to ensure it's new "student" calculators do not break the rules-so no worries there students! So this natural display-what is it? Basically it allows you to type on the screen as if you were writing it in your book, for example squares roots are real on there and you can do fractions properly. I find it incredibly easy to use and it has gained me an A so far in my A-levels (i'm not that clever honest). Personally i wouldn't read the instructions-merely use them for reference and work everything out on your own-it's easy enough. The calculator boasts all the normal functions including memory storage, radians degrees and gradians functions...

Casio Calculator

Advantages: Functions, colour, 2 way power
Disadvantages: too complex to use

...I bought this calculator for my A level examinations. It is terribly handy, I do a lot of maths and be it calculus, vectors, complex numbers or statistics, this calculator will help you a lot. Not only does it boast 403 functions, and most of the keys look like that should be on a UFOs spaceship, if you read the handbook and know how to access and use the functions it is great. These functions are not ones that allow you to cheat ( sadly :P) but they do provide a good basis to check your answers, which can be very valuable when you have no clue whether you good be right or not. Also it comes with a solar panel, providing two way power, meaning you dont have to be scared about whether it would stop in the middle of an exam....

The casio calc

Advantages: Very good quality graphic calculator
Disadvantages: Speed of 'graph' calculations and lots needed to learn to use it

...The Casio fx-9750G is the calculator I now use at college. It seems to be the standard calculator to use now at AS and A level, as I know other sixth forms other than my college who now solely sell these to their students. The look and layout : - The Casio fx-9750G is a quite chunky calculator with dimesnsion of 178mm x 89mm x 21mm, as one might expect of a graphic calculator, but it is not unnattractive to the eye. It comes in an assortment of colours, mine being green, but all (that I know of) have a white cover and front surface. The calculator has some attractive, if pointless, curves in its body, but to be honest, when choosing a calculator I don't think look should have a great deal of influence. The layout of the calculator is very good. The screen, dimensions 36mm x 62mm, give ample room to carry out calculations and is...

Casio G shock Watch,for toughness,durability and comfort

Advantages: shock resistant,water proof,durable
Disadvantages: might not be suitable for evening/formal wear, slightly expensive

...My husband is naturally careless and clumsy. He is famous for forgetting to remove his watch before showering!. , So when i wanted to gift a watch to him , I was very particular about the reliability of the product. Since he is prone to allergy , I had to be careful about the watch straps too while choosing. Casio G shock watch has a 'tough' look and that is the type my husband loves. The case and strap are made of plastic, I chose black colour, though there are grey and i think blue also to choose from. The display is large, clear and striking and has a light blue coloured light. There are buttons on the sides of the watch to adjust the time, day and date settings ,dispalay light and also the world time which is a great advantage if you are travelling!!. It has a daily alarm and also birthday/anniversary reminders...

Power of a Woman

Advantages: Great tracks, harmonies
Disadvantages: None

...Eternal - Power of a Woman One of my favourite girl bands from old were Eternal (this is probably showing my age a bit but oh well). They were popular before The Spice Girls, Girls Aloud etc and I think one of the reasons why they were successful was because they could actually sing and had some lovely harmonies, with beautiful voices that all worked well together. They were also all very pretty as well so I'm sure this added to their success. Eternal were formed in 1992 and eventually ceased as a band around the year 2000. The group consisted of four members, Easther and Vernie Bennett who were sisters, Kelle Bryan and Louise Nurding. Louise Nurding is now probably the most famous of the quartet as she was fairly successful as a solo artist and went on to marry the footballer Jaime Rednapp. She still does some television work as...
