Getting Your Kid Into Digital Cameras

Advantages: Features Like Any Regular Digital Camera
Disadvantages: 16 MB Internal Memory and No Zoom Capabilities

...No digital camera review on CIAO would be complete without a few entries about cameras designed for kids. After all, kids are almost universally enthusiastic about taking pictures. And parents with a love of photography often pass down their passion to their children. But digital cameras are not always kid-friendly, due to fragile construction, price, or complicated menus and buttons. The newest trend in children's electronics is a group of digital cameras made especially for small children. These cameras are easy to hold, come in bright colors that kids love, and have many of the same features as grown-up digital cameras. Kids love them. The VTech KidiZoom Digital Camera is one of the top digital cameras for kids. This camera was made with fun in mind. Kids like the KidiZoom's large LCD screen and the onboard photo editing options...

Casio Calculator

Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of

...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price). The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus. The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys. This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

Casio Exilim - A truly excellent camera

Advantages: Quality, Reliable, Stylish
Disadvantages: Hard to find in the UK

..., Photohands, Ulead Movie Wizard ~ Included Accessories ~ Carrying strap Cradle stand USB cable A/V cable Power Cable Power Device 1 x Li-ion rechargeable battery ~ Personal Experience ~ I purchased this camera in Germany whilst on holiday about 5 years ago and have yet to see anywhere in the UK selling this model. At the time, this was a top of the range camera and there was no other that could match its 2.5" screen size. Over the years it has had lots and lots of use and abuse but has withstanded it all very well indeed. The quality photos are still as good as most new cameras when compared on a PC and it is now very rare to get an any where near affordable camera with a rechargable battery that you do not have to take out of the camera to charge up. With this Casio, I just sit it on its docking station (a mini usb connector) plug it...

Casio Exilim EX-S770 - Poor camera quality, overpriced

Advantages: Nice design
Disadvantages: Bad photo quality, overpriced

...I'm afraid to say there aren't many positive things I can say about this camera and I wish I'd never bought it. The nicest thing about it though is the design, which is one of the first things that attracted me to it. It's very slim and stylish and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It looks like it should be a good camera, but the descriptions, images and reviews of it are very deceiving. Considering the high price of this camera, the picture quality is awful. My camera phone, which is 2MP, is capable of taking better photographs than this camera. There is no point in macro being on this camera, because you have to be so far away from the object before it focuses that it isn't even considered a macro shot anymore. The photos rarely come out sharp and I've never taken a photo I've liked on this camera. I know it's not...

CASIO QV-70 DIGITAL CAMERA - Easy, Inexpensive, & Excellent Photos

Advantages: Great compact digital camera & inexpensive
Disadvantages: It uses batteries quickly

...I bought my CASIO QV-70 a little over a year ago and I have used it more that I ever thought possible. I sell books on Ebay and I use it to take photos of all my merchandise. The camera cost only $99.95 US and it has proved itself a true bargain. ~~~~~ The CASIO QV-70 is very compact and easy to handle. There are not many buttons: this is an older model yet still available in stores and over the Internet. The buttons are easy to understand and the manual that came with the camera is very instructive. ~~~~~ On the back of my camera is an LCD screen which I may opt to turn on or off while photographing. Keeping it off saves battery life and extends my use. It does use a lot of batteries but don't let that keep you from buying it. You may also purchase an adaptor for about $39.95 US and an adaptor is great for home use...

Review of Casio QV-70 Digital Camera

Another great casio Camera!

Advantages: 10 megapixel, Easy to use, great looks!
Disadvantages: Expensive

...This camera is the highest resolution "ultra compact" that I have seen. I paid just over £200 pounds for it on ebay, but i must say I was not disappointed. Its features include 10.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom lens, a large 2.8" LCD display, VGA sized movie mode with audio, and anti-shake technology- all contained within a sleek all metal body. Like all Casio Exlims this camera has great ergonomics. It weighs about 140g, and measures 9.2cm (W) x 5.84cm (H) x 2.24 cm (D). Despite appearing to be small, it was easy to use with my large hands with an easy to use zoom control around the shutter button. The 2.8-inch LCD is the only viewfinder, and is used to compose and review your photos, and navigate the menu system. This is a lovely display that takes up almost the entire back of the camera. It works well outdoors...

Review of Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000

Casio Exilim Ex-S500, Excellent Camera

Advantages: Robust, easy to use, looks great, large high quality screen, Best Shot scenarios
Disadvantages: Could come with SD card / protective case

...- and the picture is generally decent! This might be because of the anti-shake function it has - It has 3x optical zoom - a must if you intend to zoom in on objects (optical zoom is better than digital zoom) - You can navigate to photos taken by the day/month/year you took them. It provides a calendar which you can click on - and it provides a snapshot of the first picture on each day that you took. - It records video pretty well - There are 33 common scenarios (Best Shot), which you can pick, and it will automatically set up the camera for that scenario, e.g. portrait picture, flowers, candlelight portrait - The camera is extremely robust. I've dropped this while walking, and it's still working as well today as the day I got it. I've also managed to jam the lens - turning it on and turning it back off unjammed the lens (great work Casio...

Review of Casio EXILIM CARD EX-S500

An alternative to your Traditional Camera at last

Advantages: A good digital camera
Disadvantages: image storage

...The days of dark rooms, red lights and wash solution seem to be fading fast from the realms of the Amateur Photographer. This is because the digital age has finally caught up with the Photograghy brigade and given it a wake up call. Soon, Negatives will be as old fashioned as wax cylinders was to Vinyl or audio Cassettes were to CDs. The Modern Camera will be relying on Megabytes for storage as opposed to 35mm film cases. Of course we already have the facility to use digital cameras today but they lack the comparable prices of our traditional types. A decent 35mm film camera can cost you £200-£300 as opposed to your digital equivalent at 4 times that. Well I have stumbled across a digital camera that offers superior picture quality for only £450. Not much more than a decent 35mm camera. Casio have often be remembered as...

Casio the wonder calculator!

Advantages: Reliable, Long battery life and very handy!
Disadvantages: Long mathmatical equation inputting not so good.

...This Casio calculator has been at my side for approximately at least 5years now, and is in more demand now than previous use. I have used this calculator in 3 main areas. 1. General GCSE 2. Chemistry and Biology A-level and now 3. Chemistry degree (first year only so far?) GCSE: Harking back to the good ole days (why are they called the good ole days? Someone please tell me why!) My calculator joined me in my quest of maths at the tender age of 13, where the most advanced calculations it was asked to do was to deal with are such aspects as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, powers and bracketed equations. These are the basics of most maths until a level maths, and on these small calculations it doesn?t fail. One would think that if it did it wouldn?t really be a good calculator! (By the way...
