CASIO Mini hand held TV
Advantages: Small, low price, durable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Small screen one speaker
...I bought the Casio TV 980 for times when I am out and about, either fishing or out in the sun in the garden.
I bought the mini TV online from ebuyer at a cost of £39.99 including VAT, although its not the biggest TV or the biggest screen it is the only one I could find priced below £50.
I didn’t want to pay more, as it is just a fun item, which does the job and didn’t require a top techie TV.
The Television has a 2.3 '' screen which operates at a frequency of 50 Hertz, the TV is sort off basic it only has one speaker for the mono sound it is probably to small to cater for two speakers and wouldn’t have effective use of them.
In technical terms (of the instructions) the screen is 2.3" Colour Screen with 39,600 Pixels Display, it is a bright and clear picture with Ti-STN Technology, I found out it is Anit...

Casio TV-970 LCD TV Review
Advantages: Portable, durable and nice design
Disadvantages: In-built speakers drain battery power
...Well, how can I describe this mini TV in one word? Brilliant. I went to get my post one morning and found a package on the floor. I'd won this little beauty. I've had it now for around 4 months and love it.
The 2.3" LCD screen is very clear and the colours are very vivid, even on a less that great signal. It provides a sleek design of silver and wavy lines with clear labels for all 5 buttons and notches.
The stand at the back comes out and allows it to sit on your desk at just the right angle without slipping. I've left it on my desk before and it's a nice little addition when the power cuts out and your other TVs don't work.
The in-built speaker is very powerful and can become quite loud, which is excellent except for the fact that it seems to drain the batteries pretty quickly. This can be averted by plugging in some...

Casio MS-8V Calculator
Advantages: Robust design, easy to use
Disadvantages: None
...Working in the motor trade, there are many tools that you need, a telephone, a computer and a good calculator! Mostly I put it down to my age, but a lot of the calculators on the market call for the user to have a PHD in physics!
I for one when using a calculator look for ease of use. I'm not the type of guy who needs a computer to tell me what the time is in New York or the exchange rate in Zambia! The point I am trying to make is that, for the job I do (Parts Manager at a franchised car dealership); I need little more than a calculator to add, subtract, divide and multiply.
The Casio MS-8V does the job rather well, and that's good enough for me. I don't want to belittle my job as it can get a bit stressful at times, so the ease of use of the calculator makes MY job easier.

Casio Calculator
Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

Casio the wonder calculator!
Advantages: Reliable, Long battery life and very handy!
Disadvantages: Long mathmatical equation inputting not so good.
...This Casio calculator has been at my side for approximately at least 5years now, and is in more demand now than previous use. I have used this calculator in 3 main areas.
1. General GCSE
2. Chemistry and Biology A-level and now
3. Chemistry degree (first year only so far?)
GCSE:
Harking back to the good ole days (why are they called the good ole days? Someone please tell me why!) My calculator joined me in my quest of maths at the tender age of 13, where the most advanced calculations it was asked to do was to deal with are such aspects as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, powers and bracketed equations. These are the basics of most maths until a level maths, and on these small calculations it doesn?t fail. One would think that if it did it wouldn?t really be a good calculator! (By the way...

NME TV
Advantages: Great music
Disadvantages: Too many advers
...I'm an individual who enjoys a good bit of music. Any genre will generally do if it's 'good' - by that I mean not some terrible cheesy pop song, but generally I'll stick to my indie/rock malarkey. So it's ideal then that the New Music Express has introduced their own TV station - NME TV...
Operated by CSC Media Group, it replaced the music channel 'Minx' in November 2007 - which is odd as I believe Minx was more a pop music channel that indie. Upon it's launch, the first song it played was 'Up The Bracket' by the Libertines, so a perfect indication of what this channel would be playing.
Like with all music channels, it's input is predominantly music videos - along with copious amounts of adverts - but it does also contain special shows, often highlighting bands with albums recently released or out soon either picking their...

Casio fx-83EX is a great school calculator!
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
...will be some useful functions on these type of calculators (like solving quadratic equation and drawing out graph transformations etc.) that you cannot do on the Casio fx-83EX. But even now, at university, i still keep this calculator as it is so easy to use and has useful functions that you sometimes don't even get on the very expensive calculators!
I would definitely recommend this product!
Another last note is to say that to be honest, you don't even need to bother with the instruction manual as it is so simple to use and it is a commonly used calculator in schools so the teachers are bound to know how to do everything!...

Casio MX8V is as easy as 1 2 3!
Advantages: Robust, reliable with big keys
Disadvantages: No complicated functions.
...When I was at school we had to have scientific calculators- you know the sort, loads of buttons and functions that you could never remember how to use. My children now both have these types floating around inside their schoolbags somewhere but whenever I needed to use a calculator I could never find one! Eventually I tired of trying to use the calculator on my PC or phone and decided to buy myself a proper calculator.
The choice of calculators everywhere seemed overwhelming but when I thought about it I really didn't need anything too complicated. I just needed a basic machine for working out my finances etc. I had a look in the Argos catalogue and decided to opt for the Casio MX8V. I had owned Casio calculators in the past and been happy with them and it looked nice and simple! It cost about £5 when I bought it in 2007 and I have...

The casio calc
Advantages: Very good quality graphic calculator
Disadvantages: Speed of 'graph' calculations and lots needed to learn to use it
...The Casio fx-9750G is the calculator I now use at college. It seems to be the standard calculator to use now at AS and A level, as I know other sixth forms other than my college who now solely sell these to their students.
The look and layout : -
The Casio fx-9750G is a quite chunky calculator with dimesnsion of 178mm x 89mm x 21mm, as one might expect of a graphic calculator, but it is not unnattractive to the eye. It comes in an assortment of colours, mine being green, but all (that I know of) have a white cover and front surface. The calculator has some attractive, if pointless, curves in its body, but to be honest, when choosing a calculator I don't think look should have a great deal of influence. The layout of the calculator is very good. The screen, dimensions 36mm x 62mm, give ample room to carry out calculations and is...

Casio FX 85 ES
Advantages: The new casio natural display and solar power
Disadvantages: I'll explain in the review
...Ok the Casio FX 85 ES is simply put the best calculator available on the market that can be used in exams. Casio have recently been working with the Joint Examination board to ensure it's new "student" calculators do not break the rules-so no worries there students!
So this natural display-what is it? Basically it allows you to type on the screen as if you were writing it in your book, for example squares roots are real on there and you can do fractions properly. I find it incredibly easy to use and it has gained me an A so far in my A-levels (i'm not that clever honest).
Personally i wouldn't read the instructions-merely use them for reference and work everything out on your own-it's easy enough.
The calculator boasts all the normal functions including memory storage, radians degrees and gradians functions...
