The Casio F-91W: For those who want a good well-priced watch
Advantages: Cheap, reliable, simple
Disadvantages: The alarm is quite quiet
...I must say that the Casio F-91W isn?t the sexiest or snazziest of watches. It isn?t the sort or watch you?d see Kanye West or some other King of Bling ?rocking?, but it is a wonderful watch that is great for those of us who choose their watches based on their practicality.
Although I say the F-91W isn?t particularly sexy, it is far from an attractive watch. Some, myself among them, believe this to be a beauty. The strap isn?t too thin or think in width and the face isn?t busy to the point of excess. The face simply displays the time in digital form with a blue trimming around the edge. It also features the word Casio at the top with Water Resistant at the bottom. It is very comfortable but you may find yourself needing to loosen it if you start to get hot. The physical specifications in more detail are as follows:
-Scale; Case...

Casio G shock Watch,for toughness,durability and comfort
Advantages: shock resistant,water proof,durable
Disadvantages: might not be suitable for evening/formal wear, slightly expensive
...My husband is naturally careless and clumsy. He is famous for forgetting to remove his watch before showering!. , So when i wanted to gift a watch to him ,
I was very particular about the reliability of the product. Since he is prone to allergy , I had to be careful about the watch straps too while choosing.
Casio G shock watch has a 'tough' look and that is the type my husband loves.
The case and strap are made of plastic, I chose black colour, though there are
grey and i think blue also to choose from. The display is large, clear and striking and has a light blue coloured light. There are buttons on the sides of the watch to adjust the time, day and date settings ,dispalay light and also the world time which is a great advantage if you are travelling!!. It has a daily alarm and also birthday/anniversary reminders...

A watch that tells the time......and does not do much else!
Advantages: Very cheap, slim design, lightweight, lasts a long time
Disadvantages: Only water resistant - not waterproof
...When most people think about Casio digital watches they recall models such as the G-Shock which is very tough and has lots of features or those in the Sports range that are suitable for diving and measure various things such as barometric pressure and temperature. This Casio watch however does none of those things and has no such features! It is probably one of the cheapest Casio watches available and has the fewest features!
Who is this watch for?
I remember having a very similar watch about 20 years ago when I was at school and the fact that it is very cheap makes it a good watch for kids who have grown out of watches with cartoon character designs and want something more serious-looking. It only has a few features and is therefore easy to use too. It is also surprisingly durable given how cheap it is.
It is also suitable...

More than just time on your hands
Advantages: Just about does anything
Disadvantages: Doesn't cook the breakfast though !!!
...gadget freaks out there, just like me..I bought mine in July and have just about road tested it, now I wonder how I ever managed without it ..!!!
The altimeter is very much affected by the barometric pressure, so it is variable and must not be relied upon for any precise accuracy by any aviators out there, or in fact anyone who depends upon absolute altitude accuracy, it is merely an indication of altitude, this also would apply to the temperature guage, I subtract about 15 - 20 degrees F from the actual reading to get a more accurate reading, in fact Casio recommend that you take the watch off and allow it to stand on its own for several minutes to get that reading, the compass works on Magnetic north so if you are trying to work it around equipment that work on magnetic fields like speakers and TV's etc...then you would not have...

Casio Calculator
Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...

A watch for the 21st century
Advantages: Technical features, no batteries, accurate, good looking, Japanese
Disadvantages: None at present
...I once took my battery operated watch to a well known high street jeweller to have the battery replaced, I was told it would only take 5 minutes & cost £4.99, it actually took 30 minutes & cost me £9.99 as they had problems with the battery. When I took it home the small stop watch function wouldn't work & the built in alarm didn't work either. I took it back & explained it was OK before they touched it, but they refused to accept liability so I was left with a watch that never worked properly again.
On another occasion another jeweller presented with a different watch stated that the movement was faulty & would cost approx £75.00 to replace, I left the shop & purchased a battery for 99p from Maplin, fitted it myself (this one had a small slot on the back to access the battery) & has worked perfectly since.
To say I have lost faith...

Disadvantages: You just try and change the battery
...G-Shock
+Introduction
Well Casio produce the G-Shock (and Baby-G) range, very well i might add, was first made in 1983 with their fist model, the DW5000C. Each G-shock watch was originally made to meet the 'Triple 10' criteria, which consisted of a 10 Metre Fall (shock resistance), 10 bar (100 m water resistance) and 10 years use. It was made so that it could fall in any direction of 10 metres and survive the impact, not just the outer shell, but all the internal components.
The G-Shock today has exceeded those original targets, with 20 bar (200m water resist), bashed against concrete slabs/trees etc (god knows i threw it against the floor my hardest and it didnt break) and over 10 years use so far. I have bashed and knocked mine on various occasions, at moment i work in an outdoor charity centre and its hit loads of tree but...

The environment friendly watch
Advantages: Solar driven watch, no battery required.
Disadvantages: None that I know of.
...My last watch has been with me for more than 10 years. It has been reliable until the past couple of years. It started mis-behaving, require constant battery changes, (a sure sign that the watch is dying), and frequently stopping whenever I fly.
So last Christmas, I decided to buy myself an eco-driven citizen watch. An eco-drive watch uses light energy to run itself. The light source can be sun (solar) or an incandescent lamp (such as in an office environment). The watch uses a solar panel, in this case, its the face dial, to convert light into electrical energy which is stored in a special energy cell. This allows the watch to last a long time without seeing any light, suitable for those of us who hibernate (Ha!); for those of us with very long winters and constantly wearing long sleeve clothes or just forgetting to charge it up...

This watch is BIG
Advantages: Looks, toughness
Disadvantages: Too big, not enough functions built in
...I'm the type of person who can see a picture of something and set my heart on it before I've ever tried it or seen it in real life, this is what happened with my G-Shock Watch.
I just loved the look of these watches, they've got a really rugged surfer look about them. I like gadgets so I was considering the other watches Casio make that have Barometers, temperature and depth gauges built in. But at the end of the day I decided the classic G-Shock is the best looking watch they do.
The first time I ever saw the watch in real life was when I bought it, the shop assistant asked if I wanted to try it on. I thought for a minute, why would I want to do that I'd already made up my mind. I did try it on however and I was a bit surprised this thing was huge. It had 2 straps, an inner soft band and an outer webbing strap with a large plastic...

indestructable
Advantages: great watch
Disadvantages: none
...i have the puppy version of this watch in pink, this is a great watch for anyone who loves dogs, this watch is very tough and will take quite a battering, i know mine has been through more than any other watch has ever managed to sustain and is still going strong.
This is a great watch for telling the time with, you have the option of 12 or 24 hour format, the display has the time displayed in hours, minutes, seconds aswell as the date displayed too, the month, date and year. there is a picture of a puppy in the backlight of the watch and there are puppy paw prints on the strap, this along with the pink colour makes this a very tough and elegant looking watch for women.
It has a battery life of 3 years, the calender on the watch goes up to the year 2099 which is way further than i expect the watch to last no matter how shock proof...
