Getting Your Kid Into Digital Cameras
Advantages: Features Like Any Regular Digital Camera
Disadvantages: 16 MB Internal Memory and No Zoom Capabilities
...No digital camera review on CIAO would be complete without a few entries about cameras designed for kids. After all, kids are almost universally enthusiastic about taking pictures. And parents with a love of photography often pass down their passion to their children. But digital cameras are not always kid-friendly, due to fragile construction, price, or complicated menus and buttons. The newest trend in children's electronics is a group of digital cameras made especially for small children. These cameras are easy to hold, come in bright colors that kids love, and have many of the same features as grown-up digital cameras. Kids love them.
The VTech KidiZoom Digital Camera is one of the top digital cameras for kids. This camera was made with fun in mind. Kids like the KidiZoom's large LCD screen and the onboard photo editing options...

CASIO QV-70 DIGITAL CAMERA - Easy, Inexpensive, & Excellent Photos
Advantages: Great compact digital camera & inexpensive
Disadvantages: It uses batteries quickly
.... ~~~~~
The camera came with the software needed to successfully and easily transfer the digital photos to the computer and it is also compatible with Adobe Photoshop, which I prefer. If you need a compact and inexpensive digital camera, buy the CASIO QV-70. You WON'T be disappointed. I even dropped it once and it was not damaged in any way. I am very satisfied with the quality of this product....

An alternative to your Traditional Camera at last
Advantages: A good digital camera
Disadvantages: image storage
...The days of dark rooms, red lights and wash solution seem to be fading fast from the realms of the Amateur Photographer.
This is because the digital age has finally caught up with the Photograghy brigade and given it a wake up call.
Soon, Negatives will be as old fashioned as wax cylinders was to Vinyl or audio Cassettes were to CDs.
The Modern Camera will be relying on Megabytes for storage as opposed to 35mm film cases.
Of course we already have the facility to use digital cameras today but they lack the comparable prices of our traditional types. A decent 35mm film camera can cost you £200-£300 as opposed to your digital equivalent at 4 times that.
Well I have stumbled across a digital camera that offers superior picture quality for only £450. Not much more than a decent 35mm camera.
Casio have often be remembered as...

Canon IXUS 95 IS: The best amateur digital camera on the market
Advantages: Very high quality pictures for both print and web work.
Disadvantages: The bundled software that comes with it has a very Fisherprice feel about it.
...After reading many reviews on Amazon and amateur camera sites about the different types of hobbyist level digital cameras, I decided to buy one of these.
The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual.
When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. The photos it and you produce are very high quality, as I found out the other day when I had some printed off at home.
The only downside is the bundled software...

Advanced and good value for money digital camera
Advantages: Good camera
Disadvantages: Price
...I bought this camera from marks and spencers for £279.99.
This camera is great due to all the features that it has. It has a great 12x optical zoom, which even at 9x or 10x zoom, the pictures look quite clear and well taken photos. It has a good image stabilisation feature which allows you to take photos even if the object of person is moving very fast.
Its battery life is quite good compared to most ordinary cameras which allows you to take 250 photos on average. It is a 10.1 megapixel camera which has a very high number of pixels for each picture, and I can say this is definitely so when I upload my pictures onto my laptop as the pictures are VERY clear and they still look good when zoomed in by half the size of the picture....

Polaroid PDC 3030 Digital Camera
Advantages: Cheap, Good specifications
Disadvantages: Not Readily Available
...I was looking for a simple, cheap digital camera for both home and business use. I'm self employed and on occasion I need to take a client's photograph to insert in a document. After much deliberating, enter the Polaroid PDC 3030 digital camera.
How Much And From Where?
++++++++++++++++++++++
I bought the camera, 64 MB smart card and a leather carrying case for £99.97 from Argos where the camera alone is £79.99. All in all this deal saved me £20. I searched the internet today and couldn't find this model at any other suppliers.
So What Did I Get For My Money?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
The whole package was delivered as part of a big order I'd placed, and the camera, case and smart card came packaged as one item. It was all sealed in a tamper proof, grey polythene bag. When opened the three items were packaged by...

Casio Exilim EZ-X11 Compact Digital Camera
Advantages: Many features, top of its class for qualtiy, style and functionality
Disadvantages: Camera lense extends beyond camera body when in use
...The Casio Exilim EX-Z11 is my first compact digital camera, and was attracted to it by its range of features at a great price.
the EZ-X11 is an attractive, small light-weight camera, with 3x optical zoom, 7.2M pixel, and a great 2.6" screen.
The camera takes SD cards, and has USB/AV connectivity. Packaged with the camera are the battery, charger, AV cable, USB cable, strap and CD-ROM, which includes software and full instruction manual, however a paper quick-start guide is included.
The picture quality is excellent, and there are many options for users to change settings to obtain desired results, including ISO, white balance, EV, picture quality and resolution, manual or auto focus, plus many other settings. However there is also a Best Shot function, providing access to many pre-set options allowing for quick set...

My First Digital Camera - A Gushy Tribute
Advantages: Bargain buy and provides high quality pictures
Disadvantages: Bit on the bulky side
...Okay,
I was walking down the main shopping street in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I passed a high-street electrical goods retailer. And there, in the window, I saw her!!!
She was blown up in a large promotional poster, and allI could do was stare at her figure(s)! Reduced from 250 pounds to 129 pounds! 4 million pixels! Zoom! Flash! 60 second video recorder!
I had to have her there and then! Luckily I had the money in my account as I had just received a nice little tax rebate (ha ha ha ha). What better way to spend free money than on my first digital camera.
In the store, I was met by an extremely friendly and helpful clerk who showed me the camera. He was confident in the product as he didn't give me any instructions - only that the camera was very easy to use. My girlfriend has had a digital camera for quite a while, so some...

So glad to be back to a Canon!
Advantages: Small, tough, simple and fast to use
Disadvantages: A little expensive
...and I am still pleased with my purchase.
Summary
I'm realling enjoying using the Canon and it lives in my pocket most of the time now, before my camera would always be in a jacket pocket or a bag somewhere.
It's not the cheapest of compact digital cameras and I have no idea if it is significantly better than others, but it's a real improvement over previous cameras for me and it seems to suit my needs. Of course if you are going to do some serious photography then please read some information from somebody that knows about these things :-)
