...Orijen cat and Kitten Dry Food: The last time I was browsing round the Zooplus website I noticed some ?Orijen? dry cat food which said it was suitable for adult cats and kittens of all breeds and that is was supposed to be exceptionally good for your cats health. I read a few of the reviews and decided to give Orijen a go. When the food arrived I was amazed by the ingredients, Tifa has never had it so good and is currently eating better than me! As the ingredients are so amazing I am going to include them in my review below. The food consists of 75% premium animal ingredients, (de-boned chicken, chicken meal, turkey meal, northern whitefish, chicken fat, de-boned turkey, salmon meal, salmon and anchovy oils, de-boned salmon, chicken broth and free-range eggs). Cruelty free cat food

Advantages: Uses free-range chicken, no cruel animal testing
Disadvantages: Only 2 flavours

...Background: I try my best not to buy any products which have been tested on animals. I also only buy organic chicken and eggs because of animal welfare issues. I found it very difficult to stick to these principles when buying food for my cat, until I discovered Burns when looking on the BUAV (British Union for the abolition of Vivsection) website. I found a local stockist and bought a small pack of the chicken version of this food early this year to try on my cat, Maisie, and have been feeding her on it ever since. She took to the new food straight away (although she was already used to dry food) and we experienced no ill effects whatsoever in changing her over (gradually of course). My cats favourite food

...When I first got my cat which was over three years ago, I would buy the cat a rang of cat food, and it did not matter which brand it was but now my cat knows which brand is which and won’t eat anything other than Felix. You may be thinking how can a cat know the difference, it’s food after all. But I have to tell you that my cat won’t eat another brand other than Felix. If he seeds food in the plate, he’ll smell it and if he like it he’ll eat it and if he figures out I’ve put another brand in his plate, he’ll turn away and rub himself against me until I give him what we wants. Tesco Premium Cat Food - buy it!

Advantages: Great value for money, good range, litter doesn't smell
Disadvantages: none for us at all, other users may find some

...We live in a household where 3 cats rule the roost. Well we certainly don't have servants who feeds us and clean our toilets. Or for that matter have free board and lodgings! Yes, we are here to cater to our cats' whims and providing the right food is important, otherwise we wake up to a nice nugget of recycled food strategically placed in protest!! We have gone through all types of food for our cats (2 adults and 1 older kitten) including all the big names and all the value names. One day, being strapped for cash, we decided to risk a protest poo and try feeding the boys Tesco cat food. We realised that from one 30p (or so) tin we can spread it out and feed our cats the same amount of food as three 30p (or so) whiskas pouches!! Some cats just don't know they're born

...When my sister came to live with me a year ago, she brought with her one small boy and two cats. When we divided chores between us, I took on the role of shopper, whereby she informed me that the cats - Ruby and Razor - would eat Felix Foil Trays and NOTHING ELSE. Fair enough. Or that's what I thought until I got to the supermarket and found that this was just about the most expensive cat food they sold. So began my attempts to surreptitiously introduce the hitherto spoiled pets to cheaper, less extravagant meals. 3 fussy cats all love felix

Advantages: good quality. good range of flavours. reasonable price.

...I have three "fussy" eldery cats who seem to change their mind daily on which cat food they like.After going through the whole range it has become apparent that Felix is their main choice. I like felix because the chunks of meat are not too solid and they do not get left so much after the cats have licked off all the jelly or gravy.Its slightly cheaper than another brand and and available in many flavours. its availabe in the senior version which i think has made a difference to my cats fur and general well being , they also do not seem to have so much hair shedding or furr balls and generally are in good spirits.I would love to see felix bring out their own brand of special diet food for urinary and diabetic and light for overweight cats that was not so expensive as other brands and made as wet food instead of the dried variety....

Felix - my cat will eat nothing else

Disadvantages: Cannot think of any

...I personally cannot see the attraction, but my cat Purdy (hence my Ciao name!) adores all Felix products. I have tried other well known brand names such as Whiskas which is more or less in the same price bracket, along with shops own brand, and l can tell by the way the food is in the dish at the end of the day that she has not been impressed. I would also note from a personal view that Felix is the brand that smells the least. I can tell when another brand has been used to feed her highness because the smell hits you when you walk in to the house (or perhaps l simple have a sensitive nose!) There is wide variety of choice with Felix and even seasonal meals such as Turkey at Xmas! Shes seems to lap them all up! I would note that perhaps she is not so keen on the gravy varietys as opposed to the jelly ones - but l personally...
