Studio - Excellent Catalogue / Website

Advantages: Loads of gift ideas & cheaper than most shops
Disadvantages: Sometimes delivery can take a long time

...A family member told me about this catalogue just before Christmas so I thought I would take a look & I was very impressed witht he range of products they do ranging from little nic naks to complete bedroom furniture etc. It was a ideal little catalogue fo me to go through just before Chrsitmas as it gave me loads of ideas for little presents that I could buy for only a few pounds & it had a excellent selection of Christmas cards & wrapping paper at a fraction of the cost of the high street. The best thing about this site/catalogue is the prices, most items are a lot cheaper than you will find in shops like Argos etc, for example I have just purchased a chest of drawers from them, it cost £40, for a similar product in Argos was nearly £75, so I had a massive saving & Im also currently waiting for some curtains to arrive which on all...

Argos - just another catalogue company

Advantages: Convenient
Disadvantages: Disinterested, bored looking staff, not good value for money

...I used to shop occassionally at Argos but have since given up. I am surprised that, after reading a few opinions here on Argos, that so many think they are good value. I personally think Argos is not good value. The reason? I was looking at different prices of lawn mowers for my husband and looked at Homebase, B&Q, different catalogues, Argos and Index. I was very surprised because up till then I considered Argos more of a high street store, but the prices of lawn mowers at Argos where about the same as those found in your usual run of the mill catalogue companies. In fact - in this instances, Argos turned out to be more expensive than Homebase and B&Q. Best catalogue to use

Advantages: Browse at home, good prices
Disadvantages: queues can be long

...I always get this catalogue every time it comes out i send my husband out to argos in the morning to make sure i dont miss out from getting the catalogue. As soon as he brings it home i sit and look at it from cover to cover and it has over 1000 pages and has everything possible you could ever really want including gifts for the family, jewellery, household appliances, kitchen goods, bedding, bedroom furniture, house furniture, small range of baby goods, toys, tools and many more things. Index-The Littlewoods Catalogue Store

Advantages: There is a very wide range of items, so all shopping can be done at once
Disadvantages: Shops can get busy, so cues can be long.

Advantages: good stock availability on clothing, easy returns, free delivery
Disadvantages: customer service not great, don't communicate well

...Choice I have held an account with Choice for about four years now and have found them pretty good up until a recent bad experience. This catalogue is part of the littlewoods group and includes kays, great universal and additions. As with most catalogues they give you a credit limit and send a monthly statement requesting a minimum payment. You can pay by direct debit, credit/debit card, at the post office or bank counter by cheque or by online/tele-banking. A LIVING CATALOGUE

Advantages: Plenty of choice with beautiful gardens to wander through
Disadvantages: Little seating and somewhat more expensive than your average garden centre

I?d recently moved to South Cheshire and having seen the ads in the local newspaper decided that I wanted to visit what sounded like one humungous garden centre! Even so, I can honestly say that I hadn?t anticipated anything quite as large as Bridgemere. Covering more than 6 acres, this is a gardener?s dream come true! Thousands upon thousands of plants are for sale and, best of all in my opinion, there are extensive gardens that act as a living catalogue! During spring the azaleas and rhododendrons are alive with colour, closely followed by poppies in all sorts of colours and other early summer perennials. ...I've never been one to fall for a sweeping statement or in fact to believe you can earn money without an awful lot of hard work - maybe that's from attending the school of hard knocks for most of my life, so when I saw the ad 'earn £400 - £600 pounds' - I knew it wasn't going to be easy. But we needed a few extra pounds to supplement our income, so I rang the number and left an answerphone message. The reply came very quickly, I asked the lady what the work involved - collecting and delivering catalogues was the reply - and the company? Kleeneze. I made an appointment to see her the following evening at my home. The laminated book of dreams....

Advantages: jam packed with everything you need at low prices, you can shop wherever!
Disadvantages: catalogue cuts...worse than paper ones!!

...The Argos Catalogue!! August 07 The first thing that I love about the Argos Book is that its a free catalogue which is jam packed with everything and anything. What alot of people forget is that alot of places you have to pay or subscribe for catalogues. The front cover is so eye catching this years is 'Bursting With Choice' and shows numerous popular items bursting through a hole in the book .i.e. a Sony Ericsson Phone, Dinosaur, Sofa. Each different section is colour coded so its easier to find the items which your looking at. At the front of the book and now infront of each different section there is a key. Example.
