Studio - Excellent Catalogue / Website

Advantages: Loads of gift ideas & cheaper than most shops
Disadvantages: Sometimes delivery can take a long time

...the sites I looked where £65 per set but on Studio they where only £32.99 so I got my two sets for what I would have been paying for one & they are also on Quidco so you get can even more money back buy going through them. The catalogue has loads and loads of choices from Garden Furniture, clothes, electricals, toys & games, homeware & gifts (the list goes on). If you are looking for a little something for a birthday, new baby etc this is a good site to look at because you can get a lot of personalised gifts on it so you can have mugs, photo frames, towels etc etc with the persons name on it. Catalogue with a difference.

Advantages: Clothes with a bit of 'la difference'.
Disadvantages: Some clothes are a little on the pricey side.

When the catalogue first came out, I must admit I was not very impressed, but since the company was launched around three years ago, their catalogue has improved 100%. The catalogue itself is not your basic 'Freemans' or 'Kays catalogue, the styles are very different and definately french orientated. Some of the clothes are a bit way out, but the catalogues suits individual needs from your teen fashions to over 50's, so there is a good choice in the catalogue for any age. A few people have had problems with their paperwork but in my experience, customer service have been very helpful and efficient if you have a query. Best catalogue to use

Advantages: Browse at home, good prices

...they do. Argos have a website who do delivery normally in 48hrs unless its a big kitchen appliance such as a washer then its normally about a week. The only thing with delivery is you have to spend more then £120 to get free delivery otherwise there is a £3.95 charge. The website address is www.argos.co.uk. If you go in store they have stock checkers so you can see if your item is in stock without having the need to queue up and be disappointed its not in stock. Argos do good sales as well and discount stock really well. The price for some items is more expensive as other shops over the few months reduce the price of items in store where argos cant as its in the catalogue. ...I've only quite recently begun shopping with Amazon, the main reason being receiving vouchers from survey sites and from on here. It's now one of the first sites I look at when making a purchase. ~~~ Products ~~~ Amazon.co.uk stocks a massive variety of products. So far everything I have searched for has been available to buy on the site, although most of the things have been quite common like DVD's and games. I can't think of anywhere that stocks as much stuff as Amazon, maybe not even Ebay. ~~~ Prices ~~~ The prices on Amazon are very competitive and are usually the cheapest place to but DVD's and games, again being usually cheaper than Ebay, I have no doubt that this is the case for many other products. The main down side is that cash back sites don't offer cash back for Amazon, or am I on the wrong cash back site...

Argos - just another catalogue company

...I used to shop occassionally at Argos but have since given up. I am surprised that, after reading a few opinions here on Argos, that so many think they are good value. I personally think Argos is not good value. The reason? I was looking at different prices of lawn mowers for my husband and looked at Homebase, B&Q, different catalogues, Argos and Index. I was very surprised because up till then I considered Argos more of a high street store, but the prices of lawn mowers at Argos where about the same as those found in your usual run of the mill catalogue companies. In fact - in this instances, Argos turned out to be more expensive than Homebase and B&Q.
