...CBeebies.co.uk...... The website for CBeebies is brilliant and many hours can be spent looking for your child's favourite character or printing out pictures to colour in. CBeebies is a channel designed specifically for pre-school children. It is located on channel 614 Sky or 71 digibox. The website for the channel can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies. The website itself is very easy to navigate around and from the main menu screen you can find anything you want to relating to the programmes that are shown on the TV channel. From the home page there is an easy to follow sub menu listed down the left hand side. Cbeebies Magazine - A Treat Other Than Sweets

...Cbeebies Weekly Magazine...... Jack is a big fan of Cbeebies and it is a channel that is on in our house more than any other, so when I saw this magazine relating to the television channel I thought I would give it a try. Cbeebies the television channel is based for children of pre-school age, so really from birth to 4 but has shows suitable for children of all ages (and some shows I really do like). The magazine related entirely to this channel, the shows aired on it and the presenters. The magazine costs £1.99 pence which I find a little high for any magazine however it does always come with a free gift which makes you feel you are getting a bit more for your money. ...I was more than surprised to discover that this product had not been reviewed before. Due to the popularity of the channel and most of the characters that have been aired there, I just assumed there would be at least ten, very grateful reviews on this item!! The product I will now review is the "Cbeebies BBC weekly", magazine, one of a couple of my tried and tested forms of bribery towards my children!! The magazine in itself is rather a formidable item being one of the largest in size on display, it is however only the outside cover that is bigger, and the rest of the "inside" magazine is back to normal size! ~~~~~~ CONTENTS ~~~~~~ I will start with the front cover, due to the sheer volume of content the front cover is extremely busy. Advantages: Keeps the kids occupied
Disadvantages: you could be watching all day!

...We have had the Cbeebies channel for as long as it been broadcasting and it?s been an absolute Godsend over the years. It somehow has the ability to keep a young child spellbound. The channel is available from Freeview, Satellite and Cable suppliers. You will find it on Channel 616 on Sky and channel 702 on Telewest Digital. Its a wonderful cbeebies day!

Advantages: Fun learning, colourful, little children love
Disadvantages: Songs get stuck in your head! Loop programming

...I got pregnant and had all these ideas... My child would only drink water, my child wouldn't watch much tv.... Hmmmm. At about 4 weeks old we discovered Cbeebies (available on Sky, cable and freeview). It is the preschool channel from BBC. Full of lots of different 20 minute programmes aimed at little people (preschool). She loved all the colours and songs! It has some great programmes - Balamory, all about a scottish island, and the bizzare people on there, learning about crossing roads, making things etc. Fimbles (my personal favourite) - kind of like Teletubbies, but much more loveable, and they speak in whole sentences, the find something new each day, and learn about it. Big Cook, Little Cook - a fun cooking show, meant to be watched with mummy, and then get creative in the kitchen. Tikkabilla - modern day playschool...

Where Do You Go When You Want To Play? CBeebies!

...~ ~ ~ Overview ~ ~ ~ ?Can I watch My Beebies?? is a question usually heard around breakfast time in our household. ?My Beebies? refers to the BBC preschool channel CBeebies which can be found on digital television. I do limit Jacob?s TV time generally and he isn?t a child who is happy to be sat glued to the telly for hours on end ? he?s far too busy causing other kinds of mayhem. Viki - aged 6 - tells you about Cbeebies...

...Well, who better than my six year old daughter, Viktoria, to review one of our household’s favourite TV channels, CBeebies? This has often saved my sanity, got Viki out of her regular tantrums (She has Oppositional Defiance Disorder) and given me a few minutes’ much welcome peace and quiet. On from 6am until 7pm, it fits in perfectly with little ones waking up and going to bed. The programmes are British, well made and almost always of an educational nature so, while I wouldn’t advocate letting your kids vegetate in front of the TV all day every day, when you do let them, you can be reassured they are watching something decent. GLUED TO CBEEBIES

Advantages: Great choice of programs for small kiddies
Disadvantages: Annoying theme tunes adults may find themselves singing all day

...With a 6 month old girl in the house, life can get pretty hectic and demanding. Trying to get time to do the housework can sometimes be a struggle when you are trying to keep the kids amused at the same time. This is where the good old television comes in handy! My t.v. is constantly tuned in to the CBeebies channel on cable (our channel 127 - programmed to the brain!) and Mirrin is instantly quiet and amused! With programmes aimed at young kids like the "Fimbles" (Mirrin's fave), the "Tweenies", "Bits And Bobs", "Clifford The Big Red Dog" and "64 Zoo Lane" they keep tots amused with all-singing all-dancing antics that even the most hard to impress kid will find entertaining - giving you peace to get that dusting and hoovering you've been meaning to do done, before you need to get the dinner ready! Wrong button mummy - want CBeebies!

...So what's that title all about then I hear you ask! Well that's what my son says whenever I turn the channel over to something I actually want to watch! CBeebies is a kiddies programme, found on BBC in the early morning and afternoon, and has it's very own channel on Digital/Cable/Freeview, which is on for 13 hours a day (6am until 7pm), seven days a week. 13 hours!!! Does any parent let their kid watch tv for that amount of time!!? Not me. I like to limit the amount of time my son can watch TV for, plus he doesn't sit still for long amounts of time any way, which is definately a good thing! The programmes which are shown are generally quite educational and feature dancing exercises, counting, things you may find when you're out and about (cars/trees/things in supermarkets and the like).
